We stopped in Rite Aid for a quick stop to check for one item we couldn't find anywhere else because of the Great Covid-19 Pillage. I was greeted as I entered which is nice. Store, inventory and cleanliness is average 3/5. I found a person stocking in one row and asked for my item. She had it on a cart in the next row. It was great finding it. Check out was quick and painless. I think it was the manager who opened a register because the woman in front of me had a number of items. I really appreciate her going the extra mile to do this. Service is 5 stars. Service really makes a huge difference. I hope companies understand this. I would definitely go back again if I needed something. Rite Aid was never my first choice but it's definitely worth checking out again. read more

The pharmacists ARE NEVER EVER on time. Don't waste your time being there at 7am on the weekdays or at 8am on the weekends, sometimes the pharmacists take more than half an hour after they are supposed to be open to open the pharmacy. They also, sometimes, even give you the wrong prescription. read more

Good luck getting your medication if you send your prescription to this place, they take forever to fill them. Sometimes I call a day or two, even THREE days after and my meds still aren't ready yet. There have been times I was told my medicine was ready only to drive a half hour to this store and be told my medication "is being worked on". Their phones are also a nightmare, I call to check the status of something and I have to do it many times because nobody answers or the call hangs up inexplicably. Then I have to sit through their garbage recordings and a tech tells me I don't have to call asking about my medication. Sorry for inconveniencing you people with my question, I'm an injured vet in pain and need my pills. There's no empathy here and I highly suggest going elsewhere. read more

I wish I could give zero or even negative starts. This pharmacy is THE WORST in the universe. Customer service is terrible and they DO NOT care about you. It takes forever to fill the meds and they do not let you know in advance. No communication skills. If you have a choice of other pharmacy, go elsewhere. Love this place. It is a bit on the pricey side, however, I like Rite Aid. Great ice cream. The pharmacy isn't all that fantastic though...the wait time is too long. Lots of panhandlers like to hang out by the entrance. read more

Who says the Imperial Valley has bad customer service? I used to go here often when I lived down the street. It's always clean. It's always well stocked with polite staff. The best damn ice cream right here! I remember back in the day when it was Thrifty's (I believe). Much can be improved upon for quite a few staff that I have come across that work there. This is my last time going to rite aid. For some unknown reason they did not want to fill a prescription. This was the third time it happened to me. They evidently have enough customers that by losing one is no big deal. They dont seem to understand that I'm going to tell others and they in turn will tell others. Their customer service is awful. If you really need your prescription filled, go some where else. My physician called a prescription in. After a week, I went to pick it up. It wasn't ready yet. This past week I called for a refill on a prescription that has several refills left. On the 3rd day, I went to pick it up. I was told they were just now going to fill it. I went back at the same time the next day. Believe it or not, the clerk told me the pharmacist was just going to fill it. I'm, now, guessing that must be their new standard line when patients come to get their prescriptions. I called this past Monday to get a refill that needed a call to my doctor to be authorized. Today, on Friday, at 4:45 PM, I called to see if it was ready. I was told that my doctor hasn't called back yet. I immediately called my doctor's office before they close for the weekend and I have to wait another few days to get the medication. The office staff were going to immediately call the pharmacy to authorize the prescription. It will be interesting to see what I am told when I go to pick it up.... maybe that my doctor hasn't called back yet??? I wonder how long before the pharmacy staff would think about placing a second call to the physician's office. If you really are not in a hurry to get medication and you do not get frustrated by getting the run around and you have plenty of time to spend calling and going to the pharmacy to check on prescriptions, Rite Aid in El Centro is the pharmacy for you. If I could give this pharmacy a zero rating I would! I have been there a handful of times for prescriptions and every time it is a worse experience than the previous time. There is always a long line both in the drop off and pick up. When you wait they never call your name. Waited 45 min the got in line and that took another 15 minutes and the prescription was ready. It took me 1.5 hours to get a prescription. This recent visit I called ahead at 9:00 am to check on a prescription the doctor called in the day before. The phone just rang and rang and went into the loop to talk to a pharmist twice. Now I'll have to go there and wait for what is an unacceptable amount of time to get this prescription. In all my experiences with pharmacys I have never had such difficulty in obtaining my meds. The most frustrating part is these employees don't even care how inconvient they are making it for their customers. Ugh, very bad service. read more
