The grass has sprinklers which were left in to keep the turf looking great in the summer. Our dog Molly loves it! Iain and his team were wonderful. We had emailed ahead to ask about quantities and prices for a large number of bushes. There was a…read morepleasant exchange via email, and they offered to have the plants ready for pick up, as we were coming from out of town. When we got there, they had pulled 32 of the 44 bushes we were after, but there was a mix up and some of them weren't what we had in mind. The woman got quite frustrated and said that fine, we can put them all away and then she stormed off. We felt badly that they had gone to the trouble and because we wanted to look for replacements it wasn't too much trouble to put the three cart loads of bushes back neatly in place. We got our first cart load of bushes and put them back in the same area which appeared to be set aside for carts. Another woman came up on a tractor and snapped that was an area only for paid merchandise only. We asked if we could put the cart on the opposite side and she said fine and then we preceded to look around. We got excited when we found another variety that said full sun to part shade. The woman from the tractor snapped that this variety too was shade only. And then greeted another couple warmly and asked them if they needed anything at all. She never asked us this. We continued looking and after a long walk around the nursery we couldn't find what we were looking for including the other 12 plants we preordered that nobody had offered to help us find. We decided to give up and my spouse went to pay for the 12 we landed on, a small fraction of what we intended on. I went to wait in the truck as it had become a bit of a infuriating and very disheartening experience and I just wanted to go very badly. Then the original woman who had stormed off became quite apologetic to my spouse and said she was just joking which she was certainly not. At that point she had talked my spouse into buying 5 of the 12 plants we needed. She was certain that was what we had agreed on, and he said she had the email up. He came over to the truck to confirm. I was very tired at this point and became very confused and decide to get the original email up myself on the phone and it was in fact 12 to fill the space we were hoping to fill. She then became ultra helpful, which at this point felt very disingenuous. In the end we did find the plants that we had travelled to purchase. Nurseries are one of my very happy places, but unfortunately, I will NEVER return to this one.
