The food, cocktails and service can't be beat. If I was a professional man of leisure, I would spend every day here in the summer.

This is near my home town and located in the North Platte River Valley. It's a small 9 hole course…read moreusually open from April through October. I learned to play golf on this course when I was about 6 years old. This is a really nice course, tall cottonwood trees located all around, deer, antelope, and various other kinds of wildlife can usually be seen....just watch out for rattle snakes...but you have to do that at most golf courses in Wyoming! This is a nice, quite, out of the way and relaxing course...I have a special place for the one though so I might be a little biased.

My wife felt the Loaded Hashbrowns ($13) were too greasy. My kids' French Toast ($9) consisted of two slices of bread, each cut in half. When the waitress asked if they would like a side of Bacon ($4), they didn't know it was extra. Throw in a large Orange Juice ($3.50), and you're looking at a pretty pricey breakfast. We wished the restaurant would have opened earlier than 8:00a, in order to easily rendezvous at Ryan Park at 9:00a for snowmobiling.

We chose to eat outside, and had to awkwardly stand next to our table for a few minutes while two waitresses bickered over who would take our table. Once we sat down, we were greeted by a barrage of flies, more than typical of eating outside. We later realized that it was because staff was dumping out unfinished beverages in the grass 10 feet from where we and several other tables were sitting. We decided not to order anything past appetizers and happily left after we finished our drinks.

Holiday Inn Express is our go-to hotel when traveling. We…read morefound ourselves stuck in Rawlins unexpectedly when the interstate closed for wind and ice and were so happy to find a Holiday Inn Express. It was easy to locate and access. Price was fair. The lady working at the front desk was friendly and answered all of my questions. The lobby was quiet and clean. Our room was also clean and very comfortable. The shower was interesting - great water pressure, however some of the nozzles were definitely misaligned because the water was spraying off to the sides. The bed was just okay, but we got a good night's sleep. Overall, would stay again if needed.
