In A Nutshell: -This…read moreWyndham location is in an excellent location. -You are never far from all the major spots in Sydney. -Just a 15 minute walk to Central Station, 20 mins to Circular Quay or 25 mins to Sydney Fish Market or Cockle Bay Wharf. -These are mini-suites which offer a small kitchen, a decent bed & tiny bathroom. -FREE laundry is available on floors 7, 11 & 15, which is a huge plus. -Room service wasn't that great. -Thin walls allows some noise to penetrate. -Wifi cost $5 AUD per 24 hours, for 500mb, the speed was faster than my T-Mobile roaming, but nothing crazy fast. -There's also a convenient store (rip off) & a Thai massage spot next door. Overall, the price point is average, but what makes this place worth it is the excellent location & free laundry.

This is the third Wyndham resort I've stayed in and my least favourite of the three…read more Plenty of emergency service sirens at night, street noise (although I've heard worse) and less than cleanly bedroom accessories. Everything on the bed should be cleaned! Sheets as well as decorative pillows and throws as they had some sinister stains on them. The main lounge tv wasn't great either with it frequently cutting out or freezing. The room is spacious though with two bedrooms, a kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. The main room came with ensuite but the position of the door and light switch weren't very functional. Get in early for car spaces otherwise there is a parking complex on Goulburn Street.

There is a large building where you can cook and eat under cover. There are fridges and sinks to wash up as well. Entertainment for kids (big & little) consist of organised craft & discos to swimming in the pools. We were able to spend a whole afternoon beside and in the pool. The pool slide looks as if it is a gentle enough experience but some were able to shoot out the end like a bullet. It is very deep at the slide end so little ones need to be caught in the water if they can't swim. It is also a short walk to the surf and a skate park.

Family reunion in late November! We stayed in one of the newer beach suites with three rooms in it…read more Two had queen size beds and one of the room had two sets of bunk beds. This one had a spa bath tub. The beach house was immaculate and lovely furnished. This place had everything you needed to make a comfortable stay, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, bedding, detergent (although limited amount for clothing) and even a washer and dryer for clothing! I loved how the front doors were all accordion style window doors. It made it perfect to open the doors in the morning and in the evening. It does get a little cool at evening so we shut them after about 9 pm. The beds were very comfortable and each room had a fan/heater for when you needed it. The place looked pretty new. Our family had a barn dance at the barn and the staff were kind enough to let us in early to setup, as no one else was renting it. It's very close to town as well: there is a Woolworth's in town and some other good stores and restaurants. There is planty to do for families. The pool was nice and clean, though it got packed at certain times of the day. The bouncing pads were one of the kids favorites, as were the parks, go-karts, and electric bikes. It was a great stay and I would definitely stay again.

Great place to get away from it all that's pet friendly so Fido can experience the serenity too…read morewith the choice of either setting up your own camp site, pre-setup glamping or cabins ranging from basic accommodation with beds & kitchen with no TV etc to modern luxurious cabins with modern amenities such as foxtel, coffee pod machines, DVD etc. All are very private & have hot showers & bathrooms, gas & solar power with outdoor hammocks, bbqs, tables & chairs. Over 6000 acres or private bushland to explore with a winding creek/river to have a dip, hills to climb & plenty of wild life. It's easy to miss the turn off just a couple of minutes drive up the road from the town. Mobile reception is patchy with Telstra & non-existent with Voda or Optus.

Me and my band of merry men epitomized the pioneer spirit of weekend warriors the world over and pointed our horses north west from Sydney and rode off toward the sunset of Turon Gates on a Friday after work. Arriving here in the dark was not the smartest move we've ever made so if you're inexperienced at putting tents together and unpacking or driving small roads in the dark, give yourselves plenty of time to get here during the day. The turn off just a stones throw outside Capertee is easily missed so be mindful of that. Then here comes the unnerving bit (at least it was in the dark). The drive from the gate to the managers place is probably around 15 to 20 minutes on very small dirt roads and not well sign posted. Just keep on the road and you will get there eventually, don't panic, like we did. We stopped off into the managers house and clearly had interrupted their dinner but were very warmly welcomed, given plenty of advice and pointers of stuff to do. They do take cash or Debit card only so remember to pack some dollery doos before you got to pay them. We camped and had one friend who got a basic hut. You can camp where you like, make a fire and sit back and relax. If you're city scum like most of us are you will not believe the night sky here it is truly incredible. The only sound is of nature. We didn't avail of any amenities or activities here bar the toilets but the manager let us know about trails, horse riding and canoeing that we could do. There are no frills hot showers and toilets available so don't panic. No phone reception or power outlets around so turn on, tune in and drop out of the rat race and enjoy the beauty of this place. If you've forgotten anything the garage and pub across the road in Capertee will have almost anything you need. Don't forget to bring your garbage bags as there were no communal bins that we could see anyway, so bear in mind you need to take your rubbish with you. Very relaxing weekend was had here that's pet and kid friendly with plenty to do if you're interested or just sit around near the river slamming beers like we did. Apparently Easter weekend is rammed here, so maybe skip that one if you want the peace and quiet I spoke about earlier.
