So I decided to try this salon for the first time because I saw a groupon for balayage for $80. The salon had good reviews so I thought I would give them a chance. When I was given a consultation I was advised to get color correction because my hair was 4 different shades. When she added a few high lights in The front they were orange. I spent 5 hours and double the amount what I anticipated paying and left unsatisfied. I came back the following day 30 mins before they were closing expressing I need this fixed before Tuesday because I have a job interview, I was told by the owner she wouldn't fix it today because she was closing the drawer and Monday they are closed. No, I'll see what I can do, because I want my customer to leave happy with their experience at my salon. Definitely will not return here!!!! read more

I contacted Rita Marie for a Brazilian Straightening and she took me right away. I used the Groupon coupon and paid $121 which is very reasonable. I couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. My hair is bright, straight and shiny. It is a long process, so be prepared to spend some time in the chair. Very nice, cozy and pretty salon. I liked the size and more personal service vs. loud factory-type places, so this place is perfect for those that want a more peaceful experience. I better write a review now before I forget!! So I am going on vacation on Friday and I needed to fix my frizzy hair! I decided to go on Groupon and find a Keratin or something similar. This place appears. I am told over the phone that it is a Brazilian Blowout. That it may lighten my hair some and remove frizz. Perfect because I did a perm on my hair last April that turned ugly. Ruined my hair. So here I am scared to do this because I really just miss my normal, natural hair. The process was way longer than I expected. A paper I signed said 80 minutes total so I half expected under 2 hours. We started at almost 1pm and I was out at almost 4pm. My hair is not that damaged and not that long. Lulu was so fun and sweet! I loved her personality. So it's, get hair washed by what I assume is a clarifying shampoo. Put product in and comb through strand by strand. Blow dry. Flat iron. Wash with Brazilian bond. Blow dry and flat iron AGAIN. I was told not to wash for 24 hours. I was also recommended to buy their products. I'll admit,'I was expecting to pay probably $60-70 in total for the shampoo, conditioner, smoothing serum and spray. I paid $113. I didn't want to be a prude about it so I took the stuff. It's fine. Helping a business is always something positive for me. That's fine. I sure hope the products maintain my hair smooth and frizz free. I was given something that will help when I go in the pool. Looking forward to my hair being renewed for 12 weeks if not longer. 3/5 stars because I really really loved Rita and Lulu. Also because they didn't treat me like crap being a Groupon voucher holder. I will definitely come back. Been looking for a hair stylist I can ieeong I removed 2 stars because the process took a bit too long although I'm not upset about it at all and also because the products were really expensive. eBay has them for half the price if you look and you just have to make sure you check if the products are genuine so be careful. Finally, also removed 2 stars because I have yet to see how my hair looks after my 1st wash. Once I do that, I will review again. UPDATE ON 5/14/19 Didn't like the Brazilian. It just controls frizz. Nothing more. The Keratin Treatment controls frizz, straightens the hair and you can use any sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. I wouldn't pay to do this again. It was all to expensive especially the products to maintain the hair. I appre Update: 7/27/19 I'm confused as to why you're being so rude. I actually loved you and Lulu, Rita. I personally just was not a fan of the Brazilian treatment and the price I paid for the products. That's an opinion but I was never cruel about it. I was simple and honest on my own experience. I guess I can see that anything that is not 100% positive is a problem. I've done a Keratin treatment in the past and upon comparing the two, for sure the Keratin lasted me 6 months if not more and I used sulfate-free products. No worries on me returning. I said that I used it when I did the Keratin treatment years before. And I didn't have an hour consultation with Lulu. Went in for simple gray highlights in the back of my never dyed hair to match the gray in front. Was very specific on not touching my grays. I wanted more not less. Well the staff made my entire head brown and all my grays yellow. Rita tried to fix it by bringing my gray back and bleaching my hair which turned my gray hair (now yellow) super blonde. Then to fix that she dyed it chestnut. 7 hours later I left with brown hair. No gray, no black. I went in looking for a little oomph to my gray hair and came out looking like I had dyed my hair at home. Red on top where all the bleach was applied and my hair had been completely gray and black. It is going to take me years to undo this mess and grow out my grays. read more
