This is me and my husband's favorite spot to get away, out of the city. The grounds are always clean and so well maintained. The resort is owned by a family and they really are just great hosts. We recently stayed a week in our rv but they have primitive camping and cabins as well. I love that it is rarely as busy as all the other places on the river. They own their own private part of the river so you rarely see others from other campsites. The river access is supreme. I just can't say enough good things about this little hidden gem. Thank you for being so awesome!

This was a wonderful experience! Check in was great-extremely nice staff. We stayed in a cabin that was right up from the river. The room was clean and the AC worked great! We had a view of the river that was spectacular. The float trip was awesome! We have been floating many many times but this different because it was north of the other places we have stayed and we didn't run into a lot of drunk college kids-and that was important because we wanted a drama-free trip! The driver was nice, the trip was great, the stay was awesome! We will definitely be going back.

    Great float operator!

These guys and gals are awesome! We had a great time floating the Illinois River with them over the holiday weekend for the 4th of July. The river was just right, and the staff here was very friendly, very helpful and their prices were very fair. They bussed us up river and set us up with everything we needed to make it back to camp! Their store was well-stocked with all the stuff you tend to forget, like aqua socks, sunscreen and those clever little cases to keep stuff dry. OH, and you can't forget the always-classy koozie on a string, you know, so you can wear it around your neck! Everyone needs one or two of those!

If you're coming to Natural Falls for barbecuing, picnicking, short hiking, lounging around and camping...then this park is for you. I was scrolling through Google Maps and discovered a photo that looked intriguing. It was a picture of a 77 foot plunging waterfall among a scenic backdrop known as Ozark Springs. This Ozark Springs waterfall is the #1 top highlight at the park. The rest of the activities (I believe) are side compliments. So...if you're passing through West Siloam Springs, it could be worthwhile to check out Ozark Springs, and it doesn't take long to do. The trails map says 45 minutes, but it can be finished in less. The walk to the falls is half a mile at the most. You can find Ozark Springs along the Dripping Springs Trail. There are two parts to capturing views. First is from an overlook point high above. After completing this lookout spot, then it's 47 steps down to the bottom. The base of Ozark Falls has a boardwalk pathway leading you in front of the waterfall. I was tempted to step off the boardwalk to avoid the hand railing when taking pictures, but that wasn't not allowed. Also unfortunately, they don't permit swimming in the pool that Ozark Falls splashes into. But the waters appeared refreshing. You can connect Dripping Springs Trail with Ghost Coon Trail to combine two hikes in one. Or otherwise you can return to the Dripping Springs Trailhead and either choose another pathway or hang out, have lunch and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There are a few other trails you can consider, but they're nothing dramatic. - Fox Den Trail - 1.5 miles to a "rock overhang and cavern area". - Bear Trail - hardly a hike but leads to Ozark Springs and intersects with Dripping Springs Trail. - Pine Ridge Trail - 3/4th's of a mile that navigates the perimeter of Natural Falls Park. It's $10 entrance fee for a day pass. You can pay at the Visitor Center. Plus inside the VC, you can purchase souvenirs from a small selection of items or buy snacks and drinks if you haven't arrived prepared. I noticed they have a lot of space for camping. Although I didn't spend a night here, the conditions for sleeping outdoors looked inviting. Btw...while walking along Ghost Coon Trail, I passed by these Yurts, or I'd describe them as huts accommodative for "glamping" or glorified camping. It's like upscale camping staying in tent - cabins. There may have been 5 - 6 yurts located beside the grass edge of the forest and pleasant looking for enjoying the great outdoors. Overall, Natural Falls State Park has a quiet setting and is fine for taking a few hours to breathe in fresh air, especially if you're in no hurry. Although I wanted more challenging hiking trails and activities to keep me occupied, I was okay with taking a lazy day to appreciate nature.

So this past weekend I went to diamondhead to celebrate my birthday, we had a very large group of…read morepeople but we have NEVER had so much trouble and disappointed as we had this year!!!! I have been coming to diamondhead for the past 8 years, never have we choose to go to any resort but after this year my WHOLE GROUP (52 ppl) will be taking our money and enjoyment elsewhere!!! Apon arrival I called the morning we were coming out which would've been on that Friday. I asked what the remaining balance of our room was. The lady gave me an estimate. OK cool well as everyone who goes to diamond head knows that if you pay for the motel rooms or the bunk houses or any of that you have to pay a deposit so we did that back when we reserve the room months ago when we get there they want to charge us $125 incidental fee that the girls working register said it was in place of the deposit as well... but we already paid that on top of the remaining balance of our room didn't give nobody a heads up that they had made these changes didn't let me know whenever I called that morning that they were doing that so that was the first incident, especially because in the office on every single computer it only said that there was a $25 incidental fee not 125, when we pointed that out to the guy that was helping us, he instantly went to all of the computers and tore them down. then we get the keys to our room we walk in our room. It smells like complete fish like disgusting unbearable. We tried to air out the room that in hell we lit some candles that didn't really help and so we went back to the office and asked them about it, and the guy that originally helped us helped us again he didn't even wanna come in our room because he knew that it didn't smell good. He even told us that the room's leak whenever it rains... but they wanna charge us $125 incidental fee?? how about you upgrade your rooms and actually do something about the mold the stains ,the smell, the dirtiness why don't they worry about that instead of trying to charge people just like they charge my mother a $400 bill whenever she already paid fully for her room, how does that make any sense? and when did the prices go from $34 for a float to $40 per person per float up charging for what? Nothing about the float changed the mileage didn't change the capacity didn't change, so why does the price need to change? And on top of that, they drove all of us up to our destination to get on the raft to start our float and what wasn't there? the rafts! So we all had to wait around for 30 minutes at the destination just to wait for some rafts that should've already been there and ready.. Its sad this place is going downhill fast, because it was my favorite

Brandon the staff member/manager I believe that's what he was, Was very very polite, patient with the situation and made things right towards the end at our check out. I am certain other people have had a better experience than ours. With that being said I would still do business with diamond head and Brandon because he made it right and was understanding with the situation. Unfortunate what we went through, but it certainly was not Brandon's fault. Things break and things need repairing. And we had the bad luck that weekend. Thank you Brandon for working with us.
