We moved our business to Riverview after BofA customer service became too slow and painful to deal with. When we started at Riverview, we found very responsive service and support, including by phone. They truly were a community bank. But they hired a new CEO a couple of years ago, changed their name to Riverview Bank and started to change their image to look like their larger competitors. Since the new CEO took over, there's been a tone-deaf feeling to their messaging. The latest instance was pretty outrageous, prompting me to write this review.
Awhile back they adopted the slogan, "It's about you." Uh huh. Today we received notice in an email sporting that slogan that they are adding many, many junk fees. I'm afraid that if I even stand on the wrong foot while using their app I'll be charged a fee for it.
People want personal service and value, not so many junk fees that you fear they'll pick your pocket and to add to the distrust they cover up their new corporate greed with dishonest sloganeering. Has Riverview lost its way? I don't trust what they'll do next. read more
