Our car broke down and we ended up staying here. It was the only good thing that happened…read more First things first. Our room was large. The beds were comfortable. It had a flat Tv, with lots of channels. There was AC we could control, and a large fridge. The fridge by the way, wasn't in our room on arrival. We'd asked if we could put some things in their fridge and five minutes later the Landlady bought up our own fridge. On her own! The bathroom was an older model, with shower/bath unit, but everything was really clean. We even bathed our kids in the bath, which is a first for us at a hotel.(as we're a bit fussy) The breakfast was great too. Every table received a large basket of breads and croissants. The coffee was good, and my wife liked her musli and yougurt. But here's the important part! I'd hurt my foot a few days before, swimming with the kids. And it had become infected. It had swollen up, was weeping and was very painful. The landlady saw this and called the Doctor for me (sadly I can't speak French), who then came to the hotel. I had to go to a hospital, which was about thirty kilometers away. She even offered to pick me up, when I was finished. The hospital proscribed me some antibiotics, which she then drove my wife to get at the chemist. She even bandaged my foot! The Landlord helped get me my money back from the Ambulance company who kept hanging up on me. One call from him and I had my money in my hand ten minutes later, no joke. Even their receptionist helped me out with a phone charger when my one broke. She gave me one for free. Like I said we'd broken down after a three week holiday and we had loads of luggage, which we had to take out of the car, and they let us store it in their living room!! And they were great with the kids too, even letting them chose a treat from their vending machine. And there were a thousand other things that will most likely come to mind after I've posted this. I've lived in a few countries and I've visited a few more. I have never received so much hospitality and friendliness as I did over those three days at the Hotel. All I can do is say thank you and write this review, for the whole team at Hôtel Du Centre and a especially for our good samaritan the Landlady. I hope someone takes the time and trouble to read this review, and then stays there. I truly recommend it. We weren't planing at staying at Hôtel Du Centre but I'm glad that we did.

LBdG is one of the best hotels in the world, period…read more It's located on the top of the hill over looking the beautiful village of Gordes. Everything was top notch!! They made sure that my stay was more than just relaxing and comforting. They made sure everything I requested was done in a snap. From the first step into the hotel, the concierge to the front desk, they greeted me with smiles and warm welcomes. They kept my car clean and ready at all times and my room was spotless with fresh towels throughout the day. From room service to dining restaurants, the service and the food were just exquisite beyond my highest expectations. Big shout out to the concierge and everyone served me throughout my stay. I am a customer for life!! I had the hotel all to myself to the last day of October 27 before the closure for the winter months. What an unforgettable and unbelievable experience!! As far as I'm concern, even if no one can speak any English here, their actions have met all of my expectations and more LOUD & CLEAR. I love you LBdG!! Best to none!! The experience was EPIC!!

The bastides is a palace ( above 5 star) and as such everything should be 5 stars…read more This review is about the bar so it is not about the rooms nor the Michelin starred restaurant pierre gagnaire: In the afternoon after a walk in Gordes on a hot day we stopped at the terrace to have a drink The beers are expensive at $20 for 2 and we had to insist for some nibbles (we asked for peanuts; response from the waiter : "let me see what I can do "as if it was the first time such a simple request is made. He came back with a few salty biscuits ). At this price and in this class of hotel this should not even be a request . 3 star because the view from the hotel is amazing I will come back to stay in the hotel and try the main restaurant Hopefully I will be able to update my review
