I went to RISE a few weeks ago while visiting Providence from Boston. I was very impressed with the business model they run there. My 'mode of choice' is gummies, so I disagree with several of the one star reviews written here about flower - there is a wide variety and I feel like the costs were reasonable. The floor saleswoman was great, helping guide me through the options on the kiosk (looked like a small ATM), you can even search in different ways....form, cost, flavor, intensity, etc. I love the fact you don't have to pay in only cash. You place your order at the kiosk, then get in line to pick up and pay. Fast and efficient. I'm definitely going back! read more

Be careful they are known to false advertise their THC levels on the flower I ran into this problem three times already then they are quick after you spend top dollar thinking you're getting some high potency flower they are quick to say it was a glitch after you spend your money. This was the worst dispensary I have ever been to in my life and I have lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. They have 2 floor workers that are absolutely useless and after being useless they make you order off of a tablet. After ordering your mystery weed be prepared to wait in a 45 minute line. Don't rely on this place if you actually need your medicine. I placed an order at 2 PM, got a confirmation call at 3 PM, stating order would be arriving between 7-9pm and sat home for 5 hours waiting. At 7:45 PM--well before their 11 PM closing time--they called to cancel because they "didn't feel like" sending their only driver (who was already out during this phone call at 7pm). A 12-minute drive was too "inconvenient" for them to honor a confirmed medical delivery offered. FROM 2pm? It is pathetic for a business to confirm an order and then bail because they're too lazy to staff their shifts. They clearly have zero respect for patients' time or health. If you want a service that actually does its job, go literally anywhere else. RISE IS a joke. read more

I,m very upset by the greed of rise dispensary!! I no Longer will be doing any business with them. They make enough money that they don't need to have higher prices than surrounding dispensaries, and their reward system stinks compared to many others. The staff is always nice but that Doesn't make up for higher prices that they pass on to their customers. This facility is not regularly cleaned and the standard for when it is simply remains for visual appeal as per staff discretion (e.g., new hires, not management). That means that no one truly checks whether or not the toilet was cleaned this year, besides the odd volunteer! The dust you may notice corralling the facility originated via the dirty overhead ventilation system that precipitates large "bunnies." On the note of vermin, they do have a serious issue of mice and rats, they ought try mopping the floor because that is part of a regular sweep and mop routine. read more

Review based off staff Flower selection was good. Plenty of hype brands. Edibles were good. Price was fair before the taxes, but high but fair at the end of the day for being on a vacation. No first time discounts. Others in the state always do discounts, aswell as Maine, CT, MA, and plenty of other legal setting states. I was upset because I had watched them give a man infront of me a discount of 25% or 25$ off using some point system for him being a first time patient, and me; squat. Not a complainer so I sucked it up and paid the price. Pack of papers was 14$ after tax but fortunately the guy warned me before hand. Disappointed in looking up "best dispensary in the state" spending a couple hundred dollars, and getting that kind of treatment. Also waited in a line for roughly a hour. Luckily the flower was bomb, but i don't know if me watching someone else get a first time discount, then getting denied will make me return to spend my hard earned cash. I'm reviewing the new location, and I'm a medical patient. The new location is nice. I usually do my order on my phone in the car, and it's ready by the time I get to the counter. I'm a medical patient, and I've never had to wait in line. This makes it worth stopping in quickly to grab something after work or before dinner / a movie. Every once in a while, you can get some good medicine, but in general, RI has far worse flower and growers than Mass and especially Maine. The staff is friendly, but if you're actually coming here for medical purposes and not just to get high, the staff doesn't really know anything besides the basics. They have a good rewards program, and it's a convenient location. Only my first choice because of location. read more

I only wrote a bad review regarding the same issue at this dispensary. I've never written a bad review for any industry let alone 2! Not only was the problem not fixed it's WORSE. This dispensary has a history of running out of product and making any substitution they deem okay. At this visit not only did they arbitrarily make substitutions, but changed my order from Sativa to Indica. I ordered 5 pre-rolls (2 Indica/ 3 Sativa) when I picked up the order it was 5 Indica. I'm a patient - I don't get it. I put this order in at 8:30 am - perhaps had they filled the order when I placed it - I might have gotten what I ordered. I have spoken to 2 different people at this dispensary, I guess its now on me to find a new place to shop since its only getting worse. read more

