It had a flat Tv, with lots of channels. There was AC we could control, and a large fridge. The fridge by the way, wasn't in our room on arrival. We'd asked if we could put some things in their fridge and five minutes later the Landlady bought up our own fridge. On her own! The bathroom was an older model, with shower/bath unit, but everything was really clean. We even bathed our kids in the bath, which is a first for us at a hotel.(as we're a bit fussy) The breakfast was great too. Every table received a large basket of breads and croissants. The coffee was good, and my wife liked her musli and yougurt. But here's the important part! I'd hurt my foot a few days before, swimming with the kids. And it had become infected. It had swollen up, was weeping and was very painful. The landlady saw this and called the Doctor for me (sadly I can't speak French), who then came to the hotel. I had to go to a hospital, which was about thirty kilometers away. She even offered to pick me up, when I was finished. The hospital proscribed me some antibiotics, which she then drove my wife to get at the chemist. She even bandaged my foot! The Landlord helped get me my money back from the Ambulance company who kept hanging up on me. One call from him and I had my money in my hand ten minutes later, no joke. Even their receptionist helped me out with a phone charger when my one broke. She gave me one for free. Like I said we'd broken down after a three week holiday and we had loads of luggage, which we had to take out of the car, and they let us store it in their living room!! And they were great with the kids too, even letting them chose a treat from their vending machine. And there were a thousand other things that will most likely come to mind after I've posted this. I've lived in a few countries and I've visited a few more. I have never received so much hospitality and friendliness as I did over those three days at the Hotel. All I can do is say thank you and write this review, for the whole team at Hôtel Du Centre and a especially for our good samaritan the Landlady. I hope someone takes the time and trouble to read this review, and then stays there. I truly recommend it. We weren't planing at staying at Hôtel Du Centre but I'm glad that we did.

Sweet. Different but definitely worth a stay. We found this gem through our search for a Hotel to…read morestay at for more than one night on our honeymoon. The Pictures speak for themselves and so we decided to give this a try. Parking: We were able and allowed to park our motorcycle directly at this impressive front door. First Impressions: The entrance gave us a wow effect already. We were greeted by our host and shown around and were both in awe. High ceilings, heavy furniture, huge Windows ... what an Impression. And though this entire place sure is nice, the Dining room captured me instantly ... it smelled of cinnamon, felt warm and cozy and was definitely my favourite room from the get go. After this small tour Monsieur (that is what we called our host) showed us our room which was really nice and big. Due to it being quiet hot outside we were thankful for the modern A/C in our room. The toilet and the bathroom with a nice bathtub were seperate (within the room) which I found quiet nice. The next surprise was the hidden pool in the arch ... beautiful. There was also a shower and a hamam that you could also use for an extra Charge. It was hot outside and a swim in this pool sure did wake this Girl up again. What a pleasure! Breakfast: Was not included in the Price of our stay but we were able to book it so that was good. We had hot coffee, jelly, ham, cheese, a fried egg upon request and one Croissant each as well as Baguette. Breakfast was good and offered all we needed though it was a bit disappointing for us that we were given some sliced rather tasteless cheese instead of a real French cheese (which is really good) and the ham was nothing out of the ordinary either. Other then that it was good and we have had enough to bring us through until lunchtime. Host: Our host, Monsieur, was very Kind, helpful and friendly. We were told to ring the bell if anything was needed. Cleanliness: As this is is an old Manor house, huge too even if it doesn't really look that way from the outside, it is a bit dusty in the Corners but that is something we could easily live with. Surroundings: What was a bit tough was the fact that it is hard to find Restaurants Close by. We did a bit of Walking before we found a couple of them but you Kind of have to search. If you look Close enough you might find a gem there too ;-) My Suggestion: Give it a try, spend a night or more in this amazing manor house and see for yourself. We enjoyed every Minute of it and would go there again. Enjoy!
