I went to enroll my child he is 3 years old is on the spectrum very mild case but he is on spectrum. And she's asking me so many questions about why he's on the spectrum and the whole time she just shaking her head no as if she already had her mind made up. My son been in daycare since he was 1 so a little over 2 years he's been in daycare & she just like no we don't really accept autism kids they require 2/3 teachers in a class. Also if you bring this up to the owner he says " I DONT GIVE A RAT ASS" so if you bring your kids here , just know they just want your money & don't care about your kids. I gave 1star because there is no negative rating scale. My grandson started there about 8 months ago and it started out great. Or so we thought. After a teacher change this March , it went downhill from then on. Multiple times he was in someone else's socks, pampers etc.... and the excuses was he was out yet my daughter pointed out his items as soon as she came in and the new teacher was like "Oh I didn't see them". Not to mention my daughter writes his name on EVERY pamper she leaves. Another time another child had his pampers on them because my grandson's name was on it. But the more recent event was the draw. Last week he came home with a bloody nose and busted lip. The explanation was that another child pulled a chair from under him and that's all they saw. The cameras were never available to see what actually happened. Then yesterday he came home with a huge infected bite bruise in the middle of his back. We contacted his doctor immediately last night and she requested to see him today and prescribed antibiotic ointment for it because skin was broken. And of course the cameras were not available for my daughter to view this morning. He will not be going back and I DO NOT recommend anyone to leave their children there that can't talk for themselves. My grandson is only 1 years old will be 2 in 2 months so he can't tell us what happened. read more

It's really nice to have 24 hour care available but the problem i have with this place is the uncleanliness. My child is always sick when he is there and always coming back with sores on him. Most of the staff is nice. But I'm just concerned about the way they run things there. Also, i understand that kids get sick in daycares but my Child can never catch a break with being sick even with me sending meds to help with it; which brings me back to the uncleanliness of it. I'd go back if they would clean more often and my baby didn't stay sick. read more

I am a single parent with no help. I was in need of a facility that could provide care for my 2 1/2 yr. old at odd hours. I went to the school to sign my child up and was disapointed that the lady was so rude, abrupt, and uncaring. I simply asked if they had a spot available for a 2 1/2 yr old and Rita was so uninviting & rude. She asked if I had paperwork and I stated "no I came here to get paperwork and info" I thought I would be able to fill out on site but was advised to bring back. I did as commanded and my son began. The nasty attitude from Rita continued. I was told I didn't provide certain things for my child (extra outfit) Next day my childs things that I provided were there. I, of course, after her nasty remarks and attitude said "so you found my son's things i see" Since, he has come back with a bruise and today as I walked up he was crying. I asked the teacher she said "I don't know he just started crying" My son said teacher hit him on head. I understand if you need a facility that can provide 24/7 childcare just realize that your child will be treated like an animal. read more