The staff has an attitude problem. Very condescending. I'm a med patient and time and time again when I walk thru the door they assume I'm recreational and direct me to the recreational line. The staff needs to stop assuming every customer is there to pick up weed just to sit in bed and smoke all day. Some of us actually need it for medicinal purposes. I don't feel like a patient I feel like a customer. Every single person I know who used to go to Summit refuses to go to RISE, for this exact reason. I used to be able to walk into what used to be Summit and talk to the staff about their day and ask for their recommendations or any deals going on. Now all of my questions are met with disdain FOR NO REASON. The new owners of this place do not care about treating each customer with care, or ensuring a fulfilling experience in the store. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. I gave them 1 star because I can't go any lower. The workers all have attitude problems, it's like they all make it their mission to waste as much time per customer as they can. This is the reason why the lines are always so long, it's not because of good business; it's because they're all BACKED UP! I also put in an online order recently, thinking this would make things easier. Nope, the front desk clerk refused to allow me in, telling me that the order must've been placed under another name because I was not there. I showed her that i got the confirmation email, and text messages AND I STILL LEFT WITH NO PRODUCT! Between management and employees, RISE dispensary is a shit-show and I DO NOT RECOMMEND ... Head to Slater Center where they appreciate your money more AND they have a drive-thru unlike this waste of space of a company. read more

Giving 2 stars because of convenience but everything else just isn't worth it. The part that bothers me the most about your establishment is the product I order off the website is never the product I get. For instance they'll show a beautiful box well packaged and the glass jar next to it with the bud in it. Buy that same product and it's given to you the cheap black mylar bag. In a world of legal cannabis and endless choices on where I spend my money packaging matters. In the very least just put the bud up there in the bag so I don't feel like I've gotten the bait and switch. Last week bought the hash, on the site it's a beautiful pressed square of hash. Get it home and it's a blob of poorly refined hash, still green with plant matter. It's little stuff like this that makes rise my last choice and it's literally 3 minutes from my house. I'd rather take the trip to Massachusetts and hit Zahara where you get a killer reward system, fresh product, prices are out the door so no surprises. Do better rise. read more

The girl in Christmas pajamas at the counter yelled at me and did not give me a receipt nor make me want to ever return. Not personable at all and felt like I was inconveniencing her for being there. First off when you pull in you see the long lines which are expected. Then a parking attendant rudely says I have to park about an eighth of a mile down the road at another parking lot because I'm recreational not medical. There were at least eight parking spots available in the parking lot at the dispensary at rise and she said those were for medical patients only. So I went down a block and a half and parked I then walked and I had to stand in line the recreational line. That makes sense. The recreation line obviously was about 10 times as long as the medicinal line. But as many times as they open the door to let people in they would let medicinal in every time before recreational. At one point I was at 45 minutes in line a woman walked up who was medicinal and in 3 minutes she was inside. Once inside there were five cash registers with five cashiers for medical marijuana only and only two and then they increased it to three for recreational. When I asked why and if there was any way they could adjust that he said, the person in charge who I could apparently tell was in charge, said "medicinal always come first. " I jokingly, yet serious, said well isn't that kind of like discrimination Hahaha and he replies "yes it's discrimination" and then with a smog face walked away. The people that were there were intimidating that had Security on they were not friendly and when I left half the parking lot was empty yet they were still turning recreational people away and making them park in the parking lot a quarter of the way down the road. With empty spa es at rhe dispensary. They also offer curbside by the way available for medical only as well. I k ow there are growing pains.... But I didn't leave rhe exit for 2hrs and 10 mins.... And if it was any other place in MA.... It was a 10. In line. It took me 2 hrs. Unacceptable. Be ready. I know it's new, but you have alot of changes to make. read more
