I went here ONLY for birth control, which my insurance pays in full without me having to pay copay…read more When I got there, the receptionist insists that I have to pay the 50 dollar copay because they are a "specialty doc" despite the fact that I am not there for ANY of their "special services". So I had her call my insurance and finally didn't have to pay copay. During the visit the doctor asked me general routine questions about my period. When I got the bill from my insurance, they labeled the visit as a "medical visit" because they made a diagnosis of "irregular period" from my answer of the routine questions regarding my period. And because they made a diagnosis, it was now considered a medical visit and not a contraceptive-only visit and thus I have to pay 50 for the "diagnosis and services" they provided. WHAT SERVICES? They asked me a question, I gave them an answer, and THAT WAS IT. I hate this place for making me pay 50 for answering a routine question. Whether you're rich or poor, that 50 could've been well spent on something other than answering a question. In addition, the doctor only asked me what contraceptive I wanted without giving me proper info. When I asked what the differences were, his answer was a dismissive, "They're all the same."

I constantly question whether they truly care about their patients or if they are simply understaffed. I hate to be the one writing this, but women should be informed before choosing a clinic for their reproductive health. It takes weeks -- and in some cases, months -- to receive simple test results. Even then, it only happens after repeated follow-ups where you are constantly told you will receive a call back, only for that call to never come. On one occasion, I had to retake a test because no one followed up with me until months later, making the original results unreliable due to the amount of time that had passed. Throughout that entire process, I followed up constantly and was repeatedly told that my doctor would call me back. Most recently, I took a test at the beginning of the month. I followed up multiple times and nearly begged the call center to escalate my concerns. I finally spoke with another physician who gave me my lab results and informed me that medication had already been sent to my CVS days earlier. No one had communicated this to me until I pushed to speak with someone directly. Then, the very next day, I received a call from the call center saying that my actual physician wanted to schedule an appointment to review my labs. By that point, it was too late -- I had already received the results. I also do not understand why I would need to wait even longer for an in-office appointment just to hear the same information that was already provided to me over the phone. It makes no sense. I do want to note that the front desk staff and medical assistants are always very kind. My concern is with the process that happens afterward, which is extremely concerning and discouraging. I also know this is not just an issue with this office -- it seems to be a problem in many OBGYN practices. At what point do women get a break and find an office that truly cares, or at the very least, is properly staffed?

I highly advise considering all aspects of your care before choosing this doctor's office for your…read morepregnancy. There are three doctors within this office. I started with one who was absolutely horrible and very unprofessional. I switched to a different one who is my current doctor, and while I have felt comfortable with her care, the front desk's incompetence has made the experience unbearable. The front desk staff has been a consistent source of frustration due to ineffective communication, lack of direction, poorly explained company policies, failure to forward messages to my doctor, unprofessional attitudes, and visible inability to control emotions in a professional setting. I have requested to speak to the office manager, Steven Founders, on three separate occasions, and he never returned my calls. One particularly frustrating incident involved dropping off a form for my doctor. The front desk worker's tone and facial expressions were unprofessional, and she failed to give me a timeline for when the form would be filled out. I had to dig for answers about the policy, which I learned is 3-7 business days for form completion. When I needed the form by a specific date, the front desk informed me it wouldn't be done in time and would be ready at my appointment instead. There was no tracking system for the forms, and I was not informed that the front desk fills out the forms, with the doctor only signing them. My concern with this was questions being filled out incorrectly. After a frustrating phone conversation with a front desk worker who interrupted me and spoke unprofessionally, I visited the office to speak with the office manager or supervisor. I was told the office manager was on paid time off. My doctor was incorrectly informed that I wanted to speak with her, but she eventually understood the issue. The front desk agreed to have my form done, but it was filled out incorrectly, which validated my concern and potentially delaying my access to necessary resources. Being pregnant is a vulnerable state, and this office failed to provide the compassion, support, and professionalism required in the OBGYN field. Unfortunately, my experience has been marked by incompetence and lack of support, making me regret staying at this practice. A patient shouldn't have to be the middle man between a doctor and front desk staff. They should be able to effectively communicate amongst themselves. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision about their care & I will definitely be escalating this matter.

THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE SCAM. I'm writing this while…read moresitting in the waiting room of my new doctor's office -- and honestly, thank God I decided to finally switch doctors. I found this place through Zocdoc while dealing with months of lower abdominal pain, infection symptoms and rashes. I don't have insurance, so I was desperate for help and trusted the glowing reviews. Big mistake. HUGE. My first visit was with a doctor named Maria Leon. She spent most of the $200 consult complaining and admitted she didn't even know how to read the ultrasound I was paying out of pocket for. I asked to switch doctors immediately. I also left a bad review because no one, especially vulnerable women, should be paying what they charge for such shitty service. Then Dr. Shayeb -- the "main" doctor -- contacted me, clearly to get me to delete the review. He offered to "redo" my tests, found I had ureaplasma, and gave me a week of Cipro. That was it. No follow-up. I had to call multiple times to get information or even instructions and every time I called, the secretary up front had the attitude of ugh its u again. Today, months later after finishing all the treatments they sent me there to a T, still with the same symptoms, I finally went to a decent urologist, brought my medical records from there thank GOD, and watched him literally shake his head non stop reading them. He told me it was insane they only treated ureaplasma for one week -- something any competent doctor would know is ineffective. He said I was pumped with months of antibiotics that were given in the wrong dosages and schedules, making them useless and I quote, said, "who is this doctor? I feel so bad for you that you now have to pay for everything AGAIN". Due to being prescribed multiple rounds of different antibiotics, I may have developed resistance to treatment. This could make healing significantly more difficult--and I've wasted over $1,000 in the process. So here's the truth: if you don't have insurance or are looking for actual medical help, DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a SCAM. They will take your money, misdiagnose you, mistreat you, and then try to silence you. Cause they need to keep their google reviews up so other girls fall in the same trap I did. Maybe they're fine for an easy pregnancy, but for anything else? Don't risk it. Literally anywhere else is a better choice.
