I'm happy he did because the five different bars I purchased (mint; coffee; cranberry & sea salt; classic; pumpkin spice) all had complex and delicious flavour profiles -- which must be indicative of using fresh local ingredients in small batches. I've had my fair share of chocolates but this place exceeded my expectations…read more I highly recommend the rosemary and thyme milk chocolate with habanero oil and also the strawberry chocolate heart. Both are out of this world. I had the pleasure of being served by the owner who was very knowledgeable and knew the ingredients of each chocolate. She also gave me samples when I wasn't sure if I wanted to splurge on a $14 bar of chocolate. The place is pricey, which is to be expected, but I found the individual chocolates quite reasonable. You can buy as many or as few as you want with different packaging options. It will be hard to stay away from this place! Save yourself while you can!

It's surprising what passes for chocolate. If there was a reference point, H&H should be it…read more Whenever I stop in Saskatoon, a trip to H&H is mandatory. What is there not to like about chocolate so fresh it makes everything else including Laura Secord and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory taste like brown crayons? It's true: the fillings in H&H chocolates are made with fresh cream and butter with no preservatives, so the shelf life is maybe a couple of weeks. I love to stop in the factory on 2nd Ave north to pick out a big bag full of my favourites, passing on the ones I don't like-a custom blend if there ever was one! On problem is that every summer the factory closes for a few weeks and I can't get my fix. They put a sign on the door listing a bunch of retailers, so I made the mistake of picking up a small box of 4 chocolates at a retail outlet in the Scotia Center. They were old, with white blotches and tasted like--WAX! It would be better if they simply left me without my fix rather than ruining a perfect 5 star rating for retail wax crap. I recommend H&H, but if you can't buy them fresh at the factory on Second Ave, don't touch them at all. Fallback: Purdy's Sweet Georgia Browns!

Instead I received a dark poop brown cake that in no was resembled a whoopee cushion. The flange looked more like an anus and the crimping was at the bottom instead of the middle. you could hardly see the lettering because it was nearly the same color as the background. owner stated that he made exactly how the picture was that I sent him and he didn't know I wanted it to be pink. did not offer to rectify the situation either. 40 is a milestone birthday and should be celebrated with a bomb cake, instead we got a brown blob that I could have made myself for far less. good cake costs good money, but in this case I paid a high price for a subpar product and I will not be back.
