Today I'm writing a review because I'm tired of trying to cook something but the produce is so bad that you can't cook it. This time the Gailan (Chinese broccoli) had black dots and spotty mold all over the leaves. Yes, the receipt says refund in 24 hours, but people don't usually cook the same day and in this case it was 36 hours. I called the manager and she says it hot these day..it certainly is but I keep my produce in the fridge; I'm not living in the stone ages. They package their vegetables so you can't really see the quality of the vegetables and they knowingly package rotting vegetables to make a quick buck. Seriously. I can go into that store right now and show the owner rotting vegetables they are selling. My purchase was $6, and for this amount the manager refuses to offer refund or credit. I gave the manager an opportunity to resolve and apparently customer service really doesn't exist at this store. My only recourse is to write this review. My suggestion to anyone shopping there is to rip open the packed bag and inspect the produce before you buy it. If the store happens to respond, I'm sure they will say the vegetables rotted or under my care. If the produce was already rotting when sold (i.e., unfit for human consumption), selling spoiled food can be considered a breach of implied warranty or a deceptive trade practice under California consumer laws, regardless of a store's 24-hour rule.

They have a hot buffet so you can try up to 20 different items for a by the pound price. The Gindaco counter in the food section has takyoyaki (fried octopus balls) which are popular here. I can't tell if he has anger management issues or feels inadequate, but if he's going to treat customers like that, he should just stay inside and cut meat!
