His Dr was Dr Dick for years but he retired and now we see Dr. Helms. Care quality is exceptional. This is a huge complex that can be overwhelming but the staff here is great! Very competent and professional but make you feel welcome. My nephew has had a cardiac defibrillator since he was 8 and has a pacer too. With the inception of his diagnosis he has been on the appropriate meds now and we are so thankful that his defibrillator hasn't had to function recently due to v-fib. After some time to collect myself I've decided to go in detail of what happened to me during my…read morevisits with dr. Davis. My first appointment with her was kind of a "get to know me" appointment because I was transitioning from pediatric care. I was given a packet and told to circle any and all things that applied to me. I guess I had circled a lot because the first thing she said to me was "you know we're not getting to all this today right?" In a very snarky tone. I just looked at her. She then went straight to the fact that I hadn't had my whooping cough vaccine - even though I was there for IBS symptoms. I told her I would be more than happy to get it , but I'd like to do it on my own time and schedule a separate appointment for that. She got more annoyed with me and literally told me I'm the reason babies and old people are dying- NO JOKE. We talked for maybe 2 minutes about my stomach issues and she told me I could have IBS because of my family's heath history. That was it. No further diagnosis. She then had me schedule a follow up appointment but was unclear what that appointment would be for. I arrive at my second appointment where I'm told I'm due for a Pap smear and that dr Davis can do that for me during the appointment- nervous because I wasn't thrilled with how she acted at our first appointment I agreed. I got undressed and was waiting in a cold room with just a robe on when dr Davis and her assistant came in the room. Her body language was very threatening to me and not at all comforting. She would get oddly close to me while taking (almost as if she was trying to intimidate me) before asking about my IBS symptoms she dove straight into vaccines again. She asked if I wanted the HPV vaccination and I said I hadn't done any research on it and would like to do that before agreeing to anything and she got close to me and told me if I don't want an STD I should get it. And when I still refused she told me I'm probably going to get cancer. I'm serious! She told me I was going to get cancer! After that I started to cry and told her to get out. She looked surprised and really didn't think her behavior was unprofessional. OH and I forgot to mention at the end of my first appointment she told me they were doing free STD testing if I'd like to do that. I said yes and then said "although I've only ever been with one guy- my boyfriend" in a joking way and she looked at me and goes "you don't know what he does behind your back" I hope dr Davis sees this and realizes what she did was unprofessional and I hope anyone who is thinking of seeing her for the first time sees this and doesn't! I refuse to go back to this place.
