I'm absolutely frustrated as I could have spent more and consulted with a real professional, which she failed to act as.

Since they keep hiding my google review .. here's this one.. My experience with this law firm was…read moreabsolutely devastating horrible unprofessional. Let's start off by the fact that I only ever spoke to the actual Lawyer Patricia Machado one time since I hired them in March 2020 to my case was denied in September 2022 . They gave me the complete wrong information on how to file for a US citizenship for my daughter who was born abroad they gave me the complete wrong information they gave me the wrong forms to fill out they told me that I had to purchase a money order of $1171 finally went all the documentation and forms are done I received my appointment at the US Embassy and the US Embassy agent out of his mouth to my face said that this law firm scammed me out of my money, they denied my application because according to the US law to be able to transfer your citizenship to your child you need five years of proof of living income and status in the US prior to your child's birth. This law firm states that you only need 1 year of proof prior to your child's birth which is completely false information... On September 2022 the US Embassy denied my daughters application for US citizenship transfer through me because I did not have enough proof of living in the US even though the law firm said I only needed one year the US Embassy said you need five years. So finally when I called them to let them know that my application was denied because they gave me the wrong information they said that they did not provide this information to me that they said that they they did initially provide this information but that they sent out new information and that I should've followed their instructions but they never told me in the first place at the first information that they gave me was wrong they never said that I had the clear documentation communication between the law from an eye through email and through text and it clearlt shows the wrong information they gave to me. The first information they gave me all the forms and documents I needed to fill out and send with proof as well as a money order oF $1171 was asked for by the law firm and when I got to the US Embassy they said they did not need this and that I should've never been told to get this money order for the US Embassy I even have the proof when they asked for it and then later on in our conversations they said I didn't need it but that was already after my case was denied... So who do we listen to a law firm that takes money from you or the United States Embassy? Anyways I just disputed the transactions that they did on my account through my bank . my bank gave me back all my money but now the law firm is trying to get that money back even though they provided me with absolutely zero service because my application was denied And the wrong information was given. I believe this law firm just tries to hold onto their customers as long as they cancel they can take out as much money as they possibly can . I do not recommend this law firm do not speak to these people they will not help you.

Seth D. Schraier was assigned to represent me on or about 2024 in a New York Family Court child…read moresupport violation matter. Throughout the representation, communication was inconsistent. Calls I was asked to make went unanswered or were not returned, and requests for updates often went unresolved. Despite being counsel of record, I was repeatedly asked what actions I wanted taken, rather than being provided with clear legal strategy and proactive guidance. I also had a confidential address on file. Seth stated he would redact my medical records before submission to the court and did not do so, which resulted to serious purge demand being $10,000 or "bringing my toothbrush" to my next court appearance. After the Support Magistrate issued a willfulness finding, I asked counsel to object and submit properly redacted medical documentation. That was not done as requested. At a later appearance, counsel stated on the record that certified medical records had been subpoenaed, but this did not occur when initially requested. These delays and omissions contributed to adverse outcomes in my case. Clients deserve timely communication, clear legal direction, and follow through. My experience fell short of that standard.

