When I was notified that my return was completed I was told I could pick it up. However, I wasn't told about their unique hours. Apparently, they don't have a 9 to 5, Monday to Friday schedule. You have to call ahead. The Manahawkin office looks like a house converted to an office. There is no sign indicating their hours AND no sign that you have to enter at the back of the building. I ended up wasting 2 trips without getting my return. As a first time customer, this is a poor way to get new business. They need to know that first impressions are key.

My father has done my taxes for the majority of my adult life but when certain things come up in life that make taxes less straightforward and simple, you need a pro. Enter Irwin & Irwin. I wouldn't let H&R Block do my dog's** taxes, much less mine. I wanted a real professional and got one. He was recommended to me by, of all people, my father. He wouldn't trust me in anything less than capable hands. Bob is awesome, not just with the numbers, but it's always a pleasure to see him. It's like visiting a friend who happens to be a paid professional. The office staff are friendly and helpful. My extended family all use Irwin & Irwin and I recommend them to friends all the time. Maybe I shouldn't be writing a Yelp review. This is tantamount to recommending to strangers, and with my luck, I'll recommend Irwin & Irwin so hard that they'll have difficulty squeezing my appointments on their busy schedule! Seriously, if you're going to pay someone to do your taxes, and trust with sensitive info like your social security number, do you want the person who, inbetween clients, jumps up and down on the side of the highway, from January to March, dressed in a statue of liberty costume, complete with a foam torch, and waves the torch toward empty spaces in the Liberty parking lot, or do you want a certified pro? Note to self: ask Bob if he dresses up for Halloween **Dog's taxes was a figure of speech. She really doesn't file. No animals were used as a deduction in the making of this review.
