I had lost track of where I had parked it and I was so tired and with the storm, ( it wasn't a pleasant experience), but anyway, everyone was very helpful helping me try to find the right building and so forth. A young man, BRIAN,( a tall and bearded ) was a sweetheart, he told me where to go and finally poor thing decided to take me right where I was going. He didn't have to do that, he was working but what a kind and thoughtful young man to be so nice to a befuddled old woman. I appreciate all that he did. I wanted to give him something for his troubles, but wouldn't take anything ( I only had a credit card, but would have gotten something for him). Thank you once again Brian, you were raised the proper way. Your hospital has a terrific employee working for you, (raise time). My son operation was a success and feeling ok today, sore of course. They will lie to you. anything they have to do to cover up very low quality care as long as they are getting money they do not care about you. This is a business. It's not a care facility. their business plan is as fast and cheap as you can do it and charge the maximum amount. Profit over the best possible care. they pay more people to get your money than they do. Doctors Riverside is a joke.

Well, US tech went "off call" at 3pm and Dr. Lin couldn't promise we'd get the ultrasound done the following day - considering the need was immediate I felt this was unacceptable at best. I then had to rush him to Richmond, two hours away. Icing on the cake - patient registrar kept pushing two things: 1) 20% discount on a false $500 copay (I knew our ER copay was $200), 2) ambulance transfer to Richmond (which was unnecessary and another money grab). Do yourself and your loved ones a favor if at all possible, skip this "medical facility" and drive to Richmond straight from the start.

(I am so nervous about surgery) The patient registrar, nurses, and surgeon were GREAT! I know hospitals rub most people the wrong way. But these people were compassionate, reassuring, respectful, and above all professional. I can't thank them ALL enough for their kindness, amazing customer service, and accommodating spirit. Our lives are in the hands of these skilled people when visiting, so having this experience would make me definitely recommend returning for any future surgery's, emergencies, or procedures. Our mother has been in this hospital since February 25th. She was kept in ICU until she was well…read moreenough to be transferred. She has been given the best treatment possible. She was moved out to a regular room on March 2nd. She is still receiving the best care possible along with physical therapy. The staff members are highly qualified, friendly, respectful and the best staff members in the Hampton Roads area. We would not want our mother to be in any other hospital. Highly disappointed in my experience today! Was scheduled for lab work and an EKG pre-op for my…read moreupcoming surgery. Drove into Newport News the night before to stay in a hotel so that I could arrive on time the next morning for my pre-ops that I was scheduled to have. It was a ghost town in there! Ran into another patient in the hallways that was there for the exact same thing and she said she was turned away and told to come back tomorrow because they only had one phlebotomist on staff. I immediately became overwhelmed! Approached the lab office to a family of 3 including a newborn waiting and was never greeted by any staff. The father suggested I go to ER to register and advised that he was told it would be a long wait. I proceeded to the ER, and was greeted but the associate immediately became dismissive once I told her what I was there for. I explained to her that I drove up over 4 hours from NC and stayed at a hotel overnight just so that I can have my pre-ops done and she showed absolutely no empathy or care in the world. She pretended not to see any orders in the system and asked to me have a seat so she could call the lab While I waited, I decided to call the answering service for my doctor who connected me to the on-call doctor who was extremely helpful and put the orders into my chart, after he noted that there were already open orders in my chart. I proceeded to the ER check in desk to advise the woman that the on-call doctor just submitted new orders and he also noted that there were orders already in the system that were still good. She basically displayed an annoyed look on her face and then proceeded to check me in. While waiting over 20 minutes for her to check me in, the lab called at least two times to see if I was still waiting and she confirmed. By the time I went back to the lab no one was there so I ranged the bell and the woman that answered came out telling me that they are closed! I advised her that I traveled from far to get here abs she advised that it would be a long wait so I waited. I am highly disappointed in the treatment that I received here today! Generally I have good things to say but this experience has me looking at the facility as a whole in another way. The only reason why I didn't give a zero is because apparently the only person who is at fault is the personal who scheduled me, but the treatment was unwarranted and not deserved. Drawing blood literally only takes a few minutes if the orders are already in the system which they were.

They gave us everything we needed and showed us the facility where my granddaughter would been seen. The lobby was very clean and they served fresh coffee. .They offered butter crackers, graham crackers tea ,and hot chocolate. It was very comfortable and when when the temperature changed they ordered us warm blankets.

I decided to take the 30 min ride and was quite impressed with this establishment and the employees. Before we entering the main building they checked our temperatures then directed us to the waiting area. It was super clean and smelled like Pine Sol every where lol. We really like the doctor (can't remember his name) . He was thorough and didn't rush. We scheduled another appointment with him at the Va Beach location. To sum it up it was totally worth the ride and wouldn't and would definitely recommend it!
