This place is pretty large size and typical Casino atmosphere which is just a microcosm of Las Vegas which will never be matched. Still it is nice and lovely and full of people trying to beat and unbeatable system. my three Aunts who spent time with me at my dad's passing - they are his sister, cousin and aunt and were also my mom's friends before she married my dad were enjoying. Location and parking are convenient and the place is larger than a city like Albany needs. It's an easy to get to entertainment center. Sometimes gambling slots is fun, the hotel is nice to stay in. It's close to home for me.

Wow I was surprised they had a security entrance but understand the need. Slots were right there as you enter the casino. Good sized place with several machines. Loud but what would you expect at a place full of slot machines. They had their restaurants around the outer edges of the machines which was good use of space but due to the noise level we decided not to dive there as we wanted a little quiet to be able to talk and felt it would be too loud for us. read more

Tables games were all open and Afforable minimum bet for a Saturday night. Clean casino and very nice hotel. Smoking sections are nice and well maintained. Seems like security/management cleaned up the many rif rafs that were present before. Poker room big and busy with high hand pots. Slot machines are very new and updated. So I've been here a bunch of times. It's okay to go. But two beers was $20. Slots are either old or crowded. Table games are somewhat unreliable because the dealers are not professional. But they have cool bands and the atmosphere is always pretty upbeat. They have sports betting and a cool little spot outside you can smoke and gamble at the same time. The experience was less than desirable. 3 tables were occupied in the main dining room, took us 20 minutes to get our first drink. 2 orders for dinner: Short Rib Ragu: Gnocchi was WAY over cooked, ZERO texture, sauce was average. At the entrance, my buddy (also 21) and I presented our IDs--both from Florida. He got in without an issue, but as soon as they looked at mine, the security guard (bald guy, tall, glasses) decided to go on a power trip. He was rude, dismissive, and completely entitled, grilling me with questions that I answered without hesitation. Despite my ID scanning as valid, he arbitrarily decided I wasn't allowed in. I escalated the situation to a manager, expecting some professionalism--big mistake. The first manager didn't even bother listening, and when another one came, he repeated the same nonsense, claiming they "weren't comfortable" letting me play. No explanation. No reasoning. Just flat-out refusal, even though I had all the proof they could possibly need. The kicker? My buddy had the exact same type of ID as me. Our birthdays are literally a week apart. When I pointed this out and asked why he got in without a single question while I was denied, the manager scrambled for an excuse and claimed, "It's so recent that you're a risk for us to allow to play." But somehow, my friend--who is also 21 and only a week older--wasn't a "risk"? Make it make sense. This place clearly has no set standard and operates on random, inconsistent decisions. I came to the location for A Christmas party in the event center at Rivers Casino. The directions from the website were excellent but let me straight there. Parking was ample there was parking lot as well as a parking garage. I spoke to security to find out the best spot to park in and parked in the garage which Allowed me to park near the elevator and was able to take down and enter the event center. The casino space was large with large always and ceiling space with large windows which opened to the outside. The venue requires either a mask or to be vaccinated but they do not check your status. Inside the ballroom again it was large and spacious with large windows that opened out to the river and the Riverwalk. As I live in the area I am frequently at the casino. I really like it there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a question they are right there to take care of me From the cashiers to the girls at the little coffee shop to the wait staff getting me coffee. And a big shout out to Ashali and Sherry at the rewards desk. I was trying to book a room at the hotel and just could not do it. They stepped in and helped me. Literally HORRIBLE We came here for my 30th birthday yesterday. We also booked a room for the landing hotel. My husband lost his license but had a temporary one. My license expired YESTERDAY (30th birthday) I would have been able to get a temporary one on the DMV website. The website was down of course and I was unable to get what I needed. We checked into the hotel where the casino is with NO problem. We ordered drinks at the bar with NO problem. The guys checking the IDs at the casino were extremely rude towards me when it was flagged expired. I was visibly upset and explained it expired yesterday not giving any problems. He was petty and rude for no reason. We had reservations for the steakhouse for that night and the only way to get to the steakhouse was through this casino. I had sent my husband down to see if we could get in since the first time they were willing to allow him inside. They started giving HIM AN ISSUE because of his temporary ID. We explained the issue and he said we can pick up the food. We ordered dinner and he came back to pick it up and another security officer gave him a problem and wasn't nice about it. At this point my husband was annoyed and said "well if I can't pick up dinner then will you get it for me" the security officer said "I'll give you 10 minutes" he came back with the food and the officer said "thanks for being honest" not everyone is a bad guy willing to take advantage. We ended up having to eat out dinner up in our room and that was not the experience I wanted to have. We both dressed really nice to celebrate a milestone birthday at a nice steak house. We drove 4 hours to come here and celebrate my 30th birthday. Security officers need to stop being so rude and the hospitality was horrible towards the end. Legally you may be asked is it a service dog and what service does it provide. Which I told him Yes he is in service dog and and the service that he provides is for mental health. He then asked me what does the dog do. I think it was very unprofessional to ask me to to explain to him what my specific problems are. That's not legal and I felt totally degraded. I wound up having to go to the emergency room from the scene that he caused. I think that this place is a very horrible place and I would never attend there again. One of the worst experiences I've had in my life! My girlfriend was racially profiled and told that she cannot come into the casino because they do not believe that is the same girl on the identification. One of the security guards had a bias because we are young black people and wanted any reason to throw us out! Her ID was verified and she is 22 years old. They first brought up that the ID is vertical, then the manager comes out and asks for a passport which my girlfriend had a picture of (she lied and said the birthdays don't match, but the date did match) then she said that we don't believe that she is the same person on the ID because her nose is wider in the picture!! Girls Night Out! After some dinner and drinks, we came by Rivers on a Saturday Night to do something different for once. None of us are really gamblers, we were just looking for some fun. This was my 3rd time here and I have really enjoyed it each time. We decided to go to the Rewards Desk and sign up for a Rush Card to see if we got any free credits to play. The woman who helped us was extremely friendly and helpful, which started our experience off great. We all received shiny new cards with lanyards, a $10 table ticket and we each scratched off a card and won $5-$20 in free game play. The gaming floor is pretty small, but there are a lot of different table games and slots. After using up our free slot play, we were curious about table games. None of us have ever played the table games before so we were intimidated. We found an empty Black Jack table, figured that would be an easy game to start with, and asked if the woman would help us learn how to play with gambling. Our table lady(?), Tiffany, was extremely nice and taught us the hand gestures and how the game is normally played. We had a blast! The drinks were more pricey than I remember so we didn't have many, but it was a decent selection. There are two bar areas, one at Duke's and one on the other side which has a band play at night, cool! It is nice that the place has an outside smoking area with machines, since this Casino is non smoking. Rivers also has adequate parking in the garage(free) , which is easy to access and have an elevator that drops you right by the entrance.
