Please do yourself a favor and find another Chiropractor!…read more Not only do they charge your insurance twice for one adjustment, but they also can't read their own x-rays, so they send them to another Chiro in IA to read them who charges $24 a pop! And to add insult to injury, that Chiro wasn't covered under our insurance! So we got a surprise bill for 3 readings for x-rays that you would expect your DR. would be able to read themselves! AND... I've never been to a more UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL office full of employees. They have a large open room where they do their "physical therapy" where all the women don't talk to the patients, but each other. And what do they talk about? OTHER PATIENTS. And their private lives! AND... the topping on the cake? The massage therapist expects tips - and NO, ther isn't a sign expressing that tips are appreciated, nor does anyone in the office tell you that. I don't know about other "doctor's offices" but I've NEVER been to one that expects tips for doing their treatment! If you are a massage therapist, and expect tips, then get a job at a massage office. NOT a doctors office where many people come in because it is covered by their insurance. Many, not all - but it sure would be nice to have a note if this is appreciated rather than TALKING ABOUT IT IN FRONT OF OTHER CLIENTS! SOOO SOOOO DISAPPOINTING ON SO MANY LEVELS! Not 2, but 3 times did I give them a chance to show some kind of customer service... what was I thinking!?

I took the medication for 3 days and still had zero relief, so I called and left a message with the NM answering service (you can't get through to a doctor at all if you are with Northwestern Medicine, they have an answering service taking all calls) on 12/23. Still hadn't received a call back by 12/26. Called again 2 times on 12/26 and no returned call. Called again on 12/27 and left another message. Finally received a call back from someone from her office and she said he would have to talk to the doctor and get back to me. The woman didn't call me again until 12/28 and left me a message saying the doctor would like me to make an appt. So 5 days of in extreme pain and I would need to make an appt to come in to see her. I don't think so. Save yourself the time and see someone else.

Dr. Persino rocks my socks off! I started seeing him about 5 years ago after I moved to the area…read moreand read tons of online reviews of the options nearby. I decided to go to Dr. Persino after reading his really great Google reviews, and now, years later, I'm so happy with my decision! (I think the one review that really stood out to me was a woman who had said she moved 3 hours away but liked Dr. Persino so much that she continued to see him and had him deliver her two subsequent babies, even though she moved far away!). Here's the gist of why I think he's so great: He's been an OBGYN for many years, and is very knowledgable and confident in his abilities. He's hilarious and easy-going, and he really puts my mind at ease, since I tend to be a bit of a worry wort. His great sense of humor and super friendly demeanor make him very approachable and easy to talk to. He has out-of-this-world bedside manner, and does not rush through appointments. He will answer any and all questions you have, chat about random things, and even throw a couple one-liners in for good measure :) He delivered our son three years ago and did an awesome job. He knew I really wanted a vaginal delivery and after hours of labor and pushing, instead of recommending we do a Caesarian to just get it over with, he stuck by my side, cheered me on, and followed my wishes of letting me deliver my son vaginally (even though it probably took longer and was more inconvenient for him). I'm currently under his care for a twin pregnancy. I know Caesarian is more likely with a multiple pregnancy, and he has assured me multiple times that we will try for a vaginal delivery if possible. Knowing I'm a bit scared of a c-section, he has talked to me about the surgery and the whole process, and has really eased my fears. I know that my babies (and I) are getting the very best care under Dr. Persino's watch. I cannot imagine going to anyone else, and I wholeheartedly recommend him! Sidenote: Sometimes office staff can really make or break an office visit experience. I have to say that two people at this office really stand out in particular as consistently being awesome- Sue, his receptionist, and Christa (sp?) are so incredibly friendly and enjoyable to talk to. They've both gone out of their way to help me out on various occasions. I actually look forward to catching up with them when I have an appt. and feel like they really care about the progress of my pregnancy and me! One more thing (as if this isn't long enough!): I like that it's a smaller-ish office and I don't feel like cattle they are just herding through the doors. When I go, everyone recognizes me and calls me by name...not something you usually get with a suburban medical office. Just an added bonus I wanted to mention. Bottom line: If you're looking for an experienced, knowledgable, and super friendly OBGYN- go to Dr. Persino!

I would give him a 10/10 with bedside manner. When I had a few emergency type situations (dehydration and lack of fetal movement) he really did put me at ease, let me come in and we did a sonogram to make sure everything was ok. Because he wasn't panicking, I could calm down. Turned out everything was fine. I would highly recommend him as well as Dr. Wittman to any of my close friends. The staff is always courteous and extremely efficient, and the nurses are sweethearts. I have gone to this office since 2003 and only had to switch because I moved 50 miles away.
