If you like lies, delays, excuses, poor workmanship and total frustration, these are the guys for you. If not, run the other way as fast as you can. It is absolute amateur hour with this company. We signed a contract for custom cabinets and granite installation on January 22, 2015. We ordered and paid $1,000 extra for an integral bi-level granite sink that we saw in their Altamonte Springs showroom. We are still waiting for the entire job to be completed. During the cabinet process the face of our island was cut incorrectly and has yet to be fixed. The cabinet folks were sweet but couldn't keep an appointment to save their lives. If you like people showing up late then working till 10 pm in your home, these are your guys. After cabinets, the granite was supposed to be installed. Two installation appointments were missed with no return phone calls, no explanation, just eventually so sorry. To make up for the missed appointments and non-returned phone calls, Walter promised to provide the 3 window sills we'd ordered for free. Finally they showed up and the entire counter was cut incorrectly. The crew left with it and said it would have to be completely fabricated again. Another week went by, another missed appointment then they showed up and installed it. It fit, it looked great, but the sink wouldn't drain. There was constant standing water because the fabricators failed to do the work correctly and actually make a sink a sink. In addition they cut the hole for the soap dispenser on the wrong side of the sink. They did not fix the flaw in the island or provide the window sills or paint the raw wood under the island's counter top. And they damaged the dishwasher drain during the installation. They had the temerity to email me the next morning to ask for the final payment. I sent them the punch list, and began waiting once again. That was on March 18. Finally on March 26th, Walter came out, agreed to fix every item on the punch list INCLUDING fabricating a 3rd counter top and sink! He said it would be about 2 weeks. We followed up with un-returned phone calls and emails and finally on April 16th hired an attorney who sent him demand letter. Walter finally called and told us that we only had minor problems, that at least I had a sink (standing unsanitary water apparently doesn't matter), that he was behind on his BIG job in Mall of Millenia, that his guy had hurt himself, and basically wanted to know why WE were being so unreasonable. Once again he promised to come out and take care of everything. Finally after two more calls and one more letter from our attorney his crew showed up on the appointed day in late May 3 hours late and 2 people short to do the work. They couldn't and didn't. Two days later they finally showed up with enough people and installed the new sink and counter top. And it finally drained correctly. They didn't fix the island. They didn't provide the window sills. They didn't paint the raw wood. They did however break a light switch and electrical receptacle and scratch our hardwood floors. And, they didn't fix the dishwasher. Walter promised to "take care of" all of these problems numerous times. After emailing him once again, we received a reply on June 6 that started with and I am directly quoting "I ll not going respond every item of the email because I have other important things to do" It ended with, and again I am quoting, "I will call you tomorrow morning you tell me which way you wanna go." We are still waiting on that phone call.

When they did the template, I sat there for three hours while they did it not one person asked me anything to come to find out. They couldn't speak English, and they couldn't understand any English. When they put the granite on the backsplash, it doesn't match any of the veining and the customer service is NILL. A gentleman came out to look at what was wrong said he would be in touch and I never heard from him again I reached out to him through text with no answer. Now I'm stuck hiring another granite company to repair their mistakes. Do not use this granite company. You will not be happy with their workmanship.

