I went and was told 4-5 weeks and it took longer which wouldn't have been that big of a deal. They only give you a day or two on angle docking or 90° backing training. And for us we were only given one practice and then if you got it in between the cones the second time by luck they passed you and sent you to the next step. I had no idea I wouldn't be doing that more in class. They push you along as fast as they can, but because they have at least 6-8 students per trainer you sit for sometimes hours before you can practice anything. It really doesn't prepare you for a company outside of Werner. Werner owns Roadmaster. Their goal is for you to work for them. So if you plan to go to Werner, this is the school for you. If not, don't do it. Also it's not $7500, the loan ends up being $11,419 after 60 payments. Go get a free voucher from Unemployment office. I wish I had. So to sum it up, not enough trainers for a one on one experience, not enough training in backing in between trailers to a dock door at businesses. And that is something you will do at most any company. read more

I just graduated from Roadmaster I love the instructors, as well as the office people. The knowledge they kick to you when driving those big 18 wheelers, man it's amazing. I learned so much about them. These people are the best!!! I would recommend this school to anyone. So if anyone decides to attend this school I would advise you to listen only to the instructors when it comes to doing any of the skills. And pay extra attention to the food for thought on how to fix any of the maneuvers when it comes to test day also. Don't be afraid to ask questions as well if you don't know something. Again I love the instructors they are all good but, some over there are AWESOME! So at this time I would like to give a very big thanks to Ms Cathy, Mr Dale, Keith and Craig. This would be a great driver training school if the instructors would watch the students instead of playing on their cell phones. One student in my class was struggling on a skill for about 10 minutes and the instructor started yelling at him, allegedly because the student wasn't paying attention. In reality it was the instructor that wasn't paying attention because he was continuously texting. The student almost ran over a curb, and in turn would've gone down a small embankment. High pressure tactics to get you enrolled was a turn off as well. The only good thing is after I left the class before it was over they refunded me part of my money. I would not recommend this driving school to anybody. It was a joke from the first day. You get no drive time you said around most of the day waiting on a turn because they are a small school but packet full of drivers. The teachers do not teach they said and talk to you on a walkie talkie and act like you should know what you're doing when you're clearly a student trying to learn. I passed on my first try no thanks to any of the teachers they do not help in any way they do not help with pre-trip and they do not help with learning how to drive they just put you in the seat and tell you what you need to do but do not teach you what to do the pre-trip you have to learn on your own I learned by practice while I was setting for hours and YouTube. If you're looking for a truck driving school please look somewhere else because this school is an embarrassment to truck drivers. I agree about the high pressure tactics. I was considering the school in Bethlehem, but was pressured by a recruiter in FL to commit almost immediately. When I resisted, her manager answered a few questions I had, but when I told him I wasn't ready to commit to start on Monday, he told me classes are limited seating and he couldn't guarantee a seat in a future class. I can't speak to the quality of the training, but if the recruiting and sign up process are any indication, beware. Do not allow yourself to be pressured into a hasty decision. read more
