This company allowed for a billing option related to an insurance issue, but then just took $2000 from my account without authorization. This, just a few weeks before the holidays and when I fell on some unfortunate, unexpected times. This company needs to make a profit, but I had just made a payment and asked to continue with a scheduled payment play. I hope someone reconsiders what they did to me and sets up a proper, authorized payment plan. But be warned of the possible shady transactions that may occur on your account. read more

This is my second experience with RB Troy in two years, both of which I voluntarily chose (not court-ordered). In my first attempt, I wasn't fully accountable & avoided facing my feelings, leading to canceled sessions with Julia. Despite her patience & support, I wasn't committed to my mental health journey, damaging our partnership. In my second attempt, I found an incredible psychiatrist, Lauren K., who was direct & thorough. She helped adjust my medications, ensuring I was on the right dosage & feeling better. She also accommodated my schedule, making me feel accountable. I also began with a new therapist & finally addressed my thoughts, anxieties, & addictions while applying throughout my day what we discussed. I made significant progress--managing anxiety, receiving job offers, & quitting an addiction. However, my therapist began to come off short, reading texts during our last session, & seemed to rush me out the door. This caused me to have extreme anxiety, as I had been open, & agreed with the advice she given. She ended up terminating my treatment when I couldn't immediately commit to the IOP program, despite my intention to do so. I offered to adjust my work schedule & keep her informed, but I was dropped via email (lol) before we fully discussed the situation. I wish RB would provide more flexibility for working individuals & ensure clients aren't dismissed via email without thorough discussion. Now I'm back at square one which has not been good. Overall, my experience with RB was O.K, but I recommend clear communications with therapists & understanding expectations upfront to avoid similar issues. If you think your therapist isn't right for you, speak up, you're paying & it's your journey. read more

Absolutely abhorrent business run by incompetency and lack of communication. I wanted to see someone in lieu of witnessing my dog getting hit by a car, ie., PTSD. I scheduled an appt w therapist. She emailed to reschedule. I have all emails. She never suggested that the portals had to be filled out or she couldn't see me. I tried to finish her request two times and emailed her both times--giving AMPLE amount of time for her to either help me on the portal and to tell me that she was NOT going to see me unless I completed in portal! I lost two clients in driving and arriving there for SCHEDULED appointment that she rescheduled another session over me and NEVER contacted to tell me! I was sitting in the parking lot. And Amy Buchanan who called to tell me that I didn't have an appointment, and kept talking AT me, and OVER me, arguing abt my appointment. I was in parking lot went upstairs and lambasted Amy as well another front desk person that told me that I needed to respect others in session, quiet down. Why should I respect your clients in sessions when you do not respect my time and me?? The shrink, was also texting me. I asked her why she was hiding behind texts and not answering my calls. She said that she was in session. What shld have been my time w her. So a) she texts during session and b) doesn't read her emails as I had sent her immediately replying to her request for portal. Stephanie makes everything so much less stressful and my anxiety level with this process was significantly decreased. She listens without judgement and offers support without being intrusive or making you feel like her side is the ONLY side. Regardless if you want to go or not, appointments here with Stephanie (or even Bruce) becomes less "terrible" as the time goes on. If ever you have an issue, just talk to them as they have ALWAYS accommodated my needs. They do not have any appointment reminders of any kind. If you are a person struggling with life in general, sometimes managing schedules is an issue. Obviously you have to pay for missed appointments, however, a place that is supposed to help and support people who are struggling should at least use modern technology to help and support with appointment reminders. A simple thing that could help a lot. I moved my adult child to someone who has automated reminders via email and text. read more

This place does not even deserve any type of rating. I chose this place because it was close to my house and I needed to complete 8 alcohol education classes to end my probation. I had my original assessment with Bruce in April. I cost me $130 for a 10 minute conversation, he didn't recommend classes, he seemed to just not want the hassle of adding another person but it was court ordered for me to take them. Starting after the assessment I called Bruce about every two weeks to see if there were any openings to join the class, some days he wouldn't take my call or would have his secretary take my number down but would never call me back. It wasn't until September that I called and he finally gave me days I could come to class. Unfortunately my grandma passed away so I missed the first 4. But I was told I could just come to the next class as soon as I was home. Which I did. Bruce and Stephanie teach the class, Stephanie is really cool and really approachable and easy to talk too. Bruce is just a low grade, napoleon syndrome, four eyed asshole. He looks down upon you if you are in that class and treats you as if you are a huge criminal-alcoholic junkie. His demeanor and attitude are just terrible. I work EMS in Detroit, I had to miss a Monday class due to a mandatory meeting. I had to get out of work early on Tuesday to make it on time to Bruce's stellar class. I show up and from down the hallway as I am approaching the room he is yelling to tell me I can't show up tonight because it is family night, ya know instead of meeting me outside the door like a normal person would do. I told him he never had mentioned that to me and I was unaware of that. I had to get out early again on thursday, I show up and I am told by Bruce I can not attend class because he told me it was a lecture I had already attended. I was again unaware of this since there is no schedule, no print out of lecture names or anything and Bruce's communication skills just suck, bad. So now I won't finishes my classes till Nov 5th. The point is Bruce is lazy, his communication skills are non existent. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If Stephanie and solely Stephanie was running the class, it would be great. But Bruce is a terrible person to go to for this. These programs are supposed to help you succeed, I personally feel like he's only set out to make me fail. I already paid for all these classes so unfortunately I have to go to the last two. I also will just say it, I hate Bruce. I think he is entirely pathetic and needs to find a new career choice. read more

I was sent to the facility by my employer for weed. The owner and the therapist running the program is the same person which is a problem. Bruce the owner/therapist was very passive aggressive. He tells everyone their addictive and that it. They schedule me for a Psychiatrist appointment that I didn't get a reminder call or letter in the mail regarding the appointment. I was there the same day the appointment was schedule they didn't even tell me that day. Later they hit with a $180 missed appointment fee which there was no contact signed. Told me if I don't make the payment I couldn't be released from the program. Which they know I needed to be release to go back to work. Bruce approach is very aggressive in a negative way. I wouldn't recommend this money hungry program to my dog. Due to if there's a problem the owner and therapist is the same person and the best interest will be in his company. Their Psychiatrist evaluated me no more then ten minutes. Then wrote a statement that's affecting my return back to work. I have contact Patients Rights regarding this company and their procedures. read more