So, yesterday I went to the facility with my two children. This is my first time taking my children to daycare. So, of course a new mom and new to daycare situations I had a lot of questions. The front desk clerk in the main office was so rude. I had two children in my arms while I stood for about a minute or two at the front desk before she acknowledge that I was there. And when she did, she did not look at me, she was obviously pre-occupied with something else. I didn't really think anything of it, because it's a daycare, there's a lot of things going on (sick babies, parents need to be contacted, etc) so maybe I thought that was taking her attention. I was wrong. She proceeded to tell me that today Tuesday January 17, 2017 was pay day, and she just spent up her entire pay check on a cable bill that she didn't want to pay. She didn't want her son wanted that cable and although she just spent $183.00 on the cable bill it was too much and she was going to let it get cut off. I just stared at her like, are you fucking serious. So, I was like ok, she's having a bad day... once she vents about her son, the cable bill and being broke on pay day she will regroup and get back to the reason I was there. I asked her if I could tour the facility, she said they don't do tours they just take you to the class that the children will be in. I thought ok so I follow her to the infants room (my son is 7 months old). On the way to the room, she started talking about that fucking cable bill all over again. I was so rattled about that bitch and the cable bill, when I made it to his potential room and forgot all the questions I wanted to ask about his day to day care in that room. On the way to my daughters room ( 2 years old) she mentioned the bill one more time. Mind you, I have never taken my children to daycare, so I wanted to know if there was a list of things I should bring for the 2 of them that they require. If I could bring my daughter extra snacks. I wasn't able to ask any of those questions because it seemed as if the front desk clerk was in a hurry. After I left the second room we walked back to the front desk, now there stood a bunch of her coworkers so she completely ignored me at this point. She started talking and yucking it up with them, I started to walk out and she remembered that I was there, and asked me if I had an application. She gave me the application, and started talking to them again. She didn't say goodbye, she didn't brand the business by saying "thank you for stopping by Robindell Private School", nothing. I walked out less that excited about this place. Now, I know she's just the front desk clerk, but she is also the face and voice of the business. I was completely turned off, but my husband said to give them one more chance and see if you can talk to someone at the facility that is actually willing to give you information that you are looking for about the daycare. I will give them one more chance and visit the daycare one more time, if I get the same treatment. I was completely disappointed with this facility and I was excited about it before I got there. I only came here because I work odd hours and sometimes need care overnight, but after visiting the "school", I'd rather pay $1,000 a month to have a nanny come spend the night at my house with my son. The class rooms are beyond small. I'm surprised its legal to keep kids crammed in such a tight space all day. The teachers are hood as hell. Hardly speak English, that shit is closer to ebonics. I asked for a lesson plan so I can see what they do during the day/night and they refused to provide me with one until I enrolled my son. HUH? That's ass backwards. The food is trash and the milk is actually powdered water. At 8pm they move all the kids into this big, bland room and that's where they sleep. This place is for people that are from the ghetto and not use too much. Might not be a PC statement, but its true. Kids here are excelling, they are simply be watched. Let me give a detailed description as to why I say to NOT bring your child here unless it is NECESSARY. Not only did my car get broken into in broad day light informer of their open window office, they told me there was pretty much nothing they could do. They had the incident on tape but they don't have face or license plate recognition. Geeez! At a daycare! Also my sister was able to walk right in and get my son and walk right out without anyone saying anything to her. She wasn't even on my pick up list!! Anyone could come and take a child. I was a student at Robindell Private School and I can honestly say that the time I was going there the teachers was very nice they made sure I was in good care but now that I'm older I see and know what's going on there from the teachers to Mr.Chuck I have a two year old daughter and would not refer no one to that day care my sisters and my mom worked there my nephews complained several times about the teachers mistreating them and talking to them crazy.The teachers discriminate the kids by saying they don't want the kids because of the kids is bad . Mr.Chuck do not discipline his employees for mistreating the kids he just move them around so that makes me think about the other kids that go there.The juice and milk dispenser have nets flying around it I feel that is not sanitary for the kids to be drinking from there(in each building)Robindell Private School is not Robindell Private School anymore it's a place that's all about the money instead of the kids. read more

This is the worst school to send your child to! Everyday my child comes home and tells me that another student has been hitting on her. The teachers and staff never send home any incident reports. We came for a drop-in for the second time, having only been there once. The place is a little run down, but the kids don't seem to mind for a few hours. They told us we owed them $193, an obvious error. They were not able to say why we owed that amount, and they had not called or mailed anything. They would not let the kids stay unless we paid the $193 (we didn't) and said we should call Monday to work it out. I think we'll just find somewhere else to go. read more

