Just okay. Make sure you arrive by 10pm otherwise there office is closed and then not sure what happens after that... Room was okay and clean. The floor was sinking in different parts of the room which was weird. The sink was also missing the center piece, so if you dropped anything down there say goodbye. It's okay for a 1 night stay but I wouldn't stay any longer. Also the lock on the doors was flimsy, it was like the lock on a room in my house! Ending on a positive, there is a nice river with a deck in the back you can walk to.

(Review based on 4.5 stars) Stayed here last week with my husband and 2 dogs (We did not have to pay a pet fee. Also although the owner had told me that normally he allows 2 dogs per room, he said he would allow us to have all 3 of my dogs with us in the room, as long as they are well behaved. But my husband & I ended up checking 1 of our dogs into a pethotel because it can be a challenge to travel with 3 dogs for a week). When we checked in, one of the owners greeted us and was very friendly. He was helpful in suggesting a few places to make sure we go check out that is around the area or within a reasonable driving distance from the motel. The room we got comes with 2 queen beds and a kitchette for $71 per night (regardless of week day or weekend. There is also a small discount for weekly rates). What is unique about this room is that there is actually a separate room with a queen bed instead of having 2 queen beds in one room like you would find in hotel room. It is nice that the person staying in that separate room has a little bit more privacy. There is even a small closet in that room as well. The kitchenette came equipped with some pots pans, dishes & utensils, which is nice that you do not have to bring your own. It even came with dishwashing soap (but I brought my own sponge). There was also a mini fridge with a little freezer in the fridge. I was actually pretty happy that my husband wanted a kitchette because there are not too many restaurant choices around the area and honestly, a lot of them do not look really appetizing. My husband and I cooked each night while we were staying (if you forget some things, you can always drive to the Super Walmart, 10 miles away, and buy those items. Or you could also go to the Shady Cove Market that is down the street from this motel). The restroom is a little on the small side, but I have stayed at hotels with smaller restrooms. Our room was cleaned each day and even our dry dishes in the dish rack were put away when we returned to our room. The grounds of this motel is really nice. There is this large grassy quad that is perfect to lounge around (you can also smoke here, as all their rooms are smoke free) and walk your dog to let him/ her relieve him/herself. There is also an area you can walk out to the river. Right around the river area, there is a deck (part of the common area) where you can come out and grill and also lounge around (and yes smoke if you need to). There are actually 3 rooms here that are called the river rooms, in which they have patios that look out to the river. Overall, this motel was a really great place to stay and make our stay in Shady Cove Oregon quite an enjoyable one. If I come back to this area, I would love to stay here again. By the way, this place does offer wifi, but only the rooms closer to the motel office benefit. The other rooms use the telephone line internet. If you do not have the phone lines, the front desk can give you one and also help you set it up if you have issues. Since we stayed in room 12, we were able to use the wifi. But the wifi was rather very slow. So my husband was able to bring his router (I knew about the internet situation ahead of time) and it made the internet in our room a bit faster.

What a cute motel! We already thought from the other Yelp reviews that we would enjoy our stay here, but reality was so much better than the pictures and stories in this instance. The woman whose husband's family owns the place welcomed us warmly and gave us good tips in the neighborhood. The room itself was larger than what we expected and the beds feel nice and firm. The shower was the best part: good spray and nice and clean. The interior was decorated with cute chique. The flowers, especially the roses, are in full bloom in the little park right opposite our room. The decks in the back, and on the river as promised, gave plenty of photo opportunities. A nice, affordable place to lay over or stay a few days.

This is far from a "nice" or "5 star" motel. This is a unique, comfortable, clean, small town rustic place to stay that is situated on the beautiful Rogue River. My family had stayed here off and on over the last 15 years. We have never had a bad stay here. It could definitely use some updating but not a bad place to stay at all, especially for the price. My husband and I decided to finally stay in a river room on our most recent visit to the Royal Coachman. It is such a cozy cute little room with a balcony that over looks the river. If you're in the area for fishing, and want something cozy and clean and affordable without high expectations(such as continental breakfast, room service, pool etc) then this is a great place to stay.

Great atmosphere! Rustic and affordable, this place has a resort feel to it. There's great fishing on the river and the river rooms are awesome! The motel is old but clean and well cared for. The owners are some of the nicest people I've met in southern Oregon and are always willing to accommodate. After reading some of the reviews on here, I have to say that if you have had any problems there, you surely brought them with you! These folks have worked hard to keep the rif-raf away and it shows. Of all the motels in the area, this place is the coziest!!

