You'll get random calls from different agents telling you to "submit your timesheet", when you haven't been to work in 2 weeks. I've reached out numerous times. Only to get no answers. They hide & beat around the bush. Because I took ACTION into my own hands, and emailed them back & finally had enough of the run around. So now I thought I'd share. Keep your sanity. I am giving two stars because the RH recruiters in the Ventura county area were friendly, took the time to get to know me, and were very professional. I also appreciated that they wanted to make sure that I felt like the job opportunities they were sending my way were jobs that I felt like were a good fit for me. However, the recruiter I spoke with who works out in the Woodland Hills office was not very personable or friendly whatsoever. She was very transactional and all about the money. This recruiter did reach out to me about a job opportunity in the area but I didn't like her approach. Yes, I'm available for work but shouldn't I meet the potential employer first to get a feel of what they're looking for and what the culture is like at that firm? I think it's foolish to blindly sign up for the first opportunity that's handed to you--especially if you haven't met the folks that you will be working with. I mentioned that I had interviews lined up and wanted to assess my options. I also asked if an interview could be set up between me and that employer. She got really snarky and told me that, " I guess you're not in a rush to get a job then" before hanging up on me. Very rude and unprofessional. I didn't like my experience so far. I think people who are in this line of work need to be mindful and sensitive of the fact that some of us are looking to get into jobs that we see ourselves successfully fitting into--even if it's temporary. Some of us are going to job placement agencies because we left or got laid off from a toxic workplace. We don't want to get tossed into another horrible job situation. Unethical practices. The job postings are not always accurate and resumes are gathered when employment is not available. I suggest you ask questions before sending your resume. 1. Is this position ready for placement? 2. Is your background applicable? If not you will end up with a resume stored in their system, (a resume collection service). They do not allow you to make an informed decision, but will later tell you how great you are and that they will call you when a position is available. It is important to approach with caution. I am going to spare the name of the person who made this practice questionable. I do hope there was a lesson learned from a formal complaint made. read more

I have contacted 3 different people from this organization at least 2-3 times a piece. Brandon Steele is the only one i was passed to over the phone and what happens? NOTHING. Im over here struggling to understand what the point of a recruiter is, if youre not going to even share the job listings with your clients... how is it i keep seeing your name pop up on new listings .. The first temp job I was went to had me, 2 other ladies, and an unrelated individual who was interviewing. They basically interviewed us, had us waiting there for a few hours, and then told us they didn't want us to work there. After, they found me a temp job at a really strange place. The office was small, filthy, wanted me to push sales, and there was definitely no growth (they had 2 different names/companies?). However, they were extremely relaxed. The whole company seemed really shady and I felt uncomfortable working here. It's not really their fault because they haven't done business with the company before, but I definitely do not recommend the company I was a temp for. I was working there for two weeks, had jury duty, then never heard back from the boss when I asked. It was funny when months later I got a phone call from a random number, picked it up, and heard night club music. I later realized it was the 'boss' that never answered me back. No fault on Robert Half's behalf, but wanted to give an update. read more

I would not recommend Accountemps to anyone. They just waste your time. I went to this office and also the office on Wilshire in Santa Monica, and have received calls from one or two of the other offices around L.A. They don't get many job orders and although they do have some opportunities that come up from time to time, they usually don't pan out. They told me about a few that sounded really good but in the end, they all went dark. There's one guy from the Woodland Hills office who has called me with at least 10 opportunities, a couple of which I did get interviews on, but none of them ever materialized. I've also heard that this agency makes a lot of money per hour on its employees, but employee pay is low compared to other companies. Apply at Ledgent and Accounting Principals for accounting jobs. They're way better and get way more quality work orders and permanent opportunities. Pay is generally good too - the companies will pay more for agency employees for temp jobs lasting 3, 4, 6, 9 months (often $25+ per hour) than they will for "temporary hires" ($17-20 per hour or even less). Update 2/26/17 - The trend at this place is that they call or email you to ask if you're interested in a particular opportunity and then they just totally forget about you again until something else comes along. I think they submit a ton of resumes and their clients decide which ones they want to interview. The farthest I've ever gotten with Accountemps was a single interview. With other agencies, I've gotten jobs that lasted as long as 9 months. I just don't think they get many good job orders thru Accountemps - at least not ones that pay really well. I've heard from various employers that Accountemps is really profit-hungry and not easy to work with, and that some of them terminated their business relationship with Accountemps and started using other agencies to find employees. read more

I decided to work with a temp agency after unsuccessfully finding anything in the field I was looking for after finishing college. MeMe is currently my recruiter and I highly recommend her! She is honest, friendly, and definitely cares about matching you to the right position. Even though I have limited professional experience, MeMe really tries her best to find me the best positions possible. I definitely would not have gotten this far without her help. They also pass your resume to their other nearby locations so it is very helpful to have multiple options in terms of location. Overall I highly recommend OfficeTeam if you are looking for a temp agency. It's a great way to start your career after college, or even in general. Other agencies don't seem to put in enough care or effort as they do. The other agencies I have contacted don't even get back to you on time or at all, whereas MeMe always promptly replies. First off a temp agency does NOT charge you, so that's awesome and they do most of the work, but you need to put in some work, to tell them how awesome you are. I had a very good experience with Robert Half 12 years ago; they got me placed in quite a few short term assignments that paid commensurate with my professional experience. My recent experience with them was nothing short of horrid. Lots of empty, optimistic assurances to start, then after about a week that generated only 2 or 3 undesirable positions with firms looking to pay what I earned over 25 years ago, almost no communication. But they sure spam you with emails! Always the same one, with the same 4 positions that have been listed for months. Clearly, Robert Half has become a bottom feeders for firms that just want bodies to staff assignments with no benefits or long term potential. Parasites sucking off the gig economy. A complete waste of time and energy. Just pound the pavement and save your self respect. read more

