They were invited by Rachel Carver, Assistant Executive Director, to join the residents for a complimentary lunch before making a decision. My mother is ciliac and the chef customized a beautiful salad for her enjoyment. They were also taken on a tour of Aberdeen Gardens and she was shown the room she would stay in. My parents were so impressed with both the retirment home and its amenities, but the real decision was made after meeting Rachel and the amazing staff. I live in Atlanta, GA and arrived in Hamilton the day of my father's surgery. I visited my mother at Aberdeen and was immediately welcomed by the lovely staff at the front desk and was immediately taken to be introduced to Rachel and Nicole Barrett, Director of Care. They immediately updated me on my mother's care and after visiting her I saw that she is actually learning some things to help her to be more independent once she goes home. My mother is not able to get out of bed on her own, dress herself or know when to take her pills. The staff at Aberdeen make sure she is bathed and dressed and she enjoys going for meals in the dining room. There is also live entertainment and my mother was able to have her hair styled once a week, which is fantastic. We had to extend my mother's stay due to my father's recovery time and Rachel and Nicole said they would be able to accomodate the request, which was a huge relief. My mother goes home in two days, and to say our family is eternally grateful to the entire staff of Aberdeen Gardens is an understatement. I truly hope that one day, if the need arises, that my parents will become full time residents at Aberdeen Gardens where my family knows they will be very, very happy! Thank you to everyone! They sent an inexperienced caregiver who was inept, rude, and texted as much as she could. When I complained to Shane, her behavior got worse this time she started locking herself in the bathroom ostensibly to clean but it was basically to text more. My family paid for a service that has irrevocably damaged our family unit because I feel so upset with them for not being heard about how awful the caregiver was.

We were most fortunate that Dahlia through Shane doing his diligent screening, passed on our file to Dahlia. Within hours, we had services up and running once again. What a life safer! And don't kid yourself, Dahlia is a Registered RN. So you have medical advice 24/7; along with the VON; PSW; Palliative team chances are you most likely are linked with some other service. When this occurs Dahlia is always in the background guiding you and her PSW's. Most professional. If Dahlia is unable to get a shift covered, she even came out and covered it herself. I can't say enough about this company... only that Comfort Keepers is most Comforting Company right to the very end when my significant other passed away. I asked my mother and called her dentist and they couldn't see me right away. However they referred me to Dentistry on Jamieson. I called after hrs and left a message. The very next morning (a Saturday) I received a call from Jess and I was in, right away. Jess' directions were clear and the location was easy to find. I walked into a clean lined office of calmness which was needed cause I was a little apprehensive. I even noticed they have iPads for the kids. I was greeted warmly and after filling in a easy new patient form I was promptly brought into the examination room by Justine and she filled me in on X-rays and what they were going to do. The new office boasted state of the art new equipment including a panoramic X-ray that was so easy and my favorite the flat screen tv to distract me from what was about to happen in my mouth. Now I have avoided dentists like the plague after some harrowing experiences with 2 separate dentist. Dr. Asi came in and had a calm confidence about him and he put me to ease right away. He reviewed my urgent issues and brought up some new findings. His knowledge and communication with me was excellent as he explained everything clearly and answered all my questions and put my concerns to rest. Now was the time for the broken tooth extraction. Remember my dislike for this whole process. Dr. Asi's gentle approach and technique was amazing. I hardly felt anything and before I knew it, it was all over. Now for what could be the painful part - the cost. I don't have any dental coverage so everything is out of pocket. This part was just as gentle as the procedure. Dr. Asi's rates are the most reasonable out there. A great dentist with great rates, I am returning to get the other issues and recommendations taken care of. From the initial walk in, to meeting the great staff and a talented doctor it was the best dentist visit in my life. I was pleasantly relieved that it worked out that way. I live 3 hrs away and I know to stick to a good thing when I find it. And I have found it in the BEST PLACE for dental care, Dentistry on Jamieson. Thank you Dr. Asi - Jess - Justine
