I purchased 2 10" hand thrown, and hand painted ceramic dishes fully painted with the Aztec calendar in the flat, center portion of the dish. These are incredibly complex and detailed art pieces, that are made about 4 days drive from tijuana by the Aztec indians. The perfection in the detailed painting of the calendars is very impressive. I bought a large one years ago, they make great colorful and decorative hangings / conversation pieces, for less $$ than a 12 pack of Tecate!

I was so excited for this experience finally I get to know more about my culture! I got to learn from one of their Mezcal brands Espino and the types of mezcales, with what food to combine them and learn how to distinguish the flavors! In case you want to know more about Mezcal, the origins and how to drink it this is definitely the place to stop by, they do group tastings so I totally recommend to visit to try more of the Oaxacan culture that is truly beautiful.
