I visited the Mitchell Hall at the Columbus State Community College for Ohio X AI Summit. The…read moreMitchell Hall is the home of School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts that was just built in 2019. Hoping that the event would be held at polished and corporate location, I was pleasantly surprised that this location lived up to my expectations. Ambiance: The Mitchell Hall is the state-of-the-art facility with modern architecture and plenty of natural light. The first floor features multiple kitchens, culinary labs, bakery, culinary theater, Degrees restaurant, Blend Café, and a boardroom. I walked around during the conference break curious about the interior. It's modern, contemporary, and clean. Most of my time was spent at the event center on the second floor. The campus is right in the heart of Columbus. The event center provides a panoramic view of downtown Columbus, and there's a nice balcony. The space conveniently welcomed us (hundreds of attendees), had a stage, and many networking nooks. I found it very convenient to have seating separate from the conference room to unwind. Parking: Multiple parking lots are available onsite. Each parking lot is clearly marked for intended users - students, faculty, or specific groups. QR codes can be conveniently scanned for parking, number of hours selected. It has to be the most modern parking system I have seen on college campuses. It was quite complex to find the parking lots closest to the events due to small font numeration system. I'd recommend this facility to anyone looking to host events. It provides enough seclusion from the downtown chaos and modern ambiance. It's a presentable location with versatile space options.

Great new office space for Pearson Education - Columbus. This is not the same as the Pearson VUE…read moretesting center but a relocation of the Pearson office that was on Hutchinson Avenue. This office is located in the WeWork Office Space & Coworking. Pearson has three separate areas with additional conference room in a section with nice lighting and open workspace. Suites are key card secured to Pearson employees but you can checkin with WeWork reception on the 3rd Floor for assistance. Three floors (out of 10) are dedicated to WeWork with the Pearson office on the 4the Floor. The only concern is parking as the Short North Arts District is a vibrant busy area of Columbus. There is street meter parking available as well as valet if there all day. I found parking easy today and really like this office space and set up.

We attended the Hilliard Bradley High School graduation ceremony last night. The ceremony was truly…read morea spectacle, as the school has been hijacked by extreme ideology. Total lack of respect and decorum demonstrated by many parents during presentation of diplomas. Also, one of the graduates displayed a Palestinian flag while accepting his diploma...indicative of the cultural norms and doctrine espoused by this progressive school. We felt anything BUT included in this farce of a ceremony. IMHO there is an abject failure of leadership at this school...atmosphere was miserable to say the least.

The Star Room staff was by…read morefar our least favorite combination of teachers, and the lead teacher, Ms. Hillery is more worried about the classroom presentation than the emotional well-being of the students. Ms. Hillery is rude to students and parents alike - even staff members in other classrooms are aware and alluded to this fact before we had the "joy" of experiencing it ourselves. My recommendation would be to pull your child before having them attend here for preK, as your overall experience would likely be okay (though teacher turnover in all rooms has not been great over the last year and a half).

They have taught me so much about how to deal positively with conflict, emotional and behavior issues in my own kids. The kids get lots of outside time, do field trips, and have classrooms where they are encouraged to develop lots of different skills in an age-appropriate way. Parents are encouraged to be involved in one of many events throughout the year including a carnival, halloween party, and things co-sponsored with the church in which the center is housed. We even attended a parenting skills class taught by some of the senior instructors at the center and learned a lot. Kids can sign up for optional activities like yoga, music or dance classes. They also offer week-long summer camps. Unfortunately Clintonville has far too few childcare facilities, so there is a waitlist for the full-time program. Sign up before you need it, or enroll in the part-time program while you wait. Openings in the summer and after school programs go first to current students/siblings/former students, so going there for preschool is a good way to get your foot in the door if you are looking for options once they are in elementary school.

Versatile teaching possibilities. Monthly contract, not quarterly or yearly. Reasonable rates. Cons: requires students to do work independently through the week, which is added homework time. Not necessarily a bad thing, but parents should be advised they will need to be involved in their kids learning. visited this center today for my 7 year old daughter in 2nd grade. She is struggling with reading comprehension, and the supervisor was very thorough in both testing my daughter, assessing hers and explaining everything to me. He knew all of the students and parents by name. A very personable atmosphere. There is a max of four students per table, which means it's a low teacher/student ratio. There are half hour slots and also full hour slots. Can attend once or twice a week depending on the kids needs. I look forward to seeing how my daughter improves
