We were here for one night during an educational course. It is a smaller hotel in Larvik which is…read morenot easy to rate as the hotel is average, but the included restaurant is very good. Hotel: Older building, definitely needs an update. Signs of wear and tear were most obvious in the bathroom. Room doesn't heat well but that's to be expected deep in Norway. Expect to wear sweatpants in bed. Several accommodations were missing, e.g. a gym. Staff however is very friendly. Very new, well-serviced elevators. Restaurant: A surprisingly good restaurant was included which offered a very extensive selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals were included with our course and were definitely beyond the scope of what I would have expected for this hotel. Again, staff and servers were very polite and efficient. If you are primarily looking for a hotel to stay, the Spa Hotel close-by might be a better choice. But if you're booking this place for a course with meals included, it is a good choice.

Wish the staff would pay more attention in clearing the customers queueing up infront of her than constant chatting with another ex-staff. They were very kind and helpful. But the hotel is nothing special. There are two areas that are beautiful-- the original part of the building. This would be the dining area and a ballroom. Other than that, it's a strange modern design. Location is excellent. Breakfast was excellent. But our room was tiny. So tiny that we could barely open our suitcase on the floor. We stayed at a different hotel a few days later, and we would return to that one if we're ever back in town. Generally, this hotel wasn't a relaxing place to stay. Again, the staff is very kind!
