Little did we know that it would be so delicious and such a delightful experience. The two gentlemen working were fast and friendly getting our orders in, and were quick with useful recommendations. They even sent out free appetizers for us to sample while we waited. The food was well portioned and delicious. Conversation with staff was great, and friendly throughout. A couple of us did manage to save room for ice cream! To top it all off, the cook noticed the windshield on our truck was very covered in bug guts from summer-prairie driving, so he gifted us a half-full can of industrial, aerosol window cleaner so we could more safely drive one down the road! All in all, it was a great experience and we will make a point of timing it to eat meals there in the future.

Towels and sheets had been laundered, so I guess there's that, but filthy toilet, cobwebs hanging from everything, grimy carpet, blech. I have stayed in some old and run-down hotels, but this place is literally falling apart with no attempt to slow the deterioration. Peeling paint, holes in doors and walls, broken appliances, rust, the list goes on. And the cherry on top of this disgusting sundae, the guy who checked us out at 10:00 am was super drunk. Perhaps this explains the rest. I would not recommend this rat hole to anyone, under any circumstance. Pay a bit more for the other hotel in town, or just keep driving.

Most of same group today. Beautiful setting in the lodge. Food is catered in most of our times here and always great menu options. Highly recommend this. Hotel rooms we didn't look-see today but have previously and are beautiful and would be great to stay here. Really nice everything.

I remember this hotel from when I a young kid. It has gone downhill. This used to be the best place…read moreto stay in Broken Bow. We reserved a room to visit family. Around 9pm at night a random person tried to enter our room with a key. (There is no safeguard to stop anyone entering) I sent my husband to the door to confront the person. They ran. I went downstairs to ask what was going on. The person at the front desk said "oops, oh look here is the the 2nd key to your room". They gave out a key to two different people for the same room. No apologies, not to me or the other person. We got no sleep wondering if anyone else had a key to our room or if anyone was going to show up and just open the door with a key given to them by the front desk. I will never stay here again. This is the only time I've ever had someone open my hotel door with a key and say it's their room. The biggest disappointment was that we didn't even get an apology from the front desk. No guarantee that no one else would try to enter our room. Nothing. My husband and I took shifts to guard the door because we didn't know who else may have given a key to our hotel room.
