I would categorize this more like an air bnb since there was no front desk concierge or turn down service and you are given a keycode access at check in time. The room/space was adorable with a full kitchen, bathroom, and good amount of seating (think well designed studio apartment). There is a coffee shop located in the main floor below the hotel and also- Red Bench is like 3 doors down. Highly recommend for guests when they come into town or a Lil' getaway for a couple or small family!

If I could give a suggestion for improvement it would be this, a private bathroom for handicap patrons. My parents had to leave early due to an issue and a private bathroom with wheelchair accessibility would have been helpful for a caregiver and her spouse. My room was very clean, the main area was impeccable and the pool area was very nice. I was very impressed with everything. The staff - from the front desk to the maids - were friendly and helpful. I had 5 kids with me so if you were going to get crabby with a guest - it should've been me. One kid spilled an entire glass of apple juice everywhere ... then knocked ALL the utensils on the floor at breakfast (like 100 spoons, etc). The girl working the front desk was also manning the breakfast area, and she just pleasantly helped me clean it up with no issue. I will definitely stay in this location again.

When we arrived it was later in the evening around 10:30. Came in with a large group of kids and was told the pool was open until midnight. We suited up and hopped in the pool (heated). It was a little after 11 and we were the only ones in the pool. An employee came in and told us that the pool was closed to kids at 11 and if anyone came in to pack up and leave right away. The reason this was an issue was we were already told we could swim and the employee had an extremely rude attitude. If we had known that kids could not swim after 11 we wouldn't have even bothered using the pool facilities.

I think it needs a good cleaning or something with the filter. Our suits did have a weird smell so I soaked them when we got home. Hopefully they'll be ok. We did appreciate the bottle of water we got at check in. Thank you. As for breakfast there was no where to sit so we decided not to stay. That was a bummer. We come over to Menomonie often so we'll see.

The good: Nice looking rooms, very nice showers with large soap and tiny bottles. Windows that open. Friendly housekeeping staff. The not so good: Tough beds that are hard, with small pillows, and thin bedding. Small beds - the Queen room had full sized beds. We waited for quite a bit to check in. The breakfast was just ok with ham and what tasted like powdered eggs. The pool looked ok, but like most hotels with rooms overlooking the pool, the whole property smelled like pool. I would stay again if I needed to be right here and couldn't find a HI Express near by.

Horrible experience here…read more.. Staying with my partner and 2 kids. Stayed here for the last night of our mini vacation. We reserved the outdoor adventure room for 1 night (large bed for us, a loft bunk bed with couch pull out bed for the kids.). We had called twice to confirm reservation and were reassured reservation was confirmed and told no confirmation number would be needed both times. We arrive and they take us to a room and it's a king jacuzzi suite...1 king bed and nothing for the kids...we go back to front desk and are given new keys to the room we had reserved and go to the adventure room. We get to the adventure room and it hasn't been cleaned at all... dirty sheets, unmade beds, dirty towels all over bathroom, trash cans full and trash on tables. We go back to front desk. Again she apologizes and tells us there are no other clean rooms and no one there to clean any...so we HAVE to use the king suite and she gives us a cot for 1 of the kids (the younger slept with us in the king bed). She did at least comp the room. We go back to the king suite and find a toilet seat that is very old to the point that it's peeling off the upper layers and just looks overall unappealing. There is also a massive turd floating in the toilet. Again we go to the front desk and again apologies and the promise that management will hear how poorly housekeeping has been performing. During the night our toilet overflows and soaks the items that were in the bathroom. When we get up and let the gentleman working front desk know the newest update, we get the usual... I will say that both people we spoke with were very nice and did the best you could really expect considering the circumstances/issues. The kids enjoyed the pool area as well but there was very limited seating around the pool with more than 1 family being there at once. It was also a bit concerning that there was a broken window around the pool area that was taped Extremely disappointing end to our vacation. Would not recommend to anyone. We will never be back.