Rustic. Clean. This is an old hotel that serves a good purpose. 3 separate buildings; the first set is the standard strip of rooms priced under 50 dollars. the asphalt runs out and there is a set of 4 rooms in building 2. I was in building 3 that has 3 rooms and a deck facing the river. At a slightly higher price (under 90) if you want ambiance, buy these. Now, as far as I could tell, every room is mostly different. Mine had a wonderful bed; small but soft pillows. a "low" sofa, small but practical bathroom area. No extra chairs or places to set your gear on. The room next door has a kitchenette. The deck could have used an extra chair and small drink table. Some in our group complained of small showers, mine was a tub combo. There is a public deck to the right of this building set that has a BBQ for use on it. You can mostly see all the decks from the others, so privacy is out. Wifi was mostly unuseable, but wired internet is available in rooms, bring a cable for the latop

Very overdue review: We stayed here this past summer and had such a great impression of the place - The fact that I still remember that we wanted to share our experience 6 months later is a testament to how great it was! The room was spotless, very comfortable, and even had little amenities like packaged soaps and shampoos, which was way more than I was expecting given the very affordable price. It's a bit of a drive from Crater Lake if you're coming to visit that, but definitely worth it over the expensive, isolated hotels closer to the lake (which were all swarming with mosquitos!). To top everything off, we had some car trouble the morning we were supposed to leave and the owners were so nice and helpful throughout the entire stressful experience. They let us wait in our room as long as they could let us after our checkout time while roadside assistance came and told us we were welcome to snack on the cherries from their beautiful cherry tree they had out front. What ended up saving us was the fact that they're very conveniently right next to an auto parts store which had exactly the tools we needed (very long story, but roadside assistance didn't end up helping). Highly recommend!

Happy to see a comfortable sized bedroom & bathroom. We're always happy to see no carpeting. smoking nor pets. Enjoyed the organic bath products. We heard the lull of traffic noise, but it wasn't bad, surely not city noise. There were not car alarms, noisy motorcycles nor the slamming of car doors. Our only issue was the lighting, our room felt very dark. The back windows looked out on a trailer park and the front out onto the road and parking lot, so we couldn't open the blinds.

MOLDY ! NON SAFE FOR FAMILIES, ELDERLY, DISABLED! DIRTY!…read more Do you love the "vibe" of a Motel 6... but wish you could pay a couple hundred more for it? Then The Logic Riverside might be exactly what you're looking for. Do you enjoy driving 15 hours straight to end up at a moldy smelling, blood stained sheets, motel 6 vibe hotel? The photos online promised fresh, modern, and welcoming. The reality? Dingy, musty, and crusty. The second we opened the door, we were hit with a mold smell so strong it could've had its own zip code. The carpet was dirty and lumpy, the ceiling sagged like it was giving up, and the patio hadn't been touched in ages--covered in spiderwebs and so slippery (not safe for disabled, elderly, pregnant women, kids, or anyone). Housekeeping? Could be better. Toilet paper roll half-used, dust everywhere, pubes in the tub (yes, really), mold around the shower and stained comforters that looked like a black-mold art project. Nothing says "welcome" like wondering if your sheets are contagious. And the surroundings... let's just say there's a full-on homeless camp right next door. The vibe outside makes you want to lock your car doors every ten seconds, and definitely doesn't scream "safe family getaway." We told the front desk, and while they were nice, offered for us to talk to management. The solutions were laughable: switch to another musty room or take a "discount next time." Next time?! As if anyone is lining up for round two. The only halfway-decent part of the place is the lobby, which lures you in before the bait-and-switch. For the price they charge, this is absolutely not worth it. If you're spending good money and actually care about clean, safe, decent accommodations--skip this place. Unless, of course, you're into mold, mystery stains, and locking your doors on repeat. *EDIT: Response to Evelyn To clarify, I did speak directly with the manager and the only solution offered was a "discount on a future visit." Given the condition of the room and the health/safety concerns I experienced, I did not feel that was an appropriate resolution. The photos I provided were taken in the room I was assigned, and accurately reflect the conditions.

He gave us a ton of helpful advice, including where to shop for groceries (across the street), where to eat (El Arriero), and what to see at Crater Lake. The beds are good. I slept through the night. And the place is quiet. Now for the bad. The light switch lacks a cover plate. Kids can easily stick their fingers into it and get seriously injured. There was no conditioner in the dispenser in the shower. The floor has a screw popping through it which is quite painful when walking on it with bare or shoeless feet. The floors were extremely dirty. Everyone's socks came out coal black when walking on it. And being from Kentucky, I mean coal black. I'm going to have to bleach the heck out of these socks or simply toss them. You have to Swiffer these floors. And, lastly, it has a lot of ants. Now, it's been raining a lot and I get ants at home too, but here's the thing: I dropped well over two "C" notes to stay here. That's more than I spent at the Best Western Plus in Salem, which was like the Taj Mahal in comparison. The value is simply not here. I'd seek other alternatives.
