I must admit I have some bias towards the building since I live there. I had lived downtown about 11 years before I bought a place, I was not going to leave downtwon, so was waiting for an acceptable place before I bought something. I was looking forward bigger building with some of the admenties a larger building has. Mainly, some of the admenties that an apartment building has. I order online a fair amount and like having someone at the front door who can accept packages for me. Widmer cleaners stop by our building each workday and you can get a bag from them and put your dry cleaning bag on the outside of your door and 3 days later if will reappear cleanned downstairs. The night personnel will pick it up from your door. Other people I know downtown refer to Park Place as the downtown suburbs, I understand the comparison, being on 5th street it is still in the heart of downtown, but this area is very quiet compared to the rest of downtown. Also you do not have any other condos/apartmetns directly across from your windows. Another great thing about the building is that it is a very social building. Our Condo owners association even has a social committee. I gained another appreciation of this building when I went on vacation this year with some friends of mine who live in a large condo building in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, they had to get friends of their outside their building to take care of their plants, while they were gone.. I was able to get my next door neighbour to do it and if she had not been available, there was other people in my building who I could have asked.

Thus a large percentage of this complex's tenants were slapped with $100 late fees in May and June, 2012. The main office is staffed by students and the management is unhelpful. Best to avoid this one. I recommend that you find another place to live if you are a student at the University of Cincinnati!

I got suckered into signing a lease for this place, and I am getting out of here as soon as my contract is over. My renters' contract is constantly being broken by the management, and I am currently looking at my legal options, in regards to the lease. There are plenty of options for student housing, and I can tell you for a fact that this place is not worth the price. I live on the first floor and the noise outside is terrible. I can barely hear myself think, over the sound of traffic, the constant sound of people walking by, and the loud PERMANENT residents across the street. Someone has tried to break into my apartment through the window several times, and the management did NOTHING after I explained it to them. They say that they have security cameras, but the one near my window isn't even focused on the building (even after they were notified about the threat of a break-in, they never changed the angle of the camera). Other security threats are through the unsecured garage (which they advertise as being gated. It's NOT.) where people have been attacked and mugged. The management has been promising to put a functional gate on the garage, but that was promised months ago, and that still hasn't happened. *Update* They now have a functional gated garage, after months of being broken* If you are stupid enough to even take a look at this place, then send me an email, and I'll schedule a tour of MY suite because it looks NOTHING like the pampered up rooms that they show you on the tour. You're better off finding a house closer to campus on craigslist.com (which is what I did for next school year). I will literally be paying half as much as the suckers staying at Sterling McMillan next year, and my house will be much closer to campus and more conveniently located. I could write a book on the stuff that goes on at Sterling McMillan, but I'll save you the trouble that I have already dealt with through only three words: DON'T STAY HERE!

This review is quite lengthy but if you're considering living in this establishment, take the time…read moreto read it. You'll thank me by the end. I have lived at CPA for 10 months at this point. Upon arrival the apartments were dirty, un-swept, had sticky counter tops, and dirty hall floors. This was extremely different from the tour they gave us which showed a clean unit right around the corner from the lobby that gets cleaned every day. The lobby is the most well-kept area in the building and still would fail health standard expectations. The halls have not been cleaned once since I have been here. Spilled alcohol makes your shoes stick to the floor as you walk, trash has been discarded and left to be trampled in high traffic areas. Baseboard molding is peeling from the walls and left strung along the halls. The pool, that CPA claims is the only student housing pool in Cincinnati, is green and filled with sludge. The grill that is available to the students has been out of propane since the second week here. The wi-fi is similar to dial up and sometimes I would consider saying carrier pigeon is faster. I write this as my power has been out for 32 hours now. A said "billing error" has turned into no power yielding no AC in this hot summer heat, no hot water for showers, all the food in my refrigerator spoiling, and no way to make anything other than a peanut butter sandwich. As if the previously stated wasn't convincing enough, let's not forget the shooting that took place on the fourth floor late one night where a student was shot in the neck, or perhaps the man who was shot in a drive-by down the street and then crashed his Tahoe into the building directly under my window early one Monday morning. Still not convincing? How about the trash rooms. They're usually overflowing my trash because the chute is clogged. That always provides a warm welcoming smell every time you enter from the parking garage. I will hand it to CPA, offering a multi-level parking garage included in the monthly rent is very convenient. But that's all they've got going for them. The garage is cluttered with trash, debris, massive speed bumps that are more like driving over sidewalk curbs, and the garage door does this funny thing where it doesn't work leaving you stranded either inside or out. The surrounding area is extremely rough. There are multiple crack-houses outside my window and a meth-lab usually blows up once a month so at least there's free entertainment included in your monthly rent. Management has changed three times over the course of these 10 months. Honestly it gets a little worse each time new management takes over. Bottom line, living in a cardboard box on the side of I-71 would be safer and more consistent than Campus Park.
