If you are striving for Greek food in Hannover the Meteora is as good as it can get!…read more Great friendly and lively service, nice lively athmosphere and next to the dishes one would expect when considering a Greek restaurant, you can order so called Mezedes which are the Greek version of the Spanish tapas principle. The special clue about the whole place: Beside the authentic and welcoming athmosphere, the 100 % organic food that surely makes the difference. Everything from the giros to the steaks, the lamb chops to the suflaki or suzuki/bifteki is cooked to the point and the food here, although it is a bit more expensive than other Greek places, has never disappointed me. Normally one does not mention the toilets when reviewing a nice restaurant, but the disco toilets with the mirror balls, the disco lights and 70s/80s disco classics surely are a surprising little event worth a mention. Make sure you don't forget the reservation when planning to go because it is not a secret spot anymore.

All their offerings, from their appetizer plates with dips and fresh veggies, to their rice and breads that were complimentary to the other foods to their meats, they did not take any shortcuts. They explained the dishes well, they checked up on a timely manner and they delivered the food to table in an efficient timeframe given the circumstances. In terms of the nose levels, we were a table of 5 and had a way time conversing amongst each other even though the place on the top floor had about 80 people dining.

Our 2nd night in Hanover found us at Restaurant Anesis for dinner. I liked this place much more…read morethan Restaurant Basil the previous night. A more relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the covered patio & watched as drivers scoured for any possible parking spot. Boy, is parking at a premium or what!!! But, back to dinner. Had the Australian rum steak, a sirloin type cut. It was OK, came with fries and beans. Our appetizer tray, can't even describe the 5-6 items on it. Something about Greek Fish & eggs, an orange cheese that had a very strong taste to it, Tuna Fish - hey, I knew what to expect with that. Dinner came with a small salad bar, one of the few I saw while in Hanover which was nice. I could sit on their patio and wine and dine all night long. Very relaxing & very good service.
