In mid-November 2020, Jared came by to give me a quote for tiling around my new fireplace. He arrived as scheduled, measured the space, looked at the tile options I was considering and even helped me decide which tile to go with based on his experiences and his eye for detail. He told me how much tile to order and gave me a great price for the install. Once the tiles arrived, we set the date for tiling. He arrived on the day and time as scheduled. His work was meticulous! He finished the tiling one day, and came back the next day to grout. The grout he chose went perfectly with the tile. I had bought, and finished, a piece of black walnut for the mantel, and was waiting on a set of hand-made iron brackets to cure before installation. Jared returned a week later to install the brackets and the mantel which presented a couple of challenges since the wood was bowed, more than a little, in the center. Jared measured, cut and chiseled the mantel to get it as close to perfection as humanly possible. Turns out, he was more of a perfectionist than me! I could not be happier with the end results.
