Located next to a very noisy, polluted, busy road so expect an uncomfortable nights sleep. Rooms not guaranteed to be cleaned each day with no explanation. On-suite not in all rooms so check first. No heating allowed despite cold evenings. The general manager living on site, Billy, is rude, grumpy, foul-mouthed, irritable and short tempered. Billy does not know how to host or professionally treat paying guests. Billy lacks the training, composure, charm, courtesy, hospitality, and friendliness to keep guests happy and respected. The guest house is generally kept clean, basic standard breakfast (no milk one morning), and located next to a co-op. Would not return as not value for money. Short stay of 1 to 2 nights advised if you are very very desperate. Otherwise use air b&b.

Rather spatan funished with a steel bed, stool, an armchair and a ochset of drawers. Not really pretty. There was a mal kitchenette with fridge, hotplatte and a sink. To have a meal you had kniff, folks and plates. Thus there was everything for eating but it was not comfortable. With the dark shadow in front of the window you could only open it if you risced people watching you as there was no curtain. And the shadow was not in best condition. The bad as plan as the main room. No shelf to place your toothbursh or shave on it. The sink to small for that room which was more for a guest toilet. Wifi is standart but no TV. So without my tablet I would have died of boredom. The stuff was friendly altough I talk to the chief lady only. You can have Breakfast for 4 Pounds extra each day. Now this is expensive with other B&Bs this in inclusive. I knew this before and rather have chosen my own breakfast.

Thurnham Keep House has a rich history including a hospital for RAF Pilots during World War II. Amanda Lane moved here when she was a teen and grew up in the house. Great historical perspective on the estate plus very friendly and you really felt like you were at home. We stayed in the Hever Room. Beautiful views, magnificent room, and Olde Worlde architecture and interior. If you are going to the UK, this would be a definite place to use as the focal point for touring the Kent and other Southeastern sections of the UK.
