This was the third place I went looking for a custom hairtopper. I went in thinking I was not going to get anything I wanted. I had been given the run around by a few companies. Riviera listened to what I wanted. Jack showed my a few options & gave me exactly what I wanted that day. Everyone was so nice. Cathy is an outstanding stylist. She cut & styled the piece perfectly. The stylist that work there and receptionist are lovely hence the one star. The wig I received was incorrect and after two tries simply doesnt work. Due to cancer treatment I lost my hair and am a younger mother of three kids. At the first measurement (when they were getting the sale) all was lovely and left feeling happy given the situation. Even left a deposit for $500 rather than paid in full to see if the digni cap worked or not for a $2,800 wig. The wig I was given did not look the one I picked. When I needed to come in because I lost my hair to have the wig fitted properly and styled it just didn't look right at all. I asked numerous times to please ask the owner for all the pictures he took and to verify the color was right as he spent time with me at the initial sale appt. I could hear him on the other side of the door and choosing not to acknowledge. Not the fault of the stylist who was lovely. The owners were in argument with one another over another client as we could all hear. I was in a very tough spot because I lost my hair treatment so rolled with it because I figured they'd make it right. Came a second time the stylist was lovely but also knew the wig just doesn't work at all only wore it twice. Gave another chance for owners to make it right and nothing. The wig can't even be used by me. Luckily the stylist was so kind she gave me a recommendation on the right thing to order that was under $200 dollars. Upon leaving the owner legit did nothing and said they'd call and nothing. There's numerous places on Long Island that are much kinder after the sales made and through the process and make sure the work is correct. Especially for those going through treatment and feeling weak and not themselves during treatment do not get scammed like I did. read more

I started coming to Riviera Hair after purchasing a men's hair replacement unit elsewhere. The people who work here are pleasant and attentive. I had expressed my disappointment with the unit I purchased elsewhere and at the time of my first visit the unit was only two weeks old. They worked tirelessly hoping they could get me to like it. They expressed it wasn't the right unit for a first time wearer and it also didn't fit me properly. Over time, I recognized that I would need to replace the unit that I was wearing. Based upon everything they told me, I listened and ordered a custom hairpiece from Riviera. The original unit was custom also but they told me it was not. Today, I picked up their unit. Between the two, I've spent $3000 plus the near $100.00 every three weeks for maintenance. I still need to see my barber to trim my bio hair so there's a lot of time and cost related to this. The new unit purchased here is quite likely worse than the original one. Everything they promised, they delivered on, but the product is not quality and certainly isn't what I expressed I wanted. It's fairly hideous. The team here is always complimentary when you get a refitting, but what else are they going to be. The styles are from the 70s and 80s. No man wears his bio hair the way they style the fake hair. I requested something edgy and rugged and I ended up with Liza Minnelli. Not sure if it is the unit, their skills or a combination of both. I don't want to give a bad review but want to warn that you may not get what you hoped for. I recognize this is all very subjective, but I'm the wearer and embarrassed to step out of the house. I wore a ball cap when my hair was thinning and wore one the first six months of wearing the old piece. Now I will continue to wear a ball cap with this new one until my bio hair grows back and I can return to the reality of how much better I looked with my own thinning hair than this unfortunate expensive mistake. This solution has not proved beneficial for me. in my opinion, many of these manufacturers likely started designing women's wigs and later got into men's hair replacements. Until they recognize what a man needs in a hair replacement versus the fashion and change that a woman desires, for me this is not they way to go. I don't want to look like a woman who just stepped out of the "beauty salon". read more

Riviera Wigs made my first real hair wig almost three years ago and it was perfect. I asked them to make a gray streak in the front of the wig to match my real gray streak and it was a perfect match. If I had to wear a wig this was as close to my natural hair as you could get. Fast forward almost three years. Time for a new one. They copied the old wig PERFECTLY. Every strand of hair was exactly like the old wig, but better. The people who work here are artists.Their work is meticulous. They are kind and empathetic.They make what could be a devastating time easy. When I walk in with my nieces it's like coming home to family. If you need to wear a wig or hair piece, male or female, Come here. Their work is so good you will forget you have no hair. read more

8 1/2 years ago, I was undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and needed a wig. However, when you're going through treatment, you need far more than a mere "wig" - you need compassion, empathy, discretion, a joyful disposition, and a professional staff to help you get through the dark days. Riviera provided all of this and more. Jack is hands down an amazing expert in the field. Joan provided superb styling with the finesse and love of the crem de la crem of hair stylists! There's not a single person there that I came across who is less than stellar. If you want a private experience, excellent service, and a product that is quality, bar none, this is the place for you. read more