WARNING: Incompetence, Dishonesty & Abandoned Contract - DO NOT TRUST THIS LAWYER…read more BOTTOM LINE: I hired Schraier to revise a support agreement, but he abandoned the contract despite being fully paid and lied for months about finalizing it. His incompetence has caused lasting harm to my child and resulted in major financial losses. ________________________________________ UPDATE: Years later, his lies and negligence still haunt my case. He repeatedly promised the agreement was coming "next week" or "Monday," but it never arrived. Schraier is a pathological liar who failed me and my child. Instead of taking responsibility, his response to my review was: "Paul, considering that it's been 3.5 years since your case and my legal representation ended, it's clear that something recent has caused you a lot of emotion and grief, and I hope that you get whatever help you can to get you through this." This fake concern is nothing more than an attempt to deflect from the fact that he walked out on a paid contract and failed his client. Instead of addressing his professional failures, he tried to dismiss my experience as personal grief. His response is insulting and a blatant attempt to shift blame. I urge anyone considering him to investigate thoroughly before hiring. ________________________________________ DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE HIRING ANY LAWYER: Call at least three past clients for references. Compare him with other attorneys before making a costly mistake. Read unbiased reviews from multiple sources, not just the ones he promotes. ________________________________________ SUMMARY OF HIS FAILURES: 1. ABANDONED A PAID CONTRACT & LIED ABOUT IT * Ignored 20+ emails about the support agreement. * Lied repeatedly, saying it was coming "next week." * Eventually stopped responding entirely, forcing me to pay for costly legal fixes. * The opposing lawyer had already agreed to lower support, yet Schraier failed to act. Result: Financial devastation and emotional strain. 2. POOR NEGOTIATOR - AVOIDED WORK * He was outmaneuvered by opposing counsel and failed to secure a fair agreement. * He negotiated directly from the opposing lawyer's draft and only made changes when I explicitly told him to. * His delays and weak strategy made my situation worse. Result: A bad agreement that harmed me and my child. 3. CONFLICT OF INTEREST WITH OPPOSING LAWYER * I asked if he had a conflict of interest with opposing counsel since he had upcoming cases with her. * He denied any conflict, but his weak negotiation and failure to advocate for me raised major concerns. Result: My case may not have been his priority. 4. DISHONEST BILLING PRACTICES * He bid very low to win the case but then failed to do the necessary work. 5. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRESPONSIVE & UNPREPARED FOR COURT * Ignored key legal deadlines and responded slowly to urgent issues. * Waited until the last minute to prepare me for court. * Was frequently late to hearings, leaving me unprepared. * Opposing counsel had to remind him to complete his own promised work! Result: Weak legal representation, stress, and costly delays. 6. PRESSURED ME TO ACCEPT A BAD AGREEMENT * He knew it was a terrible deal but pressured me to sign anyway. * Ignored critical evidence that would have helped my case. * The opposing attorney rushed in a last-minute draft before court, and Schraier didn't object. Result: A custody and support agreement that left me and my child worse off. 7. NEGLIGENCE & FAILURE TO ACT ON EVIDENCE * My ex violated most of the prior agreement, and Schraier failed to act. * He did not address compliance issues or seek court protections for my child. * He dismissed parental alienation as a past issue that couldn't be helped. Result: My child was harmed, and the violations continued unchecked. ________________________________________ FINAL WARNING: AVOID THIS LAWYER AT ALL COSTS Finally - a note on these rating sites. They are not honest. There are a few things that happen: 1 - There are companies that go to lawyers and promise to get good reviews on these sites. Schraier especially uses this method of getting business. 2 - Basically - an easy case - you think he did well and they get a good review out of the client. Difficult case or one that Schraier abandons like mine - and you get screwed but it is overwhelmed by the "good" reviews. 3 - Avvo in particular is a referral site for lawyers - DO YOU THINK THEY ARE HONEST? You know the answer. Cheaters like Schraier depend on that. You lose - your money, your child, and regret it for a lifetime.

I spoke to her about my case so she said she could work in my case but before she asked me for $3000, she didn't accept payments, she wanted the $3000 in one shot which I did, what a stupid I'm!! Well she submitted the files and a few months later she called me saying that immigration sent her a letter saying that they won't open the case at this time which it was true. My disappointment is that after that she wasn't willing to go for another try counting that the latter was just saying that they weren't going to work in that case at the moment. Last time I called her she said that, that was it. She wasn't going to try again So I lost my $3000 just for trusting a Spanish lawyer that don't even speak English very well.. Stealing money to her own culture, her own people. Please people!! If you are thinking to visit this lawyer, please rethink twice, there are other very good lawyers that accept payment so that way if you get a negative respond, you don't lose your money..

God please forgive me for my sins. Alhamdulillah. This here is a difficult review to type because I…read moream not in the business of putting other black men down, especially here in America. With that being said (typed), the lawyer Michael H Aspinall, has forced my hand. My name is Eric Jones Amponsah. Date of birth: December 23, 1988, son of Eddie Amponsah & Shirley Osei-Owusu. On June 14, 2020, I was arrested. Michael Aspinall was assigned to my case June 11, 2021. Within the first two interactions with Aspinall, I was dubious about him as an attorney for my case. I believe he is violating my sixth amendment to the U.S. constitution: the accused shall enjoy the assistance of counsel for his defense. Also, I believe he does not have my best interest in the outcome of the current case that he is representing. Recently, I called him for documents that have been submitted to the courts, in favor to me. The reasoning for the documents were to assist me in obtaining a job to help better my life and pay for things that I need. I did not receive the requested documents nor did he give me any guidance on how to obtain said documents. Now the chance that I will be able to obtain the job is in limbo because the documents were not submitted within the given time that was requested of the employer. There have been numerous times that I have called his phone to get information about the case and I seemed to be rushed off of the phone and overall not satisfied with his services. There is a family member of mine whom is his senior, that I have had call the attorney to their displeasure on their first conversation. I do not believe he has any confidence in himself nor the case that he is representing me on. To his favor, I have spoken to an attorney by the name Mr. Patrick Watts of 878 Melrose Ave, Bronx, NY 10451, whom I have had received great representation from in the past. He has said that Aspinall is a good attorney to my disagreement. Nonetheless, overall, I am not satisfied as a client of his. Hopefully, this does not continue for other clients. Peace.
