The Riverina Hotel is in Holbrook, NSW in Australia. It is a country hotel/pub with an old feel about it. The bar staff are pleasant and young and chef out the back is an excellent cook (Sri Lankan). We really enjoyed our lunch. The size of the meals was large and flavoursome ... taste before you season! The place was quiet at lunchtime but there were some locals and travellers. There is an outside courtyard for diners as well. Ask the young barman for a " Shandy". He will know now. Oh... it is a schooner of half beer and half lemonade. read more

Great place for an overnight stay. My room had a very comfy double bed & a quiet reverse cycle air conditioner. Rooms are the classic hotel form - sink in each room & bathrooms & toilets down the hall - in my case across the hall. The hotel is on the main street but there was hardly any traffic at night - also the rooms are at the back. Great food in the dining room - yummy pizza but also all the regulars on the menu - steak, chicken, burgers. Of course there's also a good selection of beers on tap. read more

This place is great. If the roosters are playing its guaranteed there will be a lass yelling "go you good thing" towards the tv- she loves a bit of banter. Tell her you go for whoever they are playing against. Bonus points if you wear the jersey to the bar- they give you free beer if you do. Mushroom sauce is the highlight - best in NSW. read more
