Hard to argue with a place where the scholastic performance is consistently well above expected and the kids come out prepared well for college! Ultimately that's what we're all really looking for, right? Full disclosure, I went to the former version of the school through eighth grade, but transferred out for high school. We currently have two little dudes that will soon be attending here. Having looked at a lot of different options including public and private, we found that Riverside fit our needs the best. We wanted our little guys to have small class sizes and a solid moral underpinning. Both of those are present and actively protected at Riverside.
Starting in pre-K, they have classes, as well as after school care options. The only thing that we have found to be a little bit different is the fact that kindergarten is only half day here, meaning the kids have to be in an after school care like setting after the morning is done. Ultimately, this is based on research suggesting the kids only need about four hours of instruction per day, and then need time to explore and play. I wish there would be some research that suggests the same for adults!

There are plenty of sports programs, many of which have done very well over the past decade. They've also got a number of afterschool clubs that participate in regional and national competitions.
My experience here was certainly different than it probably is now, but seeing the difference in preparedness for post high school studies, this is a place we're excited to send our little gents! read more
