Hotel: Older building, definitely needs an update. Signs of wear and tear were most obvious in the bathroom. Room doesn't heat well but that's to be expected deep in Norway. Expect to wear sweatpants in bed. Several accommodations were missing, e.g. a gym. Staff however is very friendly. Very new, well-serviced elevators. Restaurant: A surprisingly good restaurant was included which offered a very extensive selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals were included with our course and were definitely beyond the scope of what I would have expected for this hotel. Again, staff and servers were very polite and efficient. If you are primarily looking for a hotel to stay, the Spa Hotel close-by might be a better choice. But if you're booking this place for a course with meals included, it is a good choice.

A wonderful location by the harbour, a very classy, luxury interior style, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious food in the buffee!! The groundfloor in the hotel takes you years back, and offers pub, bowling, cinema, spa, playroom, table in the wine basement or in the theatre diningroom! The sitting area makes working from the room more practical and a glass of wine at night with those views doesn't hurt either. Beds and duvets are of high quality, and will keep you warm and snuggly even through a cold Norwegian night. The breakfast is quite a spread, however, not being much of a breakfast eater, I only wish it was lunch instead :-) I made frequent use of the gym and pool, a great addition! This hotel is great value.