My son attended the drop in day care at robindell and liked it at first because they took field trips. But then he started to throw tantrums after about a week because of the teachers. He says that they yell at the kids all day long for no reason, never towards him but to everyone else. Before I started my current position I worked in child care for 6 years and this is a good place to send your child. My girls age 1 and 3 go here and are happy here. No daycare is perfect but they do strive for excellence. If you have a problem the owner does whatever in his power to fix it. When I thought my daughters shoes were left he took his time and with through the video footage to find out what happen and offered to pay for them if they were at fault. The shoes were actually left at the doctors office but he did try to get to the bottom of my problem. They offer discounts on tuition and work with crazy schedules. The center is well kept and the teachers are experienced and happy there as well many of them have been there for many years. My daughter learns and she plays. I love it here and my kids do to. I use Robindell for drop in day care for my toddler. It's affordable, reasonably clean, and open 24/7. They teach the 2 year olds their letters and colors and give them outside time. I never felt like my child might be stolen. read more

I been following an incident that happened with a child who went here. I wouldn't recommend no child to attend this school. No child is perfect, but the owner here expects them to be. He feels if your child is acting up then it gives his employees the right to mistreat your child instead of calling the parent(s). It's in your best interest to find another school for your child since Mr. Chuck will find every excuse on why his employee(s) are allowed to mistreat the kids. And that's just my opinion. read more

My daughter attends and I must say, the women who care for her do an amazing job. She is always playing with something when I arrive and is always her happy and chipper self. At every other daycare she's been to, we've had to battle serious diaper rash but here, so far so good. They really have the right women caring for her Infant II class. This month my children have been attending Robindell a year. I can genuinely say this is one of the best daycare in the area, if only. 80% of the teachers are wonderful and great to work with and seem to really care. I find that the teachers that are a little older seem more stable and loving towards the children. My children really enjoy the food, especially the lunch and dinner options. The only thing I wish is for breakfast there was options to pick from since unfortunately one of my children is a picky eaters and they don't allow me to bring outside food. I also find that the ladies (some of the cooks) in the kitchen aren't friendly to the kids (so make sure to monitor their behavior) In regards to any issues, if I EVER have a real issue or concern Mr. Chuck has been extremely fair (once you can track him down). This past year I have been remarkably happy with this facility. Additionally I would like to add that Ms. Phylis is amazing, she is a bit rough around the edges but once you meet her you will see she is so caring and really takes her job serious. She deeply cares for the children's well being and most importantly their safety. My only constructive comment would be, I wish the teachers who sit in the cafeteria area In the morning were a little more friendly and approachable. The demeanor is that of unfriendliness and my children are a little intimidated and like me to stick around so they can eat with me present. They also have cameras which cant be remotely monitored but if any concerns Mr. Chuck will make him self available for review. I haven't personally had to do this but it is good to know. I took my child here for too long...the people are nice enough, but they are definitely not clean enough. My child was in the small infant room. The teachers did not clean the changing table after they changed a baby on it, wash their hands, or use gloves! I witnessed this several times. This is very important when dealing with babies! Plus, they let them all roll around on this carpet and use the same swings and chairs, that I'm sure they rarely cleaned. Several times, the teachers put my child's things in another parent's bag, and I would find other children's things in my bag when we'd get home. They do not have much of any security system during the day. People just come and go as they please, they just expect you to sign your child in and out of a book. I think that by the time they put your times in their computer, someone could have taken your child and have been long gone by then. Furthermore, my child was constantly sick when I was bringing him to Robindell. Either he had a cold or a stomach virus. Then, he'd make me or my husband sick. After two months of this craziness, I pulled him out of there and put him into a home daycare. He has not been sick at all since then, and we have all been much happier. read more

