FRAUD, BREACH OF CONTRACT, AND PRICE GOUGING ALERT…read more If you are considering filing for bankruptcy, I strongly advise you "NOT" to hire Attorney Matthew Wegner Law Firm or use Trustee Tim Truman from Fort Worth, Texas. In June 2025, my husband Christopher Jones retained Attorney Matthew Wegner to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy case on his behalf. The written contract he signed stated that he agreed to pay an initial attorney fee of $850, plus $4,290 in additional fees. In total, my husband paid $3,500 into Trustee Tim Tyler's account, along with the $850 initial attorney fee bringing the total paid to $4,350. Hide quoted text After the contract was signed, Attorney Wegner increased my husband's monthly payment by an additional $1,000, raising the total obligation to $5,290. This increase was never clearly justified and was not reflected in the original agreement. Because the monthly payment became financially overwhelming, my husband sought assistance from another bankruptcy firm. Under the new firm, he now pays $2,443 per month compared to the $5,290 he was required to pay under Attorney Wegner firm a difference of $2,847 per month. More concerning, despite the significant payments made, none of my husband's creditors received funds from Trustee Tim Truman. We were repeatedly told that creditors had been paid; however, there is no record of such payments. Multiple creditors have confirmed that they did not receive any funds. As a result of these failures, my husband's vehicle was repossessed and our property went into foreclosure. We believe this occurred due to the mishandling and misappropriation of funds entrusted to Attorney Matthew Wegner and Trustee Tim Truman We have made numerous attempts to contact both offices by phone to request an explanation and a return of the funds paid, but we have received no response. We are sharing this experience to warn others. Please conduct thorough research before hiring legal representation for bankruptcy proceedings. Ask for detailed written agreements, request regular payment statements, and independently verify that creditors are receiving payments. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you attorney, Matt Wegner and your team. I met with Matt a few years…read moreago and he really made me feel confident about the bankruptcy process. However, emotionally I was not ready to go through with it. When I had no choice, I went right back to him and I'm so glad that I did. After interviewing multiple attorneys, I knew that Matt was going to be my best bet. There was no part of our conversation that made me feel as if I was being exploited for my vulnerability, nor did I feel that he was not going to look out for my best interest. His staff was kind, matter of fact, and communicative. That meant a lot to me. I appreciate the bankruptcy results and the extra help with a very difficult, and crooked solar situation. I'm grateful for my new start, and grateful for this team of wonderful attorneys and admins!. Highly recommended!

Wright. My role was as an accountant and being a supportive boyfriend. My expectation walking in the door was going to be a hard sell to use their services. I was wrong, Prior to the meeting, we had completed their questionnaire. In addition, we brought supporting documentation, credit reports, death certificates, anything that may be needed to support the conversation. In addition, and this was critical to the conversation, was the section of the questionnaire asking what we wanted to achieve out of the meeting. Mr. Wright was very pleasant. We had a pre-prepared list of questions. This was the point I was expecting slippery answers and a hard-sell. I was very surprised when I asked specific questions, I received very specific answers. In addition, Mr. Wright offered additional guidance. As the purpose of bankruptcy inquiry was due to the deceased husbands debts rather than the girlfriends debt, I expressed doubts as to whether filing for a bankruptcy was the proper course of action. Mr. Wright's response was he had doubts whether a bankruptcy filing was the best initial action. Rather, he recommended a specific course of action 1) Pay the HOA fees immediately 2) Ensure the house payments are current 3) Contact a probate attorney to sort through the estate issues 4) Review the results and if needed, then come back to him to file for bankruptcy if we felt bankruptcy action was needed. As I said, I expected no answers, no course of action and just a hard sell. I was pleased, I was shocked, I was floored. I mentioned that the advice we received was more than just an initial consultation and offered to pay for his services, twice. He declined the offer for payment, twice. His only request of us was to use him if we needed a bankruptcy attorney and to refer anyone to him that may need his services. I did him one better. I wrote this review. I would highly recommend Mr. Wright for your legal needs, no bullshit, just good, solid, actionable advice. That being said, if you contact Mr. Wright, go there with your house in order, your questions prepared and like with any professional, respect his time. I really felt he was on our side.

PARTIAL, refund of the $450 they essentially stole from me if I take the review down. Please, PLEASE, if you're reading this and desperate enough to file a bankruptcy to save your property, please seek alternative representation. These guys are straight up EVIL to their core. ORIGINAL REVIEW TEXT FOLLOWS- I would highly suggest anyone in a desperate situation to avoid this place like a plague. Their consultant told me that their retainer was 1500. A bit steep, but fine. Still, I told the consultant I didn't have that kind of saved up cash since, you know, I was considering bankruptcy and all. Then he said they'd put me on a payment plan and so long as I stayed on that plan, they would help me save my house. Obviously it's stressful to be in this situation and I was happy to hear them be willing to help. So I go on the payment plan. Then the date of foreclosure comes up and they call to say there will be no help unless I can pay off the retainer balance. Again, was told I could keep on the payment plan and be helped. I live on a small disability check, and in this economy the ability to save when I've just lost a parent and had to use all available extra funds to put them to rest means I am struggling. Like, you know, bankrupt people do. Like I told the consultant during our phone interview (they couldn't even fit me in a visit to an office). So they pull the rug and cancel me as a client. Fine, but will I get the $450 they charged me already on the payment plan back? The lady who cancelled me said I would. Then they call and hem and haw about policy and retainer agreement. These people are EVIL. Taking advantage of the most vulnerable folks who just want to not lose a HOUSE THAT I OWN with no mortgage. Just a little bit behind on taxes. Not 10 years behind, a year and a half behind. Because I was caring for my sick dying mother and dad didn't leave enough for her to die peacefully with. So I stepped up and was the dutiful son. And yeah, money got tight and I got behind, now I need a lifeline. And instead of a lifeline I got thrown an anchor. And on that anchor was stamped "ALLMAND LAW".
