Please don't use this service the one star rating is because I couldn't leave a negative star.(-*)…read moreI was recently (4 days before Christmas) in a car crash that I lost my fiance in and totaled the car. When I went to get my belongings out of the car the owner who obviously hates and I do mean doesn't have a nice word to say to one hates women. He said the tow bill was $300. Since the car (BMW) SUV was totaled in lei of the tow bill was signing over title. Well ended up having to pay $100.00 and the title before I could even open the door on the car. The whole time I am trying to retrieve our belongings without breaking down because all I could think about was my guy dying in that car and this man is in the background saying things like if there are any prescription bottles in there and you remove them and your name is not on them I'll have you thrown in jail. First of all there are not any in there and second why would I want somebody else's meds. I was wanting to get the battery that my fiance had put in the day of the crash because it came out of my Volvo and was brand new he blew a fuse and started yelling you ain't getting that battery because it goes with the car and it will be in there when it gets crushed. I told him since that was the case I would bring him the battery that came out of the car back to him and he yelled at me no and I asked why not and he yelled even louder because I don't trust you and I have had about enough of you. Thank goodness I had someone with me to witness his behavior who heard every word. When leaving I looked him in his eye and said thank you sir for letting me have my belongings. Of course he didn't acknowledge me but the person that I had drive me there happened to be a male, he pleasantly smiled at him a said take care of her why don't you take her a get her an Alka seltzer or something. We looked at each other like what? I don't know what he meant by that but it couldn't have been good. He was a heartless, no caring, male chauvinist who didn't give a rat's behind about anyone but himself and the almighty dollar. It cost me a hundred dollars and the title to get a few tools jumper cables 2 inhalers and my fiance's tennis shoe out of the car he died in. I hope karma reads this..... Women beware there's an 80 year old woman hater or so it seemed to me that owns Wideners towing and recovery. Please call anyone else to tow your car just don't call him.

I see only one other review and it is for a 1 star. It can not be for the same people!! No way!!…read moreMaybe an employee possibly, but not the owners. although I don't see them employing the type of person the O.P. reviewed. My son got the front wheels of his truck stuck over the top of a tow dolly ,at an ATV park, 2 hours from our home. We spent over an hour, contacting over 20 wrecker services to come lift his truck off. No one, and I mean NO ONE could help, for various reasons. This company agreed to meet us there in 2 hours, which would of been nearly after hours in the wrecker world. They came from the next county over. It was an older husband and wife team. They were very friendly. The wife and I talked the whole time they were there. I learned all about her family and her travels. She even played with my dog, who was becoming quite bored! By the time they were able to get the truck off the dolly and then situated back on, a couple hours had passed and they had to turn down 2 rotation wrecker calls which I am positive would have been worth way more money than what we were charged! The gentleman even waited and helped to make sure my sons truck was securely strapped onto our dolly and helped to jack up the dolly and get our other truck backed up and the dolly onto the ball of our truck. I about fell over when he told my son the price, stating he loves youngins and likes to help them out!! I would recommend this company to anyone in the area. What a delight to have met them.