I, actually, took the time to get to know who the teachers were and they were very friendly despite having to teach and look after the other students. This is been my worst experience with a daycare center. The director Chuck Wall and his assistant director Rita are rude and unprofessional when faced with the challenge of dealing with concerned parents. My child was attending robindell since April 19th 2017 and has discontinued attendance as of November 1st 2017. I have had many incidents with the caregivers who do the bare minimum when it comes to taking care of people's children. I have had caregivers steal diapers from other children and put them on my child although he has always had enough diapers for his time in there care. I have had caregivers steal his diapers and give them to other children. I have had caregivers still unopened packs of specialty wipes for my child and replace them with off-brand wipes. The director has acknowledged that has caregivers we're stealing from my child by compensating me for stolen merchandise however those caregivers continue to work at Robindale and they continue to steal from other children. I have had caregivers allow my child to stand for prolonged periods and ant piles that caused him to be covered in 30-plus ant bites on both of his feet up his legs and on his hands and arms. I have had staff members informed me that they have witness other staff mistreating my child and and the staff member took it upon themselves to remove my child for his own safety from other staff members. I have interacted with other parents who are facing the same situation current and previous who are also being told by the director Chuck that these are isolated incidences that are not happening to other children. I have had staff members tell me that it is pointless to talk to the director Chuck about my concerns because he will not do anything unless the state of Texas regulations board give him a monetary fine. Chuck has never gone in with me to supervise or address my concerns with his direct caregivers. The most recent incident happened on Halloween of 2017 where two caregivers were in the classroom while my child ran around missing a shoe that had been unlaced and another student Age 2 years old was running around with the shoelace endangering herself and every other child in the classroom. Upon entering that classroom both caregivers were in deep conversation with one another while the children ran around unsupervised and both caregivers lied stating that they had only been in the classroom for 5 minutes while the assistant director Rita confirm that they had been on camera and that classroom for 1 hour. When speaking to Rita about my concerns she explained that after the children are walking up for nap they are not super vised for 1 hour while the caregivers potty train and pick up cots which allows the children to run around without adult paying attention to their actions. After telling her that I did not think that that was an appropriate response as to why my child had missing shoes really decided she did not have to do her job and speak with me and chose to hang up in my face while I was speaking. The following day I spoke to Chuck about my concerns who refused to allow me to watch the cameras to see if my child was being monitored. When I asked for information to report him to the board of regulations he told me that my child could no longer attend because he was tired of me and tired of my two-year-old son who has never had a behavior report who has no incidents of misbehavior and who every direct care giver has enjoyed having to the point where they continue to care for him even as he moves through the classes when at all possible. Chuck is never available when it comes time to deal with incidences and the school because he always leaves before 3 p.m. and does not show up before 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Most of the staff say they do not know what the regulations are and that they're allowed to make up their own rules based on their judgment and that those rules can change daily depending on who is in the building and who the child is. This is the worst day care that you could send your child to. Save yourself the trouble. read more

While searching for daycares for my son, I came across Robindell and noticed they were within reasonable price range for me and happened to work with my work schedule. I called and asked if I could schedule a tour, which surprisingly they said to come anytime. A couple days later I dropped by for a tour and couldnt find which building to turn into as there are two. The woman on the phone acted as if I was an idiot and rudely told me that there are two buildings, one OBVIOUSLY for the older children which was closed. Okay.. not to mention how uncomfortable I am getting lost in this highly suspicious neighborhood. That should have been my first sign to turn around. As I walked in I asked for a tour which seemed to surprise them. I was then told to sit in the waiting area for someone. As I was sitting there I noticed there were a bunch of screens showing very clear security cameras on each room, which is good for them I'll give that. I waited about 30 minutes listening to the woman at the desk calling at least three kid's parents leaving messages that their children have been throwing up and they had called multiple times to get someone to pick them up, which she then turned to me and said they are all just ignoring because they want to stay at work. wow. When I was finally given a "tour", I was taken down a hall into one room, the "baby room" there was a teacher in there. The lady said, "This is Danielle, she's thinking about putting her 11 month old in here.", to which the teacher said "oh." and carried on. Rude? So that was it. a ONE room tour. I was then led to a table with registration packets and a lunch menu. I looked at the menu and it is nothing my son would eat/ looks like cheap frozen food they would serve over and over. I asked if I could pack food for him to which she answered why would you? I went home and did a quick review search on this place and yikes.. All I'm saying is maybe they need to work on how they treat people if they expect any (decent) business. read more

