Came out and started work the very next day…read more However. It felt quite manipulative that a couple of hours after we agreed on the price and extent of repairs, 'Johnny' called to say that he felt it best to replace the whole roof. This meant way more money, way more time, and taking off shingles that there's nothing wrong with them - 80-90% of the roof would've lasted another 20-30 years. He hinted that he would no longer be willing to do the job unless I agreed to have the whole roof replaced. Then, during FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT, the Mexican guys who work for him drilled a big hole in the ceiling, through the drywall; and then they dropped a big crowbar tool through the skylight, gouging a couple holes in the hardwood floor. When I told him about these incidents, his charming demeanor was gone - he looked doubtful, repeatedly asked if I was sure the hole wasn't there before, and clearly didn't want to be responsible for dealing with it. The ceiling drywall had to be repainted, which was a whole thing, because they used shiny instead of matte paint; then the color was wrong so they had to paint a couple of walls... and instead of having their most proficient guys do it, they were using the opportunity to teach their younger guys to paint - so it was a mess, and I strongly felt I needed to oversee them working and make corrections, or they'd damage something else. (Like getting paint on the floors, windows, and trim). I was quite busy with other things around this time and didn't enjoy having to do this. The damage to the floor was not fixed to satisfaction, (they had no idea what to do) but at that point I just wanted them all out of the house. After everything, I had to remind Johnny multiple times to send the warranty... Finally, as a side note: it is not super professional to - (in front of the customer - during a job) - act annoyed at or even argue with your WIFE , on the phone, when she calls. Just sayin'.

Josh is absolutely amazing! I was in the midst of trying to do repairs that I was responsible for,…read moreafter the sale of a house and Josh sent me a receipt for materials that was compared to another estimate, josh's receipt was $70 and another company quoted me $600 for materials!!!!. Josh is super transparent about using technology as a form of accountability and he did a great job fixing the repairs I needed done right away, constantly checking in with me to make sure that everything was up to my standards. I was hoping to use him for more work but unfortunately, the new owner was a complete dick and decided to pull the plug on Josh finishing the work, BUT, he will realize what a huge mistake he made because I do tons of projects all over the country and I've never had a contractor be so transparent and communicative with me. The buyer is brand new to the real estate/investment industry and will have to learn these lessons himself, but as far as Josh goes, he is one of the best Contractors I've ever had the pleasure of working with, super honest about pricing and doesn't try to over sell for any reason, which is hard to find these days with any construction jobs because of inflation and delays and shipments etc. If you're looking for a reliable contractor that can do pretty much anything, Josh is your guy!

Our client called 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment, saying he had not arrived yet. I contacted Joshua, and he texted me back saying the text he sent me in the morning must not have gone through, and he will need to reschedule for another day. Still wanting to work with him, we asked Joshua to pick a new day and time for the next appointment. The same thing happened the second time around leaving the customer waiting, only this time he stopped responding to calls and messages. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews about businesses, but to no-show twice is not acceptable.
