Young Drivers of Canada

Young Drivers of Canada

Today I came to share my experience with the private classes I had specifically for G2 with the…read moreYoung Drives company with Professor Jeff. A little about me, I'm Brazilian and I already had my driving license in my country, but I never had practice because I didn't have a car. When I came to Canada I saw the need to drive here. I took my G1 in 2019, but in the meantime I didn't drive either because I still don't have my own car, I had some lessons with my husband in the gear car and sometimes with the automatic borrowed car that seemed easier. I decided to look for a school to learn better because my husband was anxious and stressed at times. (He was very patient but not a professional to teach me.) Always hearing about Young Drives from third parties and advertisements, I decided to give it a try. Now my experience with them begins. I bought two separate classes, and it went very well, Prof Jeff was very friendly and calm. Classes were held in October and November. I decided to close a package of five 45-minute lessons. As long as the classes were during the day everything was going well and it seemed that my driving skills were improving and the teacher seemed calm and patient. However, the last two classes did not have a good experience. 3/5 was my first night class and I had a little difficulty, I don't know what happened in my instructor's personal life, I know he has neck pain and didn't seem as patient as the other classes. Well, it was a bad experience, he complained that I kept braking the car a lot (jerk the car), that was the expression he used, he asked me to stop asking if I kept going or turned somewhere, that day we practiced parking and if did something wrong he just lost his patience and kept complaining, sometimes i did not understand what he was saying, when it was time to leave I turned on the street he said to turn then he said that I shouldn't have turned in that place, then he kept saying he was late to go I don't know where after our class, and he was late. It really wasn't a good experience, I'm learning to drive and if I already knew I wouldn't hire someone to teach me, that day my confidence in driving dropped a lot. In the next class I thought it would be different, but it wasn't, on the speed bumps he didn't stop doing it to go slow, I tried to go slow and reduce the problem that I wasn't seeing well because it was night to brake in advance he started to brake for me the car, he complained about 4 times saying that could break his car or something, when I was done of hearing his being rude and steem off on me I said ok you already said that and I already heard. Close to my house, he said again that he was late to go somewhere after class so he was rushing things we said goodbye and I believe he didn't want to teach me anymore either, because we always scheduled the next one he thought it was the last one, he has noted and was not the last, I still need to complete one more to complete 5 classes, but I don't want to do it with him anymore. In general folks, for me the first classes were good, I'm not going to lie, but I don't know if he was pretending to be sympathetic or what, but the classes when they were at night were just not good, he was rude, I understand he worries about the car, but he also has to understand that he is teaching people who don't know how to drive a car to drive and the risks are already understood. I don't know how my experience with the next teacher will be, anyway, I only have one more class to complete the package I bought and I'm going to do my training at another school that I've already researched and it seems to me to be more affordable than this one. Fingers crossed to be good teachers and professionals.

She also has a great sense of humour & is very personable with you. Since my first lesson, Anne made me feel like a friend and not a just her student. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a driving instructor!

If you're looking for good service, great prices and knowledgeable staff STAY AWAY FROM HERE…read more Prices listed under the fake MSRP are higher than average for the area and not negotiable. When unable to find the price for a particular machine, the salesperson refused to ask another employee for that information, took down my contact information and never got back to me. I was going to buy 3 machines that day. A company that does not follow up on customer information requests does not deserve anyone's business. The salesperson dealt with did not know the product well enough to demo it properly. After sitting with the instruction booklet open beside them for reference, the salesperson finally managed to thread the machine. After some inane giggling, the following outburst sent my hackles up: "Hee hee. I guess I'd better learn the machine 'cause I'm teaching the class for it." A company that expects people to pay for sewing classes taught by people without training or teaching skills does not deserve anyone's business. If LA Sewing is using untrained and uninformed staff to teach courses and run the sales floor, it does not instill confidence in the service and repair room. If these individuals have the same lack of skills, they will cause damage to the expensive machines entrusted to them. The owners of LA Sewing have no qualms about hiring and using cheap, untrained labour and charging the customer top dollar for that disservice. I will purchase my machines elsewhere and encourage others to do the same.
