Dr. K is great with my dog. His office understands & provides excellent customer service. I find good customer service a rarity these days.

I can't imagine taking my babies anywhere else in the Reno area. On top of that the prices are great and the convenience is amazing. Having senior cats can be challenging with stress and travel and this elimates all that. Thank you so much for helping me care properly for my little babies.

I had scheduled an appointment for my cat, Jimmy, to receive vaccines and to discuss ongoing issues with inappropriate urination--an issue we've been dealing with for over two and a half years, dating back to his appointment in 2023. Initially, I hoped neutering would resolve the behavior, but the urination around the house continued. In 2024, I brought Jimmy to a local veterinarian for a comprehensive evaluation, which included a physical exam, bloodwork, urinalysis, and a variety of behavioral interventions (Feliway, additional litter boxes, different litters, a water fountain, and a prescription urinary diet). Unfortunately, none of these solutions worked, and the tests indicated the issue was most likely behavioral. Despite trying various strategies--closing doors, altering his environment, and attempting to outsmart him--Jimmy continued to urinate on our beds, clothing, and around the house. After careful consideration, we decided to try Prozac, as the benefits outweighed the risks in our situation. We were emotionally and physically exhausted, constantly doing laundry and managing the chaos, especially with young children in the home. I reached out to Battleborn Vet again, as our first experience had been positive and I hoped a home visit would be less stressful for Jimmy. Unfortunately, the appointment did not meet expectations. Dr. Matt and his assistant arrived 15-20 minutes late without any notification or apology. No reminder email or text was sent ahead of the visit either. I initially sent my husband out to speak with Dr. Matt, but he returned confused and frustrated, as the doctor was recommending a repeat of the same tests we had already completed. When I tried to explain our extensive history and prior testing, Dr. Matt repeatedly interrupted and spoke over me, showing little interest in hearing the background. He insisted on repeating tests, including a bladder ultrasound, and the assistant--who had previously been upbeat--was withdrawn and uncommunicative, making the entire visit feel tense and uncomfortable. I eventually asked to postpone the appointment. Dr. Matt stood silently working on his computer, finalizing charges and notes, while the assistant remained mostly silent. I ended up going to sit outside to avoid further discomfort. I was surprised to see a $120 travel fee to Cold Springs, which had not been disclosed, and was charged for an examination that I never witnessed take place. Felt more like a money grab today than anything. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. Given the lack of communication, professionalism, and empathy shown during the visit, I can no longer recommend this veterinary practice.

From the moment I called, the experience was incredible. Their receptionist/assistant was compassionate, listened to my concerns, and offered me the choice of an appointment for the next day or bringing her in immediately for their emergency services. Once I arrived, I met Dr. Jasan Ghuman, who was both compassionate and attentive. We discussed the various possibilities for why my cat was in this condition, and I later met Dr. Gia Kingston, who was equally caring and empathetic. They thoroughly assessed the situation and clearly advised me of my options. I have been a pet owner for many years and have seen numerous veterinarians, but I have never experienced such focused attention, genuine concern, and sincere compassion until now. As new patients, they got us in immediately, took excellent care of my cat, and were also incredibly supportive of my emotional state during such a stressful time. Having lived in North Lake Tahoe for 31 years, I have experienced many services in this area, but I have truly never encountered such a high level of customer service and genuine compassion as I did with this team. Dr. Ghuman and Dr. Kingston are both exceptionally skilled, highly professional, and truly dedicated practitioners who lead with their hearts. I have 100% faith in them and their entire team. I never thought I would switch practices, but I can proudly say that Agate Bay Animal Hospital is now my permanent veterinarian. This was truly the best experience I have ever had with a vet

Seeing Dr. Fisher is not my regular vet, I believe she went beyond the routine and definitely cared about the best treatment for my dog. If I lived closer to her practice, I would definitely use her as my preferred vet. I wish her and her staff all the best and thank them for being so compassionate.

They had an emergency. I gave them the case number from Animal Poison Control and the direct # to call. They said they would call and get back to me. They didn't. Obviously didn't seem a priority that my dog was poisoned. Thur: Day two I called again. They had another emergency. Plus they had too many 'squeeze ins' to see my dog, I had to wait at least a week to get seen. Apparently a poisoned dog doesn't qualify for a 'squeeze in'. I asked the woman what Animal Poison control recommended. She said, "I was on hold too long and had to hang up" So, as a test, I called Animal Poison Control myself immediately after hanging up with her. I waited on hold for 6 minutes. Obviously a poisoned dog doesn't warrant waiting on hold for 6 minutes. The person from Animal Poison Control said (and I'm quoting verbatim here), "Go somewhere else, immediately". So I did. Obviously never going back. I moved to Washoe about a year ago and they treated a cut on my dog adequately. That was my only other experience with them.

The original Vet Dr. Hatch used to occupy and own this property before he retired. Anyway since our last Vet retired from seeing patients to work solely in emergency care we needed to find someone new. I give a 2 star rating since the gal at the front desk and the assistant were both lovely girls and know how to treat customers. Sawyers ears were very dirty so the doctor wanted to take a look but alas the other doctor was gone and took the tool with her and asked if I would consider leaving my dog there for 2 hours to waits for the other doctor to reappear. Ummm that would be a hard No. I was surprised that they even asked me that. I don't know any of you! Seriously?!? The reason for todays visit was my dog had a red rash in his nether regions and I was beginning to worry since I first noticed it 2 days ago. My appointment was at 2:30 and that is when I arrived. Like I mentioned the first assistant asked a bunch of questions about Sawyer most of which would have been on the sheet I brought with me all about his last treatment, shots, ect. She mentioned she might want to do $250.00 worth of blood work, um that's a hard no. The initial visit was $75 and then another $50 for I don't know why... The doctor said she had no idea what the rash was and thought maybe it was a bacterial infection....Really?
