We hired Junk Majesty again to come remove bamboo from our house. A few days later, I went to work…read moreon a garden project and noticed they did not actually remove all the bamboo trimming; instead, they stuffed a bunch of it UNDER our house. Listen, if this work was too much, be honest about it. Instead, they have created more work for us and created a haven for termites and other critters on our property. We reached out to Junk Majesty to address this lazy, irresponsible work, but they are instead ignoring our calls and text messages. Originally, the owner told us he would come take care of the issue, but now he is leaving us on read. This is terrible customer service. Very disappointing because they were great before.

After doing extensive research & checking with several junk disposal places, I got a personal quote…read morefrom the owner of Junkluggers who met me at the property. He quoted a price immediately and it outbid every other business so I hired them. This was a legal EVICTION of a WAREHOUSE with OFFICES, a KITCHEN & 1.5 BATHROOMS. It involved a Judge with court appearances & a Jefferson Parish Constable who was onsite for the entire eviction. Junkluggers showed up on time with 3 huge dump trucks (5 in total) & several very strong men to move extremely heavy and bulky items. They were able to do the job in half of the time that I anticipated. Another plus about Junkluggers was that they carefully separated what was junk/trash from the nice items that the evicted tenants left behind that could be donated or recycled. Junkluggers went above and beyond what we anticipated and did additional work that they did not charge us for. We were very impressed and couldn't be more pleased with the price quoted. We will never use another company again.

(Ultimately it worked out great because I got a fabulous price from Junk Luggers that day.) Dump Dawgs will be out of business within the year.

On the west side of David Drive, between Airline Highway and Metairie Rd, you pull in the entrance, there is a shack just inside the gates, tell the person what you are there for and make your way in. In the middle is a raised platform to be able to drop appliances into the large bins (like dumpsters for construction sites), which makes unloading easy. On the edges are spots for fluids like oil, brake fluid and the like. In a corner is a dumpster for recycling of household goods. There was someone there the day I went to help unload the vehicle, which was good as I just moved and had a lot of packing materials to recycle. It was free to drop off household items, I am not sure if there is a charge for larger items. You then exit on to David drive, so it is a loop that you go through. Mondays are the only days they are closed. I wish I had known about this before now. This is amazing! I am in heaven. Other places are only open one Saturday a month, or on weekdays that are not raining. Insanity. And the place I am currently living (an apartment building) does not offer recycling, so it is nice that I know of more options in the area.