Unfortunately I had no work experience (take advantage of internships!). I was even turned away from another temp agency due to lack of experience (they told me I needed six months accounting experience before they would consider me for job placement. My goal was to find an entry level accounting, finance, or business position. So I was applying anywhere and everywhere. I finally applied at Accountemps. MeMe and Guillermo are a really nice enthusiastic team. They are really passionate about what they do in finding you employment. The office is very professional. The pay comes directly deposited weekly sometimes on Monday when I just submitted my time card online (yep you do it online, no paper stubs) on Friday! Fast! The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because it took 4 months to find my employment. In their defense, they don't want to just stick you with any job position that comes their way. Unlike Express Professionals, they put on a "family cap" and say "look I don't want you to be unhappy here." And they had me think about the position since it was lower pay rate then I wanted. But listen, if you have the experience, then you have the experience to get you that higher rate. I would recommend their team. They're really good at calling you back or emailing back quickly. I was pleased that he was very personable and a person I could be completely comfortable and honest with. The following week I was contacted by MeMe who had placed me with a temporary assignment to get me started that way I could have at least some income coming in. She was very sweet and I could tell she had my best interest in mind. I appreciated the fact that even though I am searching for full time stable work with a certain pay grade, she still found me something to hold me over even though it didn't match my requirements / desires. I am very grateful for that. I gave 4 stars only because I am anxious/curious to see how things will go once this temporary assignment is over. Perhaps it was because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do, but I got very little assistance from Office Team in my job search. Everything seemed great when I first joined, and I felt hopeful. I informed them that I was leaving a job, and I wanted to have something lined up as soon as possible. The first red flag was the fact that I had to keep calling and e-mailing THEM, and they didn't seem interested in finding a successful placement for me. I finally got a call about a great opportunity (after about two weeks), and I confirmed all of the details. A few days later, when I showed up at the interview site (which was a half hour drive from my place), the woman in charge had to be the one to tell me that it had been called off! This was news to me, and it was incredibly embarrassing as well as frustrating. STILL, I remained positive and got back in touch with Office Team. About a week later, I got another offer and accepted it. I kept trying to get a confirmation e-mail with the details, but the recruiter seemed to be avoiding me. Turned out that the client had gone with another candidate within those few hours. I decided to try my chances with another temp agency, with which I interviewed earlier today. They ALREADY helped me land an interview, and now I have a job that starts next week. If you do join Office Team, I wish you much better luck. read more

I write this review in hopes of sparing people a terrible experience. If you are looking for a stable job, please turn the other way and avoid Office Team like the plauge.They removed my original review because I used some profanity to describe Roxy, I guess the truth must have hurt her fragile little feelings too much so I'll sugar coat it this time. I'll just use 1 word to describe her this time and it's a word I rarely use: EVIL. Roxy unnecessarily pulled me from an assignment and I believe it was retaliation for my original yelp review which is just plain childish, vindictive, cold, calculating, unprofessional and just shows she can't handle the truth. People (for lack of a better word) like Roxy are the reason why many hard working people are jobless, she does the complete opposite of what her job requires her to do which is help people get a job. Roxy simply gets in the way of hard working people and potential employers. I'm sure the client they had me on assignment with will no longer do business with Office Team after Roxy pulled me so suddenly on a Tuesday from the assignment like that. The client they had me working for was the North LA County Regional Center and everything was going great before Roxy pulled her little stunt. This incident gives Office Team a very bad look and I would be shocked if Roxy doesn't lose her job over it seeing as how they lost a good client and they definitely lost me as an associate. I refuse to affiliate with a company which does the complete opposite of what they promise which is why they have so many bad reviews and I'm sure they've had plenty of the 1 star reviews taken down otherwise they're overall rating would be much worse. This whole ordeal cost me another job opportunity which I turned down because I thought this would be better and I'm sure Roxy feels absolutely no remorse for her actions because she strikes me as someone who is incapable of empathy and I'm sure she's done this sort of thing before because it was very well planned out. It seems like Roxy has plenty of experience making sure people are jobless and I'm sure she's proud of ruining things not only for me but for everyone involved. The last time I contacted Office Team, Roxy picked up the phone and told me I had the wrong #, put me on hold and then hung up on me. Roxy is probably patting herself on the back because I'm sure no one is doing it for her. Congratulations Roxy, you fail as a staffing agent and more importantly as a human being. read more

I have worked and temped with other offices, but this office seems to have favorites with candidates, they say you will call , then you see a posting, and you think " Thanks for calling!" This is a TERRIBLE agency! They have never placed but have dangled opportunities in front of my face and when I say that I would like to accept the opportunity, I never hear about it again and I only hear from them if either I call or they are calling me on the next assignment that they don't plan to try to place me for. I don't get it, your jobs' are literally to get work for people! And they treat you like you and your survival are not important. They told me I'd be perfect for a job they were working on basically guaranteed I'd get it and I waited all for it to all fall through and I passed up another opportunity with the Pasadena office because I had already accepted the assignment and it never happened. I was advised to contact the other local offices by the Burbank office because they were also not finding me work and I feel it was in retaliation to a survey they sent for a prior job I did that they failed to tell me was contract and I ended up out of work with barely a warning. I think I'm just going to go to another agency all together. I don't deserve to be handled like I don't matter to them. read more
