There's not a dull moment on the ride, lots of hills and trees to maneuver through. We even got to see some deer up close and personal. I called the stables and they gave me the number of Jim, one of the instructors. Jim was very pleasant, and seemed like an all round knowledgeable and great guy. I wanted to get 2 hours, but he told me not to as she would be using muscles she never used, he didn't want her to be too sore afterwards. It is rare to have someone talk you out of paying them more! The morning of, I tell my wife what to wear, blindfold her, and bring here here. It is a little hard to find, being situated back from the road and the sign is obscured, but no prohibitively so. Jim met us out side of the stable and gave my wife a tour. My wife LOVED her lessons, by the end of the lesson she was riding (walking) unassisted and had learned some basics about taking care of the horse. All in all the lesson was actually around an hour and a half. I would recommend this stable, and more specifically Jim, to ANYONE looking for lessons. It was only $50 for an hour, and Jim was wonderful at coaching my wife.
