I spent a few hours recording one of my songs here with an engineer named Roy and had a great experience! The staff was friendly and laid back while still maintaining a respectful air of professionalism. When I had questions they were answered concisely, and my options laid out comprehensively. I thought the studio itself was very nice and the room sounded good. There were plenty of mics and preamps to choose from, and a lot of great vintage gear too. To summarize my opinion of river city studios as somebody who's worked in the industry as an audio engineer and a studio musician, these guys know their stuff, get the job done for a fair price, and above all they make the session a fun one. When arriving to River City Studios. I arrived to a whole new world of creativity. It was like flying through the sky on the back of an eagle. Just like Lord of the rings. I then walked in to a studio A to which I was greeted with a state of the art studio. This studio is like 2000 years ahead of there time. Then the staff, the staff were so helpful and so kind. I've been recording lines for a show here for two years. When I moved back to Grand Rapids I was nervous about how I would be able to continue voicing my character. The company I work for found River City Studios and it's been a great experience. I walk in, they're ready, I do my work, done. They're very friendly and have helped me get more VO work as well. Would recommend for commercials and voice over for sure and they also make jingles from scratch (I have not recorded music here so I can't say anything about that aspect). read more

I recorded a demo here and it is the best studio in Grand Rapids ,Hands down. All the engineers there made my songs sound incredible.
