Reasons why Rivareno is THE spot: 1. Serves homemade Italian-style gelato ice cream, freshly made every day 2. Has at least 10 vegan options that are just not fruit sorbets (this is what spoiled looks like); highly recommend the pistachio and the hazelnut 3. Vegan waffle cones! 4. Located in front Llotja square with palm trees for shade 5. Open until 1am for y'all late-night partiers in La Lonja 6. Pistachio! Hazelnut! Because that deserves a repeat.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST GELATO!! This is a chain in Italy and this is their first international location. It is family run and everything is made fresh every day. They have a small "laboratory" next door where they make the gelato. They have most of the typical gelato flavors and some specialty flavors as well. My favorite flavors were the bacio, pistachio, chocolate, and contessa. If you get a cone, they fill the cone with chocolate or white chocolate that hardens at the bottom of the cone after thy add the gelato.

It was a rather warm day in Palma Mallorca and since hubby and I weren't particularly hungry, we opted to skip lunch and just get gelato. I found Rivareno with the help of Yelp. I picked 2 flavors with the first one being Bachio (chocolate & hazelnut with whole toasted hazelnuts). There really was a lot of hazelnut pieces. So delicious and I loved the crunch. For the second flavor I picked Crema Fiorentina (custard cream w/honey and essence of lemon and orange peel). Super creamy and mild in flavor. Good but I loved the Bachio a lot more since the flavors were more intense. The gelato is made fresh on site and it's obvious from the flavor and texture that they use premium ingredients. Big thumbs up!

Great little gelato and coffee shop in Palma de Mallorca. The staff is friendly and both the gelato and coffee are amazing. We probably back here 3-4 times in the four days we were here.

Best Icecream in Mallorca. Very close to Italian Ice Cream in Italy. Only natural ingridients is a big plus. Friendly staff.

Amazing gelato, very fresh and authentic. I was over the moon when I saw my favorite flavor - Fiore di Latte in the case. Thought I could only find that in Italy! Also had a chance to meet the owner, what a fantastic guy. This place is a real gem.

Amazing non-dairy chocolate and strawberry sorbet.

AMAZING sorbet!!! Loved the chocolate and strawberry together. Also loved the large selection of dairy gelato and non dairy sorbet- not only chocolate and strawberry as mentioned, but also fig, coconut, lemon, kiwi and more. Great for vegans! Wonderful quality, you can taste the natural ingredients- and super smooth! So happy I stumbled on this place. Perfect location in my opinion- slightly out of the way of the busy tourist area, but not too far. Will be back next time!

This location had the BEST bread we have ever tasted! It was flaky and just enough sweetness. We…read moredid a local tour and stopped there for a snack as a group. The server brought us plenty of bread and even took some with us. He was absolutely friendly and kind. Loved this place!

When we first arrived, we had to wait in line for about 30 minutes, which is typical (no problem at all). We knew what we wanted and ordered right away. We of course got the Ensaimada, apricot ice cream, two iced coffees (it was so hot, so we got iced, (I know what you're thinking, silly Americans)). If I could go back, I would get an espresso or cappuccino because I think it would have paired much better with the pastries. I also asked the server if he had any personal favorites he would recommend, and he brought us a Cuarto (sponge cake). This was not very good in my opinion. It was basically flavorless and very eggy. The Ensaimada was delicious! More oily than I expected, but still very good. I also loved the apricot Ice Cream! As to the service, when we were seated, our server was very dismissive and inattentive. We did not have silverware at our table. No problem. Figured it would be given to us once we got our order. Nope. After we got our food, our server ran away and never came back to us, so I never had the chance to ask for any silverware. Had to eat everything by hand. Thankfully the ice cream came with a spoon. The inside is not huge, and we were seated in a small table tucked away in the corner. Maybe that's why our server basically forgot about us. One tip is that when you're finished and ready to leave, you go to the counter to pay. The server will not come back and hand you your check (at least that's how it worked for us). I could tell there were a lot of locals and Spanish-speaking patrons, so if you're American or don't speak Spanish, don't expect them to be the most friendly. I dont take that too personally, just want to let other people coming here to know what to expect. Overall, I would come here again and recommend it to anyone coming to visit Mallorca.

Staff is very nice, the store is right off the beach in Palma. Sun + Gelato - what else can a girl ask for?

"50 Shades of Gelato" A short story by Lindsay L…read more It was a exceptionally warm Autumn day and I was in the mood for a something sweet. I knew I had to have it and I wanted it all. Gelato. So creamy, so sweet, so delicious. I slowly walked over to the case, the sun warming up the left side of my face. As I locked my gaze towards the cabinet, I knew this would the ultimate pleasure and yet, leave me completely devastated. After holding my gaze so intently for what seemed to go on forever, I looked up and said, "I'd like a scoop of mentha, please". Immediately I knew that I had chosen the wrong one. What was Coco going to think about me? Would mango ever forgive me? Raspberry, Oh raspberry. I couldn't do it, I couldn't only have one. I needed more. I had to have more. I looked up slyly with the glimmer in my eye and I said, "I'll take 'em all. One of each and every delicious scoop". The attendant gasped and stared, as if I had just told her a deep, dark secret. She asked me "Are you sure?". I then replied, "Yes, it's only because I have to. You don't understand." I took my 50 Shades of Gelato and we rode off into the sun together, our lips locked tight into one another. I had wished that this moment would never end. As the last little bit of gelato turned into liquid resting against my 99.1 degree Fahrenheit (37.3 degree Celsius) tongue, I knew this bliss had come to an end. I only hope that we meet again. Gelato, you are my one and only true love. Ok, ok. Only half of that is true. Everything except for eating one scoop of all 50 flavours. I only had 2, but don't you worry because I will be back for more!