We have 3 children...2,4, and 6...We have been taking our children to Robindell for about a month now and I am pleased with how my children have transitioned. They come home happy everyday and the teachers really seem to care and get to know them. When I walk my children through the campus to drop them off, the teachers address them by name, which amazes me, being that they've only been there a short time and the school has such a large enrollment. I like that I can pick them up at 7:30pm without a penalty charge. I get off of work at 7:00pm...pretty amazing. They also feed them well. I used to have to make them another dinner when I brought them home from the previous daycare, but their bellies are always full, which takes a load off my back. We pay out of pocket and the price is quite reasonable. My constructive criticism would be to put some Windows in the portable classrooms, but that honestly is the only thing I would say at this point. Oh! And it would be nice to meet the director...he seems pretty cool how he responds to some of these reviews...had me laughing my butt off. read more

My son and stepkids have been going to Robindell and loving it for several years (from their ages 3 to 12). My neighbors across the street also take their infant to Robindell and are happy with it. My friend also takes her preschooler there and likes it. Every single person at Robindell has been totally professional, focused on the well-being of the children, treating each other kindly, and letting the kids be kids. I have found the management to be extremely responsive to any concerns or questions. The food is cooked on site and the kids love it. This is not a place where they will be teaching your 3-year-old to speak French; however, this is a place where the children are safe, cared for with loving kindness, and enjoying being children. The price is great and they are available for whatever schedule you need. In addition to the regular schedule, there have been times I needed extra daycare due to having to work late, a client dinner, weekend or night-time event and family was not able to help me. It is a true blessing to know that if I cannot be with him at least my child is comfortable with people who really care about him and having fun. read more

My daughter has been attending there for 4 months now. I must say, after having other experiences at daycares, that Robindell is fantastic. I gave it a four out of five, because i wish the language barrier was just a bit better. However, I can not stress enough of the care they take to my child. After each day, they change the crib sheets. they provide new bibs, not only at each feeding, but every time it gets dirty. they sterilize and clean each of the toys and are constantly cleaning. they use gloves every time they change a diaper. I must say, as a new mother, they give boost of confidence and peace of mind to know that they are so capable of looking after my daughter. From the moment we walk into the building, not just her classroom, we are greeted, so they are very aware of who is entering and exiting the infant building. they have separation of age groups. they take the children out for daily walks, sing songs, have group interactions, and are on point with the feedings. they always change her diaper before the ride home, as well are in constant communication when supplies are low, if they notice a change in her behavior, or if she seems to need or want a particular thing. we have meetings on if they think she is ready for the next step or phase of food. We discuss on even my interactions at home. they notice if she comes to school with a diaper rash, and often have great suggestions of things to try when it seems that i am having a hard time with my daughter, rather it be feeding, diapering, clothing, bathing. iI must say, this is by far the best place ever. To add to it, they are open round the clock 7 days a week. if she is sick on Monday, we can take her Sunday and it gives us a chance to have a "date" or do other items, for which a child is not always so convenient to have around. They are a fabulous school and I am truly grateful to have found them. read more

I was nervous because the other two reviews on Yelp were not that great, but I guess you have to try some things for yourselves. I liked that when I called about taking a tour they told me I didn't have to make an appointment that I could come by anytime I liked, that tells me that I should be able to get a real look at exactly what's going on. I took my two boys on a drop in to see how it went before enrolling and they had a ball. They loved the playground areas and my 4 year old told me all about what he did that day and what they were learning. I was very impressed and he seemed to enjoy it. My infant was very content when I picked him up as well, although you never really know because he can't talk, he was clean and seemed well taken care of. They gave me a report of every he was changed and the times he was fed and what he was fed. I was very happy with how well they did and so I chose to enroll them. The kids love going, no crying when I drop them off and the teachers are fantastic. Needless to say I feel this was a great decision for me and my family. read more