I retained Mr. Heller to complete a residential remodel that included removing and replacing…read moreflooring; relocating two doorways and closing a third with the necessary drywall installation, mudding, and texturing; and painting. He began work on October 30. By December 30, when he suspended work on the project, he had completed less than 50% of the agreed-upon scope. Mr. Heller does not hold a general contractor's license. He operates under his father's license, although his father does not perform or supervise the work. Flooring The flooring manufacturer's installation instructions clearly state that a vapor barrier is required for LVP installation. Mr. Heller did not install one. The instructions also require the subfloor to be leveled to within 3/16" over a 10-foot span. The flooring that was installed has numerous hollow areas, and I can feel thinset patches beneath the planks that Mr. Heller claimed he removed. In the middle of the kitchen, the floor sinks approximately 1/4" to 1/2" when stepped on. Mr. Heller insisted this was normal and acceptable due to the nature of floating floors. He further placed blame on me for not purchasing the LVP he recommended, on the concrete pad for not being properly leveled 30 years ago, and even on the weather. After Mr. Heller walked off the job, I had four independent contractors assess the work. All four stated that the flooring must be torn out, the concrete pad properly leveled, a vapor barrier installed, and the flooring reinstalled. Additionally, the manufacturer's installation guide specifies that planks must be cut to allow a 1/4" expansion gap between the plank edge and the wall. While some planks were cut correctly, many were not; in several areas the cut edges extend beneath the drywall. Because LVP planks are damaged when removed, I will now have to purchase entirely new flooring to replace what was improperly installed. Drywall We asked Mr. Heller to shift two kitchen doorways approximately two feet to the right and close in a third doorway. Despite multiple rounds of mudding and sanding, the drywall joints remain clearly visible. Popcorn texturing was applied in an attempt to conceal the joints, but they are still obvious. I understand that drywall finishing is a skilled trade. However, if a contractor cannot produce professional results, they should not charge professional rates for substandard workmanship. Fees and Contract Issues Mr. Heller and I signed a written agreement stating that 50% of the total cost would be paid up front, with the remaining 50% due upon completion of the work. On December 30, after completing less than half of the project, Mr. Heller demanded that I pay 50% of the remaining balance as a cash draw because he was running low on funds. When I pointed out that this was a clear breach of contract, his response was, "I need to go where the money is." He then stated that if I did not meet his demand, he would leave to take on other jobs and schedule me in when he had time--after already being on the job for two months. I refused to pay additional funds until the work was completed, at which point he walked off the job. Additionally, I asked Mr. Heller to apply wall texture in the kitchen because it was clear he would not be able to skim coat the walls sufficiently to conceal the drywall joints. After completing that work, he presented me with a bill for the texturing and for other work that had been completed weeks earlier--on top of his demand for half of the remaining contract balance. Overall Impression Mr. Heller and his wife are pleasant and congenial people. Unfortunately, Mr. Heller does not appear to be particularly motivated or capable of completing work to a professional standard. He promised the project would be completed by Christmas, yet left the worksite after Christmas with less than half of the work done. Because my wife and I arranged for the work to be started early enough in the year, we had every expectation that it would be completed by Christmas since we planned to spend the holidays at home with our children and grandchildren. Mr. Heller assured us that the work would be completed by Christmas. When it became obvious that his assurances were unlikely to be met, we arranged to rent a five bedroom house so we could have a place to celebrate Christmas with our family. While Mr. Heller possesses some basic contractor skills, the quality of his work is mediocre at best.

We purchased quartz countertops from this company, including an undermount sink installation that…read morewas part of a promotion. About three years later, the sink detached and fell. From what we have since learned, the sink appears to have been improperly secured during installation. When I contacted the company, I was told the installer no longer works there and that the warranty had expired, so I would need to hire another installer at my own expense. I understand warranties have limits, but I expected an undermount sink installation to last much longer than three years. I'm sharing this so future customers can ask detailed questions about installation methods and long-term support before purchasing.

I had a quartz kitchen counter and vanity counter installed in May 2024. I asked if clips would be…read moreused to attach the sinks to the quartz and was told no, Black Mamba adhesive would be used. However, during the installation by Sanford Granite, my contractor was on site and asked why they were using silicone, which he expressed would not hold the sinks. My contractor's specialty is tile, so he knows a thing or two about adhesives. The installers told him they used silicone "all the time" and dismissed his concerns. Fast forward to March 2026, when the bathroom sink detached from the quartz and collapsed into the vanity. My calls to Sanford Granite were disappointing, to put it mildly. I was told that the guarantee was only a year even though the correct adhesive was not used. My concern was two-fold; I needed the bathroom sink reattached, and was my kitchen sink next to fall? I asked for an installer to address the bathroom sink and assess the kitchen sink. There was no urgency on the part of Sanford Granite to fix the problem. Since the bathroom sink was unusable and I could not wait weeks for a response from Sanford Granite, I ultimately had my contractor reattach the bathroom sink properly. It took 3 weeks for Sanford Granite's installer to take a look at the kitchen sink and how it was attached to the quartz. He said that he couldn't fix the kitchen sink until it fell. Since the proper adhesive, Black Mamba, was not used as promised, I was stunned when the installer informed me that it is my responsibility to pay $150-$200 to have it reattached. So after spending $5000+ to Sanford Granite, I have to pay someone to fix their mistake.
