They came on short notice and the technician knew exactly how to fix the problem. I couldn't be more pleased.

I don't give a 5 star rating very often... but I'll make an exception in this case. I got home from work and as my garage door was closing I heard a loud noise. Upon investigating I discovered the spring had broke. I called Roberts Overdoor not expecting to be able to get it repaired still today, but I thought it was worth a try. My wife is in a wheelchair and it would be a hassle for her to deal with letting someone in the gate and then the garage if I was at work. The nice lady on the other end of the phone said they normally send their workers home at 3:30 (It was 3:03 when I called her) but she'd check and see if anyone was willing to work late to fix me up. She called right back and said they had a man on the way. By 4 o'clock I had a new spring installed! The guy even replaced a burned out lightbulb in the opener. Yes I did have to pay an overtime fee but I was glad to do it to get the door fixed today. And as a bonus I didn't have to try to figure out how to get the door opened to get my truck out to drive to work in the morning. I wouldn't hesitate at all recommending them if you need garage door work. read more

Wasted hours of my time telling me on the phone that they had the remotes I needed and then selling me the wrong ones. Maybe they should train their employees if they are going to answer questions on the phone and sell products. read more

Everyone ranging from the office staff to the technicians who come out on the service calls are reliably professional, helpful, and super friendly. If you need your garage door fixed, I suggest you find another company. The first time they came out, they poked around for a half hour then told me that the damage was more extensive than previously thought and that they'd have to come back another time. Fine, I understand. A week later they let me know that it will be another week before they can come fix the door. This is also fine, as it is the holidays. They come to fix it the next week. Two guys arrive, they make lots of noises for 2 hours, then I get a call from the office guy saying they need to replace the door completely and that they'll have to come back two days later. Frankly, I don't know why they were there in the first place if they weren't fixing it. The office guy calls the next morning at 8:30 asking if I'm at home. Apparently, they think I never leave the house and that they can just change what they say on a whim. I had plans, so I told them that day wouldn't work. The day comes that they are supposed to fix the door...and then I get a call saying one of their men is injured and they'll have to come Monday. Monday has yet to come, but I will be surprised if they actually come fix it then. If it was up to me, I would have called someone else long ago, but my landlord seems to have some strange affinity for inefficiency. If you have a choice, find another company. read more

We used Roberts Overdoors as a Lowes Contractor to install a garage door. We knew better than to do this because we had a friend that had Roberts Overdoors install his garage door and it was a sad comedy of errors. Everywhere from installing the wrong rollers to the vinyl weather stripping. Unfortunately, Lowes used only Roberts Overdoors as their contractor. Roberts Overdoors installed the door which for the most part worked fine, but it was EXTREMELY loud - cracking and popping. Unlike our original garage door that was over 16 years old. I called them and the owner, Chris, came to inspect. He advised that they would have installed 3 braces on the door to add strength since it was a double car garage. He advised that they could install these for us for $185.00. We thought huh, we can install for so much cheaper so we did. When Roberts Overdoors came back out to install the new braces that were not installed initially on the ceiling of the garage, his service techs noted that we had installed the braces on the door. Chris called and told me that he would have to report that we had installed these braces to Lowes and that it may void our warranty. I asked him why it would have been ok for them to install the braces but not us. He got real quiet, so quiet that I had to ask if he was still on the line and I never received an answer. Chris is not an easy man to talk with, he seems to have two levels of communication - some and none. I would not recommend Roberts Overdoors to anyone who would like to have a company with integrity. On the same note I would not recommend buying Lowes Pella garage doors. The railings are inferior - that is what is causing the cracking and popping in our doors. You can watch the railings bend and pop as the garage door goes up and down. read more

Service was great, prompt and timely. Helped "temporarily fix" the large spring on our garage door openener as it had broken where we could not open the old double wooden garage door. Door has cracks, probably with water in it. Called the morning of broken spring. Roberts came out the same day and repaired the spring until we decide on purchasing new doors. Repairman said the opener is fine, that it did not need replacement. Planning to purchase garage doors from them. read more
