Ice fishing outfitters were great! Easy to make a reservation just by calling their phone number and they were very accommodating with the date and huts. You do have to bring your own fishing rods though. It was an easy drive there and the place was visible and easy to find. We paid up ($50/person) at their office and the lady at the desk was very nice! We then got into their shuttle hut and was driven out about 10 minutes to our own hut in the middle of the lake. The employee set up the ice for us, gave us some brief instructions and handed us the mino fish bait and then drove off. It was a cute little red hut with a heater inside. The heater gets VERY warm so no need to be afraid of the cold. It was big enough to fit 4 people, but I think would be very squished. For 2 people it was great there was room to move around. With no experience we managed to catch a few fish, it was very exciting! The staff comes around every few hours to make sure you are ok and you have supplies. All the staff were very friendly. They even offer food delivery in case you forgot your lunch. When you are ready to leave you just give them a call or let one of the staff know when they are coming around and they pick you up and drive you back to land. It was a wonderful way to spend the day and definitely made us fishing fans!

The hills are great for all levels, from beginners to more confident skiers and snowboarders. You can rent put ski equipment on-site and book lessons online prior to your visit. There's a chalet that you can you can use to keep your stuff dry or sit down and rest or enjoy a warm beverage or meal from the cafeteria. The staff are helpful and keep things running smoothly.

I went in late May where the whether was ok but very quiet in the late spring so no issues with busy locks or too many boaters in the water. Got a chance to see their luxury boats and it's like a floating hotel. Can't wait to go back. Highlights of the trip were Boyd island, Bobcaygeon, Lower Buckhorn lake, Wolfe Island and Lovesick lock.

We didn't know that ahead, but we were lucky that someone gave us their spots. We walked around the conservation area and the lodge. Then it was the time to do the boat cruise. Before onboarding, we had to wear the life jackets, the staff were so responsive that double check our jackets before stepping on the boat. The staff were really informative that introduced a lot of environmental concerns and information to us. The boat cruise almost an hour. We saw different birds and fish there. We also learned that they have different programs and camps for different ages. It's a good place to get started for kids understanding the environmental impacts.

I told them I know how to ride and they gave me a horse named Ryan, who was really sluggish and required tons of leg work to keep up with the group. It was absolutely exhausting and super frustrating. We came by here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and I did not enjoy it. My husband and was given a different horse named Ranger, and he didn't have to do anything to keep his horse moving. He had a much better experience than me. Another con is they don't let you interact with the horses before the ride or after the ride. I would have liked to be able to pet the horses or pet them and get some close ups with the horses. When you are on the trail ride they take your photo at two spots and this is included with admission cost. However we paid full price and I heard other people say how much they paid and they had used a groupon and paid half as much as us. After the ride, they offered us a promo to come back but I did not take the flyer because I did not want to go back. I feel bad writing this review because I don't want anything bad to happen to any of the horses if their business does badly but I did not have a good time. I don't recommend riding the horse named Ryan. The company also said to not to bring your phones but everyone else brought their phones. I was disappointed I didn't have mine.

I heard birds and saw signs about bird watching, so I'm guessing during summer the trails have opportunities for that. But I'm more interested in the trails which provide a great amount of physical activity. Many of these trails are interconnected, so you will have to take in parts of or, in a few cases, an entire trail to get to your desired trail, which can be hard to find given that the entrance is hidden. You want to enter near the butterfly garden as opposed to the sign in my photo. The trails, once you get on the right track, are clearly marked.

Even then, you have to pay at least an hour parking fee to park there; which I believe maybe 1/2 hour would be enough for a small park. There is a paved walkway along the waterfront and you can enjoy the nice scenery during your walks. You also can use the designated area to load your canoe, or you can go to the canoe club and rent one. The washrooms are now closed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
