Not many people in my life understand the cyclical traumas I have had related to my dental journey…read more When I was a kid, I had the perfect smile, but that changed faster than I could have anticipated. Someone tripped me and it chipped my front left tooth. Fast forward to 2018, my ex fiancé hit me in the face with his motorcycle helmet. I wasn't a candidate for oral surgery, and my face shape started changing. My jaw started slipping and I didn't know where to properly rest my teeth in my own mouth. My jaw was constantly inflamed. My smile which was once my greatest asset had became a burden to look at myself in a mirror. I struggled to chew, talk, or yawn. I felt angry all the time. I did pt for 2 years and became frustrated. I did emdr for the trauma. I got an idea from a person I knew to get braces in TJ in 2023 June. I had high hopes it would finally help with my tmj issue because they said so. Treatment meant for one year turned into two and eventually, the trust was gone. They claim to have lost my medical records and panoramic xrays I shared with them. All hope felt lost until I spoke to my dentist about everything. I was then referred to elite orthodontics, from my dentist who had formerly worked with Dr. Ehsani. My first appointment here was for a consult back on February 24. It was fast, and pretty straightforward. I was offered financing options as well. They took panoramic X-rays, dental mapping with mouth wands, and close up inspections. I was torn about how much the price was because I wish I had just gone to Dr. Ehsani from the very start, but we live and we learn, right? Before coming to this office, I developed some tooth sensitivity which my dentist identified as pressure from improper positioning causing enamel wear. Those dentists in TJ recommended something that didn't help, and I used it consistently for a few months. The sensitivity came back (because previous treatment gave a temp fix), which lead me to seek professional advice from both Dr. Ehsani and Dr. Freda. I trust them both, and appreciate that I can always seek a second opinion from either of them. They make a great team, and I feel welcome here. Also if anyone got this far, you should know the banter between the hygienists is worth witnessing. I always come before lunch hour due to my home location near Carlsbad- yes, they're worth the drive. So, if you want to, go ahead and fix your smile. (I will update my review with photos when treatment has concluded).

Elite kept me well informed and even recommended me an amazing oral surgeon when I was having trouble finding one that worked with my insurance. The office is clean and has a section for all your braces needs like wax, floss, toothbrushes, etc. there are also three sinks where you can brush and floss before getting your braces tightened. Every visit felt efficient and fast. The techs who tightened my braces were always professional and gentle. Special shoutout to Ashley who always was so friendly anytime she tightened my braces. I saw both Dr Ehsani and Dr Sabet and they were both phenomenal throughout my treatment before and after surgery. The front desk was always responsive and answered all my silly questions via text message. I can't stress how friendly everyone is in the office!! I highly recommend Elite Orthodontics to anyone who mentions getting braces and I would choose them again and again if I ever had to get braces in the future (I hope I don't have to but you get it)

There is no kinder or more capable Dentist in San Diego than Dr. Nick from True Design Dentistry…read more On Saturday afternoon, September 12, I hosted a three year-old birthday party that ended in shock and dismay. I tripped on a misplaced 3 foot metal fan and flew 5 feet through the air, damaging my upper lip and cutting my knee. My 4 front teeth all were damaged and one, a beautiful crown that Dr Nick had made for me before, fell out. I called Dr. Nick's emergency number and he did a FaceTime assessment that led to his driving a half hour from his home to reset my tooth. He created a brace to shore up the others and put five stitches in my lip all without pain. I saw him two weeks later for a happy checkup. In one month he will fix the chips that remain on my teeth and most likely remove the bridge that he had created for their stability. Dr. Nick at True Design Dentistry is simply absolutely wonderful. I have been to many dentists in my life and he is by far the very best. He redid several crowns for me and the work that he did was so far superior than the other dental work I had done it was just hard to believe. He gave me my smile back, and I have no doubt he will again!

We were late by five to seven minutes at most. At 3:45 we were literally exiting the freeway and I called the office to explain that we were almost there. I was told that the doctor had to be someplace else and was preparing to leave the office. I was literally in the parking lot and was maybe six or seven minutes late in total but it made no difference. If we were say 15 minutes late, or even 10, I could be more understanding, but to cancel an appointment when the patient is less than ten minutes late and in the parking lot? If the doctor had an emergency situation obviously that's a different story, but the receptionist simply told me she had somewhere else she needed to be and that was the end of it. I was told that I could reschedule and declined. We do not live in the area where the office is located and drove from East County to be there. Frankly I cannot imagine any patient or customer losing an appointment because of a five to seven minute delay due to traffic. I decided that if those few minutes are so critical to the appointment this is not the office for my family. How many times have we all waited when a doctor is running late or is still with another patient? This is simply not the right way to do things. I immediately scheduled an appointment with another orthodontist and I asked what their policy is when a patient is late. They told me they give a 15 minute grace period and if possible they still try to keep the appointment if the patient is willing to wait. Dr. Le is a very nice person and I'm sure the work would have been done properly, but unfortunately it's time for other options.
